Camila's POV

- One of the great things about having Sofi in California is that I could go out with her and it made me feel less alone. Besides, she could talk to her about whatever she wanted at any time of the day. On Saturday I could already smell summer, I could see how the street was full of people, and Santa Monica was no exception. It was all full of people, muscular guys and people on roller skates that made their way down the beach from Malibu to the pier.

- Sofi and I had gone out for a run that morning, shorts, tank top and those sports shoes accompanied us under the palm trees of Santa Monica.

- "So... Are you going to continue with your major?" I said with a shaky breath, listening to Sofi by my side as we ran looking ahead.

- "Yes, I don't want to continue doing something that I don't like." Her breathing was somewhat altered and turned her head to look at me.

- "What are you going to do?" We kept running , moving my arms to the rhythm that my legs ran.

- "Medicine." Sofi answered. I stopped in my tracks and opened my eyes, breathing even harder.

- "What !?" I said with my hands on my waist, starting to smile. Sofi turned to look at me and nodded, approaching me.

- "I like it and I want to be as good as you at helping people." She sighed and we hugged in the middle of everyone, with people on skates and bikes but no one seemed to care.

- "You're going to be even better than me, honey." I gave her a kiss on her cheek and broke away with a smile, running with her again.

- I had never thought that Sofi was going to do medicine, but the truth is that I was excited to have inspired my sister in that way.

- "How's it going with Lauren?" She asked with heavy breathing. I smiled when I heard the question and I shrugged in response, although she looked at me again raising her eyebrows waiting for an answer.

- "The other day she brought me lunch to the hospital." I smiled as I ran looking straight ahead, and I could see how Sofi raised her eyebrows again. "It's like, I don't know."

- "I do know, it's like Christian Gray and you are his Anastasia." I frowned in denial and laughed, without slowing down.

- "She's not like Christian Gray." I said laughing. "Oh, come on, Mila." She sighed in denial. "She's extremely polite. She owns a hotel chain, she has that look that doesn't leave you until you tell her what you want and she's also good in bed."

- "That doesn't mean anything." She said denying me, running a little faster.

- "Hey! I'm just telling you it's like... A gentlewoman?" I said and she laughed when I she heard me.

- "Ok fine I believe you." She said and I felt like running a little faster trying to control my breathing to keep pace.

- "Have you seen the movie, Mila? He is..." I was breathing hard and taking a deep breath as we ran. "Attentive, polite, somewhat distant but with her he is charming without losing that cold point." The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Yes, Lauren was like that. But this was not just a movie, this was real life.

- I felt a brush on my arm and I turned my head watching Lauren pass me with the helmets on as I ran. She turned her head a little and saw me, but she looked forward again to react again and stop in her tracks taking off Helmets.

- "Camila?" She was breathing hard. She was wearing a loose white T-shirt and black athletic shorts. Sweat ran down her neck, which could be seen by her wearing her hair up, and her chest rose and fell. Just like ours, I smiled the instant she said my name.

- "What are you doing here?" I ran towards her and put my hands on her hips, standing on my tiptoes to give her a soft kiss, which she responded with her hands on my cheeks.

- "You look really hot when your all sweaty." She said, and I responded with a small laugh. Lauren looked up at my sister and approached her holding out her hand.

- "Honey, she's not a customer." I put my hand on her arm and Sofi went over to give her the tightest hug, which caused some laughter.

- "Sorry, I'm used to being so formal with people." She apologized with a half smile, carefully removing herself from Sofi. "Don't worry about it, I have to get going anyway." Said Sofi with a smile.

- "You really don't want to stay? I was going to invite you both for lunch." Lauren said with a frown, putting a hand on my back while Sofi denied.

- "No thank you, I have a meeting with Stephen for lunch. Thanks anyway, Lauren." She thanked her approaching me to kiss my cheek.

- "Be careful, okay." I said while hugging her goodbye.

- "Okay, mom." She mocked me giving me a kiss on the head, feeling her arms tighten around my body. After that warm hug I released her, seeing how Lauren was next to me with her hands behind her back, smiling. "Take care of her." She pointed at Lauren with a smile and she gave her a kiss on the cheek. "And thanks again for the offer."

- "Have a good time, Sofi." Lauren said watching my little sister walk away until she got to the car, and I looked at Lauren again. "What I meant is, what are you doing in Santa Monica?" I wrapped my arms around her neck and tilted my head, giving her soft kisses on her lips that she was responding and her hands rested on my hips.

