Pills
I groaned when he softly kissed my shoulder. We are lying down on the bed, both naked. Iritado na ako dahil hindi maintindihan ang sarili. Bakit ba palagi na lang akong bumibigay?
Humigpit ang yakap niya sa akin. Second day niya pa lang sa bahay pero dalawang beses na rin may nangyari sa amin! Hindi pa nga umabot sa gabi! Gano'n ba ako karupok? Oh my gosh Nathalia. I facepalmed myself.
"What are you thinking?" I got startled by his voice.
"Nothing." nakakunot noong saad ko.

"Stop it already, aren't you tired? We did four!" Iritadong iritado na. He chuckled.
"I'm sorry," he pursed his lips. "I just can't get enough of you. Five years baby, five years."
"What do you mean five years? For five years you did not touch any woman?" nagdududang saad ko.
"Yes." he confidently said.
"What? Liar!"
"What? I'm not lying." napailing siya.
"I'm not believing you."
"I was so busy looking for you, you're the one I wanna touch." he playfully wiggled his eyebrows. Nag init ang magkabilang pisngi ko sa sinabi niya.
"You can't make me belive yo-" a knock on the door stopped me.
"Kuya? Ate?" it's Alexis' voice. Napabalikwas ako at agad na tinungo ang mga damit kong hinagis niya kanina.
"Yes?" sagot ko habang nagkukumahog sa pagpulot ng mga damit.
"Your friend, Adie, is done cooking the food. Let's eat."
"Yes, we will be there. Thanks Alexis!" sagot ko.
"Okay." nang marinig ang yabag niya paalis ay pumasok ako ng banyo para mabilis na maglinis ng katawan. Bumukas ang pinto at iniluwa si Atlas. He's looking at me while I'm in the shower, completely naked. His eyes darted at my round breast. I can say that even though I'm a mom now and I breast fed Atreus when he was a baby, my breasts are still perfectly round.
Walang sabi sabi ay pumasok siya sa shower.
"Atlas!" inis na saway ko. "Will you give me some privacy?" he only stared at me. My thoughts flew away when I saw his erection.
Nalaglag ang panga ko. What the hell?
Napalunok ako nang hinapit niya ako sa baywang.

"There's your momma." tinuro ako ni Alexis habang kausap si Atreus.
"Mommy!" agad namang tumakbo ang bata papunta sa akin.
"Hey baby." I softly kissed his cheek.
"Where's daddy mommy?" nakangusong saad niya. Ang cute. I lightly pinched his cheeks.
"He's upstairs taking shower." dahilan ko para naman hindi nila mahalatang sabay kaming naligo. Napangiwi ako sa sariling iniisip.
I sat down on the corner of the twelve seater dining table. I made Atreus sit beside me, then Noah is beside him. Alexis is next, then Nathan and Kuya. On the other side is mom then Adie, Ria, and Ana. Dad is on the other end, the other end of the table is for Atlas.
"Let's eat." agad na saad ni Atlas pagkaupo niya. He's looking at me while his lips plastered a playful smile. Napalunok ako.
"Where the heck is it!?" I can't find the bottle of pills I asked Ria to buy for me yesterday. Ngayon ko lang naalalang uminom dahil naging abala kahapon.
Napahilamos ako ng mga palad sa mukha. I swear to god, if I get pregnant again. I puffed my breath. It will be the end of me.
Hinalughog ko ang buong storage box at medicine kit sa bathroom pero hindi ko makita. I groaned. I need to buy a new one.
"Are you looking for something?" a deep baritone voice made me jump. Hinarap ko ang pinto kung nasaan naka tayo si Atlas. He raised his brows and crossed his arms making his biceps flex. He's serious.
"Uh... have you seen my pills?" nag aalinlangan tanong ko.
"I didn't." he said seriously. Napalunok ako sa klase ng tinging ibinabato niya sa akin. Nakakapaso.
"I have to go somewhere. You stay here with Atreus, play with him." nag iwas ako ng tingin sa kanya at nagmamadaling tinungo ang pinto. Bahagya ko pa siyang nabangga pero hindi niya naman ako pinigilan.
Dire-diretso akong bumaba at pumunta sa garahe. Mabilis kong pinaandar ang makina at agad na pinasibad. Mahirap na, baka sumama pa iyon sa akin.
I drove past Sharmaine's house and pulled to the nearest pharmacy we have here in Beverly. My forehead creased when the staff started taking pictures of me. Then I remembered, I am a freaking model!
Hindi ko na sila pinansin. Dali dali akong pumunta sa counter at agad na nag request ng contraceptives. I really need this now. Ilang beses nang may nangyari sa amin ni Atlas and he always does it inside me, I will not be able to sleep soundly tonight if I can't take one pill today.
"Uhm. Excuse me, what's your best contraceptive pill here?"
"Are you miss Nathalia Villaruiz?" the pretty pharmacist smiled at me. Nagtataka man ay nag aalinlangang tumango ako.

