A Fine Friendship
"Where were you?" Maddox asked, trying his best to sound like he was just making conversation.
"I went to return the car like you told me to," Cardi said with an attitude.
"Oh," said Maxwell, relieved to hear that she'd returned the car.
Cardi started to walk up the stairs when Maddox stopped her.
"Here." He said, throwing a set of car keys at her.
Cardi catches the car keys.
"What? Did you buy me a car?" Cardi asked.
"It's parked in the garage. You're welcome." He answered, walking away as Cardi smiled.
"El mollejón," Cardi said, as she walked up the stairs and towards her bedroom.
Alana came out of her room and squealed.
"Mommy!" Alanna exclaimed, running into Cardi's arms.
"Hey, baby, what are you doing?" Cardi asked.
"I want ice cream," Alanna answered.
Cardi smiled.
"Okay, let's go get some ice cream." She said.

Tonight we're celebrating my homegirl, Erica's birthday, and Janay had invited Axel since that's her man now or whatever.
I was lowkey hoping Maddox would come out with Axel but he didn't show up so I guess that's a good thing cause I'm drunk as hell right now and he doesn't need to see me like that again.
We were currently in the VIP section of the nightclub that I had found out, Axel owned it. Honestly, I'm surprised these niggas ain't the Politicians of the damn city.
"Aye! Go Cardi!" Jessica yelled as I twerked on Erica.
"This your lap dance!" I yelled as Erica slapped my ass.
Once the music switched, I stopped dancing and took a seat next to Erica.
I noticed some chick staring at me. I looked her up and down like what's up but she just rolled her eyes at me.
As the night continued, I was getting agitated at the chick who kept staring me down.
"Do you know her?" Jessica asked.
"No," I answered.
"So, why is she staring you down like that?" Jessica asked.
"I don't know but I'm agitated," I replied.
Nettie leaned over and whispered in my ear.
"That's Maddox's ex-girlfriend," Nettie said.

"But she built like a football player," I said.
Nettie laughed.
"I guess she must be another one of his jealous groupies," I said as I watched the girl stand up and walk over to me so I decided to stand up because you never know with the girls out here in New York.
"What's poppin'?" I asked her as she stood in front of me.
"What's up with you, bitch?" She asked.
"What's up with who?" I asked.
"Can I help you?" I asked.
"You know who I am." She answered.
"I don't," I said.
"So you're the bird that's working for my man. Did you fuck him for your position?" She asked.
"No, let me tell you something, I don't have to fuck to get any position. And if I was fucking him, trust me you would know and he is not your man." I answered.
"You dumb bitch." She said.
"Who the fuck is you talking to?" I asked as I into attack mode and snatched her hair and started punching her
"Bitch, let my hair go!" She screamed.
"Oh my God! Cardi, no!" Erica yelled as Nettie and Janay tried to get around security.
Jessica ended up fighting the girl's friend, who tried to jump in.
Erica was trying to help security separate us.
"Stop it, y'all bugging," Erica said.
"Yoo! Chill out!" Axel yelled as he was trying to grab Janay and Nettie from beating up security.
They finally separated the girl and me. I wasn't even paying attention to who was dragging me away from the girl.
"No! Wait! Let me get that bitch!" I yelled, trying to get out of the person's arms.
"Where's that bitch at?!" The girl yelled, taking off her shoes.
"I'm right here!" I yelled, trying to get to her.
"Stop it!" The person dragged me out of the club and put me in a car. I looked at the person and it was Maddox.
I rolled my eyes.
"Get me the fuck out of the car. I swear to God, I'll smash this window." I said as I started kicking the window.
"Stop it, Cardi!" Maddox yelled.
"Let me out!" I yelled.
"Yoo! Relax." He said.
"I'll break this bitch!" I yelled.
I managed to break the window.
"Get me out of here!" I yelled.
Maddox opened the door and snatched me out of the car.
"What the fuck is your problem?" He asked.
"You!" I answered as I pointed at him.
"This the second bitch coming up to me, trying my gangster about you and I'm not even fucking you!" I yelled.
"Watch how you talk to me, Cardi." He said.
"What the fuck are you going to do?" I asked.
"Don't test me, Cardi." He replied.
"Fuck you and them ugly ass hoes you be messing with," I said.
Maddox tried to touch me.
"Don't fucking touch me," I said.
"This night is fucked up," Erica said as the group walked out of the club to see Maddox and me arguing.
"What the hell do you want me to do about that?" He asked.
"Check your bitches!" I yelled.
I decided to walk away from him so that I wouldn't put my hands on him.
"Cardi!" Nettie said, chasing after me.
I kept walking.
Nettie caught up to me and grabbed my arm.
"What the fuck happened? Why did you smash his car's window?" Nettie asked.
"Fuck him," I answered.

"Thank you," Nettie said as the waiter placed our food on the table.
"Yummy," I said as I stuck out my tongue.
The waiter walked away and we started eating.
"What the hell happened last night?" Princess asked.
"Oh yeah, Erica told me about that fight at the club," Brooke said.
I rolled my eyes.
"First of all, look at her hands. They're all bruised up and shit. She went crazy last night. I've never seen her like that." Nettie said.
"I just let out that build-up anger I had in me. Plus I'm tired of Maddox and his bitches." I said.
"What bitches? Who do we have to pay a visit to?" Brooke asked.
"Girl, it's this one that thinks she can keep trying, Quiava, I guess she's like his business partner," I answered.
"Quiava," Princess said as she took a sip of the drink. "I know a lot about that nasty ass hoe. Just say the word and I'll pull up on her." She said.
"I think we should go to the house and let her know she fucking with the wrong one," Brooke said.
"Girl no, Maddox will cuss our asses out," Nettie said.
"And who gives a fuck. Maddox can kiss my ass." I said.
Brooke almost spit out her drink and quickly covered her mouth and put her drink down.
"Girl not kiss my ass," Brooke said, laughing.
"He shows up everywhere and always picks me up like I'm a rag doll. I swear ever since I started working for him. I've been fighting off jealous groupies and I'm in a middle of a rivalry over pussy. I think I'm going to quit. Yeah, that's what I need to do." I said.
"Girl no, what the fuck you're going to do? Go back to stripping." Nettie said.
"I've never been in so much drama in my life so if I have to go back to stripping then I'll do it," I said.
"It's not that deep. Just talk to him or ignore him and do your job." Brooke said.
"Right, you're making some good ass money and I don't want to see your ass back in the strip club," Princess said.
"Right," Nettie said.
I sighed.
"I don't know. I'll try but I don't want to deal with him." I said.
"Do you have feelings for him?" Princess asked.
"I mean I ain't blind but I could never see myself with him. Do I look like I want to spend the rest of my life, fighting bitches over him? No." I answered.
Nettie, Princess, and Brooke looked at each other.
"She likes him." They said at the same time.
I glared at them.
"No, I don't," I said, pouting.
They laughed.
"Let's pull up on Maddox," Princess said.
"Do you know where he is?" Brooked asked me.
"No," I answered.