- "I told you they are not all reserved places and luxury parties." She whispered raising an eyebrow, merging into another kiss that was softer and slower. Lauren separated from me and gave me a small kiss on the nose, making me close my eyes. "Come on, I'll buy you lunch."

- At that moment, Lauren started walking and reached out to me with an open hand, waiting for me to take it. Those small gestures began to consecrate our relationship, which was going quite slowly, in small steps.

- I took her hand and laced my fingers with Lauren's, walking beside her and putting a hand on her arm.

- "How did you do this week?" Lauren asked, stroking my fingers with hers slowly as we walked.

- "Oh, great. Do you remember the day Scott the male nurse called me and we were... Busy." I blushed as I said that, and Lauren laughed.

- "How could I forget."

- "He called me because one of my patients who was about to die, woke up. Isn't that incredible?" I bit my lip and Lauren smiled lowering her head.

- "You have a gift." She turned her head towards me, before opening the door of the restaurant named Lemonade."

- "I have no gift... I didn't treat her the way I treated you." I answered releasing her hand to sit in front of her at the table.

- "That doesn't matter, being close to you always makes me feel better and you make others feel better." I was silent for a moment, not quite sure what to say. I leaned forward a little and put my hand on her cheek, slowly kissing Lauren, parting my lips, and ended it with little kisses on her lips.

- We ordered lunch and in no time it came. A chicken wrap and pasta salad, and two sandwiches.

- Lauren told me how she had spent the last days in great detail, because almost neither of us had time to dwell on our work conversations.

- "I should take you with me tonight." I told her eating a little more of the sandwich, sucking on the finger that had stained sour cream.

- "Where?" Lauren frowned, finishing the sandwich and drinking from her cup of lemonade.

- "To a bar that isn't exclusive and crazy expensive like your taste."

Camila's POV

- I grabbed my bag quickly, because Lauren had just rang the bell. Tight jeans, a black crop top and heels of the same color accompanied the loose hair that night. Lauren was leaning over the door once I opened it, walking in with a smile. She was wearing a leather jacket, a white T-shirt, and black jeans.

- "You and that leather jacket should be illegal." I said, taking her by the collar of the jacket to bring her closer to me and give her a kiss, noticing her hand on the exposed skin between the crop top and the jeans.

- "If you start talking like this we won't make it to the bar." We both laughed as we made our way to her car, once we entered her car, she pulled off and started to drive.

- Lauren driving was something too attractive. She was serious concentrating on the road, one hand on the gear stick and the other on the steering wheel. Staring at me occasionally with a smile. My hand was on her thigh and I looked ahead, indicating where she had to go until we found the place.

- It was small, between the streets of Los Angeles but, it always tasted great. We got out of the car and this once I was the one who took Lauren by the hand, entering that small bar that served thousands of hamburgers.

- Once we arrived to the table I asked the bartender for. "Two Beef burgers with chili please." Watching how Lauren looked around observing the people around her.

- "Wow this place is very retro I love it." She said, drinking the beer that had been put in front of her.

- The moment the waiter placed our food on the table Lauren looked at me with wide eyes.

- "What is this?" I couldn't help but give a little laugh.

- "I said that the first time too." I said, It didn't look very good. It was a thick, brown gravy with bits that were beans and meat, but it was worth a try. Lauren took it carefully and took a good bite, frowning as looked at me. She liked it because she bit the burger one more time. "Do you like it?" She nodded with her mouth full and stained with sauce. I took a napkin and reached out to wipe it, although it was of little use because when she took her third bite her face was stained again.

- And so we had dinner. Lauren told me how she was also from Miami, that she had two brothers and liked to play softball. Bite after bite, our beers and burger dwindled until only empty bottles and stained napkins remained. on the table.

- "That was delicious." She said with a smile

- "I'm glad you liked it." I said tossing my hair to the side. Lauren picked up a marker that was on the table and looked at the wall for a moment. She removed the holder that was attached to it and found a free space, looking at me

- "What do you want me to put." I bit my lip gently and shrugged.

- "I don't know, whatever you want." I said

- Lauren turned around and started writing on the wall, but I couldn't see it because her hand was on top. When she finished, she looked at me and put the marker on the table.

- "Heaven is a place on earth with you, C" - L J.

