Mei was at Jaeden's birthday party. She wore
She sat down on the couch in between Wyatt and Jack. She had a red solo cup with Dr. Pepper in it. "So, what happened between, you and Jaeden?" Jack asked while he put on multiple party hats
"Nothing?" Mei looked at Jack with a confused look on her face
"Really? I thought you two had something, broke it off, and then he started dating Lilia," Jack said. He faced Mei and Wyatt. "How do I look?" He asked
"Like you took too many drugs," Wyatt said
Just then, Lilia came over to the trio. "Hey, guys!" She greeted them with a smile
"Hi Lilia," Jack and Wyatt simultaneously say
Mei looked up at Lilia. "Hey," She mumbled. She thought, 'Of course Jaeden was so happy to tell me he's dating her. She looks pretty and talented!'
"Oh, you must be Mei! Jaeden told me about you! You're so pretty!" Lilia gushed
"T- thank you," Mei stuttered. "What exactly did Jaeden tell you about me?"
"He said he met you in Canada when you walked in on a scene in IT. I saw your Instagram page and, this is kinda embarrassing, could you tell me where you get your cottagecore dresses?" Lilia asked
"Oh, uh, I get them online, from vintage shops, and my cousin makes them," Mei took a sip of her drink
"Thank you! Oh yeah, Wyatt, Jaeden wants to talk to you," Lilia said
"Alright," Wyatt got off of the couch and left with Lilia
TIME SKIP
7:00 pm
Everyone sang happy birthday to Jaeden and they cut the cake. Jaeden, Jack, Wyatt, and Mei walked to the backyard. Jack and Jaeden sat down on a swinging chair while Mei and Wyatt stood up. All of them eating a slice of cake
Mei looked at her phone and saw the time. "I have to go soon," Mei pocketed her phone and ate some more of her slice of cake
"Did your parents give you a curfew?" Wyatt jokingly asks
"No, I gotta pack for my flight tomorrow," Mei took another bite of the cake
"Flight?" Jack asks
Mei raised a finger that basically meant, 'One moment, please,' She cleared her throat. "I'm going to Toronto tomorrow. To be with Aidan before school starts for me again," She said
Jaeden stayed silent for a moment. "Do you want me to open your present right now?" He asked
"Sure," Mei nodded. She finished her slice of cake and threw away the paper plate and fork. She texted her parent's assistant to pick her up before she pocked her phone again. She walked over to the present table with Jaeden
Jaeden grabbed a gift box that had a tag on it that said it was from Mei. He removed the top of the box and looked inside. He pulled out a black bomber jacket with patched on it. One of the patches said, 'Korean Pride' in bold white letters with a black outline. He sat down the box on the table and tried it on. It fit perfectly. "This is a perfect fit!" He told Mei with a smile on his face
"Yeah, your mom told me your size," Mei said with a small laugh. "There's more in there,"
Jaeden picked up the box again and saw a black beanie. At the bottom of the beanie, his initials were embroidered on with a heart in white thread. He picked up the beanie and a letter fell out of it. He set down the box, put on the beanie, and opened the letter

Jaeden laughed at the letter. He placed it back into the box on the table. He gave Mei a big hug
Mei hugged back. She cherished the moment before pulling away. "I gotta go now. I'll see you later," She said. She gave him a two-finger salute before walking out the door