Ang isang pharmacist na payat at sobrang puti na sa tingin ko ay manager nila, ay biglang lumapit sa babaeng nakausap ko. May binulong siya sa babae na ikinakunot noo nito.

"It's complicated ma'am."
"This is... ugh."
Wala sa sariling tinalikuran ko siya at lumabas. If they don't have enough contraceptives here then I'll go buy some in a different pharmacy. I drove the car to a different store.
"I'm sorry but it's currently out of stock madam." what? I tried other pharmacies too.
"We can't sell some right now." This is pure discrimination!
"You can go try on the other pharmacy ma'am but we really can't sell it to you." napahilamos ako ng mga palad dahil halos lahat sila ay ayaw akong pag bentahan. Halos isang oras na rin akong nag hahanap ng mapagbibilhan pero puro wala. Anong kalokohan to? May shortage ba sa stock ng mga contraceptives?
Sa huli ay umuwi na lang ako.
Magbibihis ako at pupunta na lang sa isang OBGYN. I'll get some contraceptive shot.
Dali dali akong umakyat at tinungo ang closet. I didn't see Atlas and Atreus, maybe he listened to what I said earlier. I took a black tank top and a black leggings then I wore my black combat shoes. Akmang bubuksan ko ang pinto nang mag bukas ito.

"Y-yeah." umiwas ako ng tingin nang hindi nakayanan. Napaatras ako nang humakbang siya palapit. Natigilan siya. I faced him.
"Can I come with you?" ang kalmadong tono niya ay mas nagpakaba sa akin.
"Uh I don't think so, mabilis lang naman... ako." napangiwi ako. Why am I nervous!?
"I'm coming with you." with that, tinalikuran niya ako at dumiretso sa closet.
Ilang minuto lang ang tinagal niya doon, paglabas niya ay nakabihis na siya ng denim pants at plain black shirt. He wore some black high cut leather shoes.
Pinuntahan namin ang playroom kung saan busy ang dalawang bata. Nilapitan ko si Atreus, I squatted beside him and kissed his cheek. Nagulat siya. Noah only stared at me.
"Mommy has to do something, you stay here and behave okay?"
"Where are you going mommy?" I kissed his cheek again.
"I will be going to the doctor. Do you want me to buy you something?" umiling siya. Sa gilid ko ay lumapit din si Atlas. He squatted too and kissed Atreus' head.
"We'll be back." He whispered. Narinig ko rin naman.
I moved to the other side and kissed Noah's cheek. Nahihiyang ngumiti siya.
"Do you want tita to buy you something?" I lightly pinched his cheek.
"Uh..." Tumingala siya. Tila nagiisip.
"Hmm?" niyakap ko siya. Pinanggigigilan.
"I... I want a toy car."
"Oh you want toys?" I smiled. Tumango siya. "Wait for tita here okay? I'll buy you toys."
Pagkatapos naming magpaalam sa mga bata ay tinungo namin ang garahe.
"I'll drive." Atlas.
We rode the Rolls Royce and headed to my OBGYN, Dr. Amira Welch. She's the one who made me deliver Atreus.
"Hi there, pretty!" her high pitched voice echoed across the lobby of her clinic.
"Hello." masiglang bati ko. I kissed her left cheek. Her eyes drifted to my back.
"Is he your husband?" A perfect smile plastered on her face.
"Oh no, no. I'm not married." I laughed awkwardly. She apologetically looked at me.
"I'm sorry!"
"It's fine," hinila ko si Atlas mula sa aking likod at hinarap kay doktora. "This is Atlas, Atreus' dad."
"Oh..." napatango tango siya. "So why are you here today?" hindi pa ko naakakasagot ay namilog ang kanyang mga mata. "Are you pregnant again?"
Nanlaki ang mga mata ko at sunod sunod na umiling.
"No," nahihiyang lumapit pa ako sa kanya. If I need a shot that means I am practicing sex. "I need to get a shot." I whispered to her. Tiningnan niya ako.
Kumunot ang noo ni Atlas.
"Okay... Come." she smiled at me. Iginiya niya kami sa loob ng office niya. She discussed some things to us. My cheeks heated. This is embarrassing!
After the discussions, we proceeded to the room where I will be getting the shot. Nag taka ako nang hindi pumasok si Atlas. Lumabas ulit si doktora para may kunin at mag prepare kaya nag hintay na lang ako rito sa loob. Atlas is still outside.
"Hello again." bumalik siya. Napakunot ang noo ko nang magkasunod silang dalawa ni Atlas sa pagpasok. Maybe she talked to him into getting inside?
Ikinibit balikat ko na lang ang iniisip.
I smiled at her when she sat down on the chair on the left side of the patient chair.
"This will be fast but will sting a little bit okay?" She gently touched my left arm. Atlas is on my right side, trying to see everything that the doctor's do. He touched my hands and gently creased it.

