More than two months had passed since Kano and Haruna went on a mission. They're often on a mission with Kazumi but sometimes not. Just like any other slayers, they're also given their own missions by Kazumi herself from Kagaya.
Today, Sanemi decided to pay Kazumi a short visit before he leave for his mission by sunset. As he gets closer there, he didn't expect to see someone on his way.
"Ah! Aniki, how are you?" Genya asked smiling at Sanemi.
"Fine and you? What're you doing here?"
"I also wanna pay Kazumi-chan a visit. It's been quite a while since I went to visit there."
The two brothers chatted as they walk to the Frost Estate, they had a very long misunderstanding with each other before. But after their encounter with Kazumi as an individual, she managed to shove some sense into Sanemi to treat his only brother left well.
"Came for a visit I see." Ringo said opening the doors to see the two.
"Yeah, is she there?" Genya asked.
"Yes, she's inside playing with the kids."
Sanemi and Genya walked on the empty halls led by Ringo. As they reach one of the living rooms, they could hear the children's laughs and noises.
"Catch me!" Setsuko said cheerfully as she run away from Otaru.
"This way!" Ai called.
They saw the children running around playing tag. While the other children are sitting on the sideline to watch them, including Kazumi.
"Master." Ringo called.
Kazumi turned her head to her direction just to see Sanemi and Genya.
"Nemi-nii, Genya-nii." She said as she stood up from her position and Hideshi about to follow her when Togashi grabbed him.
"Let's play with them!" Togashi said happily as he drag his brother to play along with the others.
"Seems like they're enjoying huh." Sanemi said looking at the children.
"Yes, they've been playing since this morning. They're really energetic." Kazumi replied.
Nahori soon came holding a tray of tea and a teapot for them with some snacks.
"Thank you Nahori-chan!" Kazumi said beaming her usual bright smile to Nahori.
"Please call me if there's more you would like Kazumi-sama." Nahori replied before walking back to the kitchen.
As she walk away, she could feel her face get warmer, she held it with her hands.
'She's really cute as always!'
Nahori mentally squealed.
If someone ever heard that, she would sound like Mitsuri squealing over cute things. The three of them chatted inside the living room while watching the children play.
"They just remind me of my younger siblings. Whenever they play, they're just so noisy like this." Sanemi commented as he watch the children with a warm smile on his face.
"Yes, aniki's right! They're also very energetic and loud." Genya added sipping his tea.
"I see, that's really wonderful! I'm sure they're still as energetic and loud as they are to their paradise." Kazumi replied looking at the two brothers who are watching the kids with a smile on their faces.
'Just seeing these two together like this, it's a relief to see the both of them happy.'
Kazumi thought as she turn her head to watch the kids.
The children soon stopped running around to rest for a while. They sat down the floor panting and covered with sweat.
"Now you guys are tired." Sanemi said enough for them to hear.
Shizuko soon smirked before looking at Togashi who managed to get his idea and smirk too. Sanemi sweatdropped at this and was about to stand up when, Genya grabbed his haori from behind. He looked back to his brother who's already being dragged by the children and the same thing happening to Kazumi.
"Aniki..."
"No..."
The children pulled them and kept on asking for Genya and Sanemi to play with them. Sanemi's a little bit hesitant but he got to accept it. The children became a bit close with the other Pillars since everytime a Pillar would come to visit Kazumi, they would often ask them to play with them.
"Hey wait! How come I'm the it?!" Sanemi asked looking at Shizuko.
"Of course, cause you joined last!" Shizuko answered with a smirk.
"I swear I'll find you first!" Sanemi said to Shizuko before walking to a wall to count.
"Go hide hurry!" Kazumi whispered to them.
They all got out of the living room to find a place to hide. Some of them went to the kitchen and some of them went to the dining room. Genya went outside and hid under the veranda together with the triplets.
"Ready or not here I come!!!" Sanemi announced.
He walked out of the living room to search for the children. He went inside the other living room but found no one. He walked on the veranda on his way to the kitchen. He looked around and heard some muffled noises from inside a huge vase. He smirked as he slowly open it.
"Found you!" Sanemi said smirking at Shizuko who's inside the huge vase.
"Wha—! Unfair!" Shizuko retorted pouting.
"Tch! As I said, I'll find you first!"
He continued to look around. He opened the cabinets in the kitchen and found the rest there. He went outside to look for the remaining five, they are Genya, Ai, Togashi, Hideshi and of course Kazumi.
Genya and the triplets are covering their mouths with their hands because of their giggling noises. They finally heard footsteps coming closer and held their mouths tighter.