January 5 2018
12:00 pm
"And, this," Aidan said as he opened the door to his bedroom in the hotel room. "Is my room. You know you could share the bed with me. You don't have to take the couch," He said. He had an entire hotel room to himself and it was fairly large
"Hmm, maybe," Mei teased him. She crossed her arms and gave him a smirk. "It depends, can you keep your hands to yourself?" She faced him and had a serious look on her face
"Hey! This is the first time I'm seeing you since we started dating. I'm love deprived," Aidan whined. He wrapped his arms around Mei's waist
"I know you are, but you still need to keep your hands to yourself when I don't want you to have your hands on me. Okay? You need to respect my space," Mei raised an eyebrow at Aidan
"Yeah, I get it," Aidan stepped away from Mei. "Can I hug you now?" He asked
Mei nodded. She opened her arms out to hug him. "I missed you loads," She confessed
Aidan hugged her tight. "I missed you more," He whispered. "Are you hungry?" He asked her
Mei nodded. "I didn't eat all day," She sighed
"Let's go get food then," Aidan suggested. "I found a great vegan place not too far away,"
"Alright," Mei said. She kissed his jawline and pulled from the hug
TIME SKIP
2:00 am
Mei decided to sleep on the couch that night and Aidan slept in his room
Mei started to dream. . .
Mei arrived at a mysterious house. It was large and modern-looking. She knocked at the door and Jaeden opened it
"Jaeden!" Mei cheerfully said. She opened her arms for a hug
Jaeden rolled his eyes. "Guys, who invited her?" He said to the people inside the house
Inside was the IT cast, her friends, and Lilia, all sitting on a long couch
They all shook their heads simultaneously
"Why would anyone invite her? She's so annoying," Gene said
"She's way too clingy," Sophie commented
"She makes me wanna barf," Camilia spat
"She's really ugly," Lexi said
Mei's eyes widened in shock. "What? I don't understand,"
"She always has to be in the spotlight," Luke said
"She probably ran into the IT set on purpose," Jack added
"She thinks she's all that," Seamus said
"She makes me wish I didn't transfer back," Alya said
"She wants to steal my man," Lilia spat
Suddenly, they all got up from their seats. "We hate you, Mei. We never liked you. We only pitied you. We think you should die. Kill yourself, Mei. You know you want to. Do it. NOW," They screeched
The world faded into darkness. But the voices remained. "Do it. Do it," They all chanted. Their voices echoed in her head
Mei walked a few feet forward and stood on a stool. A rope hung down. She wrapped it around her neck
And she kicked the stool
Mei sat up in a cold sweat. Tears pricked her eyes. She immediately got up from the couch and searched through her bag for her medication. She grabs her anxiety medication and grips them tight. She rushes to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Her eyes were red from crying
She blinks and in the mirror, she sees her friends, an evil smirk on all of their faces. Their eyes gouged out, with blood dripping from where they once were. She could still hear them chanting, "Do it. Do it,"
Mei gasps. She turns around to see no one there. She leans back onto the bathroom counter. She slides down the side of it and sits on the floor. The pill bottle, still closed, falling to the floor with her. She covers her mouth and brings her knees to her chest. Tears fall down her cheeks, staining her shirt and pajama pants
Aidan woke up when he heard the footsteps and a door opening. He wiped his eyes and got out of bed. He walked out of his room. "Hello? Mei?" He saw the door to the bathroom wide open. He looked through the entrance of the room and saw Mei on the floor. He immediately went on his knees and put his hands on her shoulders. "Mei, are you okay?" He asked
Mei shook her head. She continued to cry
Aidan picked up Mei's pill bottle. "Shit. Let's go to my room. Then I'll get you a cup of water, okay?" He asked. He stood up and held out a hand to help Mei up
Mei nodded. She held Aidan's hand and stood up. She was ushered into Aidan's room. She sat down on his bed
Aidan left the room and came back with a glass of water. He handed it to Mei. He sat down on the bed next to Mei. "So, what happened?" He asked her
Mei took a pill and swallowed it, chasing it with water. She set the glass down on the bedside table. "Nightmare," She said. "A horrible, horrible nightmare. All my friends hated me and they told me to die. . ." She cried
Aidan frowned when he heard what she said. He wrapped his arm around Mei's shoulder. He brought her close to him. "It's alright, they don't hate you. It was just a nightmare. Your friends love you and most importantly, I love you,"
Mei looked at Aidan with a soft, sad expression. "Promise?" She asked. She held out her pinky. The tears had stopped flowing, all that remained of them were tiny little wet spots on her clothes and the stains they left behind on her cheeks
Aidan chuckled. He wrapped his pinky around hers and softly kissed her on the lips. "Promise," He whispered when he pulled away. "Let's go to sleep alright. You can sleep in my bed. I'll take the couch," He stood up from the bed
Mei shook her head. "Please don't go," She said in a quiet voice. When he stood up from the bed, she started to shake, like someone going through withdrawal
Aidan turned and looked at her. He placed his hand on her head and kissed her forehead. "Alright, I'll stay," He then walked to the other side of the bed and got in
Mei smiled softly when his lips touched her forehead. "Thank you," She whispered. She rubbed her eyes, then got into the bed on the side she was on
The two of them faced each other while lying down
"I love you. Okay?" Aidan whispered
"I love you too," Mei smiled

January 6, 2018
11:00 am
Mei woke up in the morning to an empty bed. She sat up and stretched. She got out of bed and went to the bathroom. She washed her face and started brushing her teeth. She put her hair up in a ponytail. She finished brushing her teeth and washed her mouth. She put away her toothbrush and walked out of the bathroom
She walked back to the coffee table in front of the TV and picked up her glasses. She put them on and looked around the room. The first thing she spotted was Aidan in the hotel room kitchen on his phone, dressed for the day and in front of a stack of pancakes. She then began to pick up the smell of pancakes. She walked up to Aidan. "Good morning," She yawned
Aidan looked up from his to see Mei. "Morning," He said. He placed a small and quick kiss on her cheek. "I got someone to pick up this vegan pancake mix. I made some for us," He placed two of the pancakes on another plate and pushed it towards Mei along with a fork
Mei gave him a small smile. "Thank you," She kissed his cheek and started to eat the pancakes. Her phone buzzed. She picked it up and read the notification