The effect will only last for six months. We thanked Doc Amira and paid the bill. Then we headed straight to the mall to buy some of the things I need this week and Noah's toys.

Walang ginawa si Atlas kung hindi ay tumitig lang sa akin at sumunod sa kung saan man ako dalhin ng mga paa ko. I'm glad actually, he feels like invincible.
"Thalia right?" a six foot tall guy stopped me from walking. Natigilan ako.
"Uh... yes?"
"I knew it! You're The Hills' Magazine's new model." he smiled flirtily.
A strong hand snaked on my waist making the guy back up a little bit.
"Do you need something?" Atlas' cold voice made the guy blink his eyes. Bumaba ang tingin niya sa kamay ni Atlas na nakapulupot sa akin.
"Oh no dude," pekeng ngumiti ang lalaki. Dahan dahan siyang naglakad patalikod. "Your girl's cool." he said cooly pagkatapos ay tumalikod siya at naglakad.
I puffed a breath.
"Do guys approach you like this often?" may pag aalalang saad niya. His forehead creased.
"Not really." I answered. He sighed.
I started walking again, leaving him there. Tinungo ko ang counter para magbayad. Mabilis din naman siyang nakasunod sa akin.
"Ako na." giit ko.
"No, I'll pay for it."
"Kaya ko naman Atlas, ako na."
"I know but let me." he looked at me seriously. Napanguso ako at nag iwas ng tingin. I'm not used to this!
When we came back to the house, the two kids were so happy. They loved the toys, they wanted us to play with them so me and Atlas played with them for almost an hour now.
We are all sitting on the carpeted floor when my phone rang beside me. Mabilis na bumaling sa akin ang tingin ni Atlas. Itinaas ko ang aking mga kilay pero hindi pa rin niya inaalis ang kanyang tingin sa akin.
Dinampot ko ang aking cellphone mula sa sahig at tiningnan kung sino ang tumatawag. It's Adam, agad kong sinagot ang tawag.
"Hello!" masigla kong bati. Atlas kept his stare at me, observing my reactions.
"[Good afternoon Thalia.]" his deep voice echoed in his background.
"Good afternoon Adam." tila naalarma siya kaya nilapitan ako lalo. He sat so close beside me. Halos pumatong ang kaliwang hita ko sa kanya. I glared at him.
"Mommy, is that Uncle Adam?" napatingin ako kay Atreus na lumapit sa kanang tenga ko at idinikit ang kanyang tenga sa cellphone.
"Yes baby." sagot ko. Wala akong nagawa kung hindi ay i-loudspeaker ang cellphone. Atlas' stare grows heavier every second, halos galit pa nga!
"[Hello baby Atreus! Do you miss Uncle?]" sa kanyang boses ay malalaman mong sa likod ng cellphone ay nakangiti siya.
"Yes Uncle! I miss you! When are you coming home?"
"[Oh... I'm sorry kiddo, I can't promise you when but I'll be visiting one of these days.]"
"Ok Uncle!" bumalik ulit sa paglalaro si Atreus pero ang madilim na titig ng kanyang ama sa akin ay hindi na natanggal. I slightly trembled.

"Oh I'm completely fine Adam. I'm actually doing great." I turned off the loudspeaker.
Atlas fakely coughed making me look at him. Pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata.
"[Who's that?]" napahinga ako ng malalim sa tanong niya.
"I'll tell you once you visit the house." medyo pabulong kong saad.
"Thalia, are you done with the call?" pangungulit ni Atlas. This time, inabot ko at mahina siyang kinurot. He groaned and captured my left hand. Hindi niya talaga mapigilan ang bunganga niya!
I gasped when Atlas' lips suddenly touched my left neck, and since the phone is on the right side of my ear, he has access to the other side!