"Where are they?" Sanemi asked his self standing on the spot where Genya and the triplets are hiding.
He then heard some muffled noises and looked around to see who it is, he saw no one. He finally looked down on his feet and sighed.
"Guess I'll look at the other way." Sanemi said as he walk away.
Genya and the children sighed and giggled a little.
"Boo!" Sanemi's head suddenly showed up in front of them from the top of the veranda.
"Waaaaaah!!!" The four of them shouted.
"We thought you really left." Togashi said as they all walk back inside the living room now.
"Yeah. You said you'll look at the other way." Ai added holding Hideshi's hand.
Hideshi just nodded agreeing to both his siblings.
"Even me, I got tricked too." Genya said, his head hanging down low.
"Tch. Under the veranda huh, nice hiding place." Sanemi commented.
"Only one's left."
"Hah! You still haven't found Oka-sama!" Togashi said pointing his index finger to him.
"I'll find her okay?! Just go back inside!" Sanemi replied.
He got down the veranda to look under for her, he found no one. He went back to the dining room, he found no one. He went back to the kitchen and opened the cabinets again, he found no one.
"Just where the hell is she?!" He mumbled to himself.
Sanemi went out of the dining room not noticing Kazumi on the ceiling. She jumped down silently before hiding inside one of the cabinets. He jumped up the roof to look for her if she's there, he found no one. He jumped back down and turned around.
"Fuck!"
Sanemi got surprised to see the one he's looking for already in front of him standing on the veranda. She put a hand on her mouth to stop herself from giggling.
"Come here shorty." Sanemi said smirking.
Kazumi run away while Sanemi chased after her.
"Your face looked so funny Nemi-nii! Hahaha!!!"
"Shut up!!!"
They chased each other until they reached the living room where the children are.
"Eh?! That scarred beast found you nii-sama?!" Shizuko frowned.
"No, I showed up myself." Kazumi replied.
"Hey brat! What did you just call me?" Sanemi said appearing behind Kazumi.
Shizuko sweatdropped and gulped before running out of the living room, Sanemi chased him. The children just giggled and even Genya. Seeing his older-brother getting along with the others made him happy, he remembered those times they were playing like this too with their younger siblings. He sighed.
"Something wrong?" Kazumi asked tilting her head to the side.
"Nothing, I'm just happy." Genya answered.
'Hngh! She's really adorable doing that.'
Genya mentally praised.
"You're blushing!" Kazumi pointed her finger at him.
Genya flinched and turned his head away blushing even more. The children saw this and laughed at him.
"Everyone look! Genya-san's blushing!" Otaru said pointing his finger at Genya.
"He looks like a tomato!" Mitsuki added.
"P-Please stop! I-I don't look like a tomato at all!" Genya turned his head to look at them.
This only made them laugh even louder seeing his red embarassed face.
"You really look like one Genya-nii!" Kazumi cheerfully said giving him a headpat.
This only made Genya fall on his knees and cover his red face with his hands.
"I wanna hide." He mumbled to himself still being patted by Kazumi.
He remembered how embarrassed he was the time he found out Kazumi's a girl.

Kazumi decided to pay Gyomei a visit to his place. While she's on her way there, she didn't expect to see someone. He's training with his sword swings.
"Argh! Dammit!!!" He cussed out of frustration.
"Seems like you're working hard on your training."
Genya turned his head to the source of the voice. He saw someone wearing a demon slayer uniform with a black haori with red smoke edges and a sword smiling at him.
"Who are you?" He asked.
"I'm Kazumi, I came here to visit Gyomei-san. I didn't expect to see another person here." Kazumi answered.
"He's out so leave now."
Genya continued on his sword swings not minding Kazumi who walked towards a tree and sat under it. She's watching him train and she put the basket she's holding beside her.
"Are you really not gonna leave?!" Genya snapped his head to her direction with an irritated look.
"No, I'll watch you while waiting for him. Besides, you're doing well with your sword swings."
Her compliment just now made Genya stare at her for a second. He then turned to fully look at her.
"Tch! You're lying! I can't even do breaths!"
She tilted her head to the side looking at Genya.
"I can't perform any type of breathing!!!" He answered gritting his teeth.
"Then, that's alright. As long as you keep on training and fighting demons, I'm sure you have a unique talent of your own." Kazumi simply replied opening the basket.
"You seem to be tired so, why not give it a rest for a while?"
Genya looked at her with a puzzled look, he then saw her hand reaching out an ohagi to him. He walked closer and looked at it.
"Are you giving that to me?" Genya asked pointing at the ohagi.
