I stomp upstairs and go to my room, slamming and locking my bedroom door behind me.
I walk into the adjoined bathroom and take a quick shower, shaving my legs.
Once I get out, I wrap a towel around my waist and went back into my bedroom. I walk to my closest and step inside, making sure to close it all the way incase someone does unlock my bedroom door.
I walk over to the mirror and let my towel fall.
Why does Zack keep lying to me? Telling me I'm beautiful? I'm far from it. I'm so skinny you can see my ribs, even though I eat like a freaking pig. I have freckles scattered on my face- not enough so it looks like that's all my face is, but enough that it's noticeable. Why does you think so highly of me? He only met me yesterday? Could he have fallen that hard for me already? I doubt it.
"Skylar!" I heard screeching and banging from the outside of my bedroom door. "Did you die, yet?"
"I'm fine, Ashley! I took a shower." I put the towel back around me and walk out to my bedroom door. I pull Ash in quickly before shutting and locking the door again.
"What the hell was that?" she asks sternly.
I walk back over to my closet and ignore her. I close the door and slip on my underclothes and my "I love you all the way to Paris" pajamas.
When I walk out she's laying on my bed and looking up at the ceiling. I walk over and sit down on my bed. I grab my gray house slippers and slip them off before standing up again.
I'm about to head to back to the basement when I feel Ashley's hand wrap around my wrist and pull me back to the bed.
"What the hell was that?" she asks again.
"What was what?" I ask, pretending to not know what she's talking.
"What was that?!" she exclaims. "Randy takes me upstairs because he said that Zack wanted to talk to you. When we come back your on top of him!"
I blush and look at the my feet.
"Sky. What happened?" And so I tell her.
"What?" she asks, not quite knowing what to say. She looks me in the eyes and says, "Do you like him?"
I blush and look away, "Honestly, I don't know. He's so sweet and kind. He's a good kisser, too. But...we only meet yesterday. I'm scared that we're moving too fast. I'm scared that something will happen. I don't want to get so close to him so quickly just to get my heart broken." I sulk, "Besides, he probably doesn't even like me anyways."
"He does like you, Skylar. Can't you tell?" she gasps.
"I've never had a boyfriend before. You know that. You're better at this stuff then I am. You're pretty and cute and funny. And I'm over here just like, "Why can't a be like her?" I've tried and tried to get people to like me. But it never works. I'm not pretty or cute. I can be funny when the right moment comes, but it's not very often. Why can't this be easier, Ash?" I rant.
"First of all," she says sternly, "don't ever say you aren't pretty or cute because or fucking beautiful. Second of all, it's never easy."
I sigh and nod my head, "Read to go back?"
"One sec. I gotta put my pjs on. Nice, by the way," she looks at my pjs and winks.
I roll my eyes and wait for her to change into her Minion pjs.
Once she's changed we go and grab 2 tubs of cookies and cream and chocolate ice cream from the fridge. We grab 4 spoons and the whip cream before heading down to the basement.
The rest of the night is spent laughing, playing board games, eating ice cream, and pillow fights.