Mei let out a soft laugh before setting down her phone
"What happened?" Aidan asked. He looked over at Mei
"My friends are, well, crazy," Mei let out another short laugh. "And they're so annoying sometimes," She finished her pancakes. "The pancakes were great, by the way. Thank you," She said. She placed her hand on his hand on the counter. She stared lovingly into his green eyes
Aidan used his other hand to brush some of her hair out of her face. "You're wearing your glasses," He muttered. "I always liked you in glasses. You look adorable in them," He caressed her face. "How are you feeling from last night?" He asked
"Better. I should be fine," Mei sighed. "Thank you for being there for me," She pecked his lips quickly
"No problem. Anything for my girl," Aidan whispered. "I'd love to tell you more about how much I love you, but I need to get to a table-read. There are snacks in the kitchen and a spare key on the bedside table. I'll be back by 3,"
"That's a lot of hours" Mei whined. She was a little upset that he'd be gone for so long, but she understood
"I'm sorry. If I can get back earlier, I will," Aidan reassured her. "Text me if anything happens,"
Mei wrapped her arms around Aidan's waist. "Okay. . . I'll see you later," She said as she looked up at him
Aidan hugged her back. He placed many kisses all on her face before placing a final kiss on her neck. He rested his chin on her shoulder
Mei's pale face was overtaken by a red blush. "That's. . . enough of that," She put her hands on his chest and put a small amount of distance between them. "There is a time and place for that and it is not here or now. Check back in a few months,"
"Sorry baby," Aidan said. "I couldn't help myself," He pulled away from the hug. "I gotta go now. Also, I was thinking about making pasta for dinner. How does that sound?"
"Amazing," Mei smiled. "I'll see you later," She kissed his cheek and watched him walk out the door. "Now that he's gone I can do important things," She mumbled to herself. She walked back into the bedroom, closed the door, and took a nap

Mei woke up from her nap and immediately checked her phone

Mei got out of bed and walked to the living room. She sat down on the couch and just stared into the TV screen. She spaced out for a few minutes
When she came back to reality, she looked at her phone. She went on Instagram and went live. People started to join. Even though she had fame by being the daughter of famous actors and being friends with famous actors, she actually started to gain a bigger following by posting videos of her singing and some photography
"Hi, I'm live because I'm bored and I'm in a hotel room," Mei greeted the people joining. "Someone please suggest something for me to do or ask me questions," She smiled

"Hey, Jaeden!" Mei smiled. It soon fell when her nightmare from the night before flooded back into her mind. She stared at the home button of her home. After a few seconds, her phone fell to the ground and a tear slipped from her eye
Mei scrambled to pick up her phone. "I'm sorry guy, I have to end the live," She said. Her heart was racing and her palms started to get sweaty. "I'm fine. I just, need to go," She ended the live. She set down her phone and ran to her backpack. She got her medication and a glass of water
She took her medication and chased it with water. She set the cup on the coffee table. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She thought happy thoughts to calm herself down. She sat down on the couch, still thinking of happy thoughts
The sound of a door opening and closing made her open her eyes and look in the direction of the door
"Mei! I'm back!" Aidan called out. He took off his coat and set down his things. He looked over at the couch and saw Mei sitting there. "Did you miss me?" He asked. He sat down beside her
Mei nodded. She gave him a small, weak smile before looked down at her lap. She didn't make any noise. She was still thinking of what just happened just before he got back
"You okay?" Aidan asked. He placed a hand on her knee
Mei sighed. "I just remembered what happened last night. l almost had a panic attack. But I'm okay now. I'm still a little shaken from it," She confessed
Aidan wrapped his arms around Mei. "I have something that might make you feel better," He said. He got up and walked over to the stuff he placed down. He came back with a lacy parasol. "I passed by a store and saw it. I knew you'd been thinking of getting one of these,"
Mei held it in her hands. "Oh my god," Mei admired the detail. "It's wonderful. Thank you, darling," She kissed his cheek
"It's still bright outside. If you want, I could take pictures of you with it. The rose garden here is supposed to be amazing around this time of year," Aidan suggested
"That'd be amazing," Mei smiled
The two of them stood up. Mei changed into a dress
Aidan got his camera and his tripod. Once Mei was done changing, the two of them walked hand in hand down to the rose garden at the hotel. Once there, Aidan started to take pictures of Mei with the parasol
In the last two photos, Aidan set up the camera with a remote so he could take the picture from far away. In one photo, he held the parasol and put his other arm around Mei's waist. They smiled at each other. In the last photo, he kissed Mei and covered themselves with the parasol
"Maybe I am over Jaeden," Mei thought as she pulled away from the kiss