Kazumi simply gave him a closed eye smile before nodding. Genya wanted to resist but he felt hungry seeing the food since he has been training nonstop since morning. He accepted it and sat down a bit away from her.
"Can I ask?"
"What?!"
"What's your name?"
".... Genya.... Shinazugawa Genya."
'Ah, I see! So he is Shina-san's younger brother. They're really alike.'
Kazumi thought.
"Where did you get this ohagi?" Genya asked looking at the food.
"I made them! If you still want more just get some in the basket." Kazumi answered pushing the basket closer to Genya.
"Seriously?!" Genya eyes widen.
He opened the basket and got another one and ate it.
"This is delicious, I think I could just eat them all!" Genya commented taking out his third one.
"I see, I'll try bringing some again here next time."
Genya just nodded as he kept on stuffing ohagis in his mouth. After eating at least ten ohagis, he started training again. And Kazumi just kept on watching him.
Several days have passed and Kazumi would visit there at least twice a week carrying a basket of ohagis with her everytime. And Genya slowly showed his soft side and talked with her more whenever she visits.
"So.... what kind of breathing do you use Kazu?" Genya asked while chewing his food.
"Well.... I call it Frost Breathing!" Kazumi answered with a bright smile who looked so proud at her breathing.
'So he's got a childish side huh.'
Genya thought.
He stayed silent until he get to realize something.
"Kazu, do you know anyone with.... the same breathing as you?"
"Nope!"
'No it can't be! He can't be the new Pillar Himejima-san talked about! I know all Pillars have gold buttons on their uniform instead of silver, he's wearing a silver button.'
Genya thought already looking confused.
"I'm glad you're friends with the young Shinazugawa here Kazumi-chan."
The two looked back to see Gyomei standing there walking closer to them.
"Me too Gyomei-san! He looked like an angry puppy on the outside but he's actually soft inside!" Kazumi said.
"What?! I-I'm not a puppy!" Genya retorted almost choking himself.
"There there Genya-kun." Kazumi patted his back.
"You shouldn't be talking when your mouth is full."
"Yes, he's a nice kid." Himejima replied.
"Gyomei-san, want some ohagi?" Kazumi offered reaching her hand out with an ohagi like a child.
"I'll be glad to."
Himejima accepted it and ate with them. Soon, Genya started the conversation.
"Hey Kazu! Have you heard of the new Pillar?"
"New Pillar?"
"Yes, Himejima-san said the new Pillar is called as a Frost Pillar. You've got the same breathing so I thought you might be a tsuguko. Right Himejima-san?" Genya turned to look at Gyomei sitting between them.
"I see. You didn't told him Kazumi-chan?"
"Nope!"
"Genya-kun, this is her, the Frost Pillar. Kazumi here is the Pillar I was talking about." Gyomei said putting a hand on Kazumi's head.
"Wait what?! Pi-Pillar?! She?!" Genya almost dropped the ohagi he's holding and now has a confused look on his face.
"All this time you're a Pillar and a girl?!"
"Yes!"
"Then why didn't you tell me?!"
"You didn't ask anything Genya-kun."
Genya facepalmed his self and and sighed before munching on his ohagi.
"All this time.... all this time I've been casually talking to a higher up.... all this time I've been spending my time with a girl." Genya mumbled while eating his food.
"It's alright Genya-kun! We're friends so it's fine!" Kazumi cheered.
"Then why do you have silver buttons instead of gold ones?! You're a Pillar!"
"I don't like to since it'll be a waste of uniform. So I told Oyakata-sama and the kakushis to just let me wear silver ones."
"That's a wonderful thinking Kazumi-chan but, aren't you going to change your mind?" Gyomei asked.
"No, unless if the day comes my uniform got torn apart by a demon. Maybe then I could let them give me a uniform with gold buttons." Kazumi plainly answered.
"But I could still tell them to just give me a ready made silver button uniforms since I heard they got a lot of stock!"
Her answer made the two sweatdropped.
'Anyone would be very happy to be placed on the position of a Pillar and yet she just seemed not to have that kind of excitement.'
Genya thought.

In the end of the day, they all enjoyed playing with each other. Kazumi made some ohagis for the two of them to eat on the road. They gladly thanked her.
"I'll make sure next time you won't find me first in hide and seek!" Shizuko said balling his hand into a fist.
"Oh yeah?! Then you better prove it!" Sanemi replied.
"You'll visit here again right, Genya-san?" Mitsuki asked.
"Of course!" Genya gave Mitsuki a head pat.
After that, they all waved them farewell and goodluck.