- We didn't say anything, we just got up and her arm went around my shoulder, thus staying close to her. My arm went around her waist carefully and Lauren looked at me with a suggestive smile, which made us kiss again slowly. Her lips had been glued to mine in a rather slow and soft kiss, from which we parted only when we reached the entrance of the club she wanted to get to that was in front of the restaurant. The music was loud and Lauren seemed a bit out of place, she didn't use to go around there much, but it seemed kind of adorable to me.

- We went to the bar and I saw that Lauren was still wearing her jacket, so, sitting on a stool And a little taller than her, who was standing, I took off her jacket putting my hand around her shoulders and I watched how that white T-shirt adjusted to her body. She tied her hair up in a ponytail, like me and took the glass that had been served

- "What is it?" I denied her question because I was not going to tell her and I clinked my glass against hers. We had the first drink at the same time and Lauren licked her lips at me. "Wow, it's very good. I don't usually drink this much." She said looking at her glass, taking another sip.

- "Let's go dance." I said interlacing my hand with Lauren. She let go of my hand and I looked at her confused

- "I can't dance." She said shyly

- "Come on I'll teach you, I'm not taking no for an answer." I interlaced our hands again and led her to the dance floor.

- Once we reached the dance floor we started dancing.

- I let her get used to it and then used our interlaced hand to wheel her around so I was facing her back now; inching closer until I felt her hips on mine. She gasped while my other hand placed itself on her side. I softly began pressing and rolling my hips against her shapely backside, instructing her with my hand on her side to follow my rhythm.

- I felt her getting very dizzy from all the drinks she had so I turned her around and let her lay on me.

- "It's time to go home, Lauren." I said grabbing her around the waist as she leaned against me and carried the jacket in her hand with her head on my neck. I was trying to hold her but Lauren weighed a lot for my strength, so we stumbled for half an hour until we reached my apartment.

- I laid her on the bed while she was looking at everything with a frown, and I tried to take off her pants.

- "Camz..." She called me, grabbing my arm.

- "Tell me, honey." I said pulling off her pants which was very difficult, because she was fidgeting in the bed to roll over and lay face down on the mattress.

- "Let's make love." She whispered in a low and seductive voice, her words trailing. I lifted my head when I finally managed to remove her pants. I denied with a soft laugh.

- "No baby, today there is no sex. You need to sleep." She whined and while I took off my pants and heels she tried to get up, failing in the attempt. "Eh, eh..." I knocked her down. again and I sat next to her on the edge of the bed, watching her struggle. She groaned and I managed to make her look at me so that she was a little more centered, giving her a soft kiss on the lips. "I love you." She said my heart skipped a beat and started pounding so hard I thought Lauren was going to feel it against her chest, but she had fallen asleep. "I love you too." I murmured, parting a bit, noticing  how Lauren was barely aware of what she had just said.

- I laid down next to her and gently caressed her cheek for a moment, until I too fell asleep.

Lauren's POV

- A smell of soup reached my nose and I slowly opened my eyes. Camila was sitting next to me on the bed with a book on her lap. On the other side, a bowl of steaming soup with croutons awaited me.

- Camila's hair was loose, still straight from the night before, leaving her neck free and in her pajamas.

- "Good morning." She said in a soft, rather pleasant voice.

- "What are you reading?" I frowned a little as my voice was hoarse than normal.

- If I decide to stay Camila, simply relaxed, feeling the brunette being there with me.

- After a while, I got up from the bed and just when I was going to leave the room, I heard Camila's voice.

- "Do you remember anything from last night?" I turned when I heard her and slowly shook my head.

- "Just you taking off my pants, I think." I frowned and laughed, leaving the room. It was a pretty cozy apartment, big for what it was an apartment.

- Just as I walked down the hall to the bathroom, Sofi was at the end of it. We stared at each other.

- "Uh hey, I didn't know you were here." I didn't know what to do so I decided to turn around.

- "No, it doesn't matter Lauren." She said with a smile as she turned me around, although she pointed at my legs. "Don't you have pajamas?"

- "Uh... We didn't do anything." I said nervously

- "Lauren, relax." She said with a laugh, passing by me. "Next time ask Mila for pajamas."

- As I entered the bathroom, I splashed some water on my face to clear myself, and Camila appeared through the door.

- "If you don't mind." She pointed to the sink and stood in front of me, pulling her hair into a ponytail. She looked at me through the mirror and stuck her tongue out at me, as my hands encircled her waist and I rested my chin on her shoulder. I started sucking and leaving wet kisses on her neck, when Sofi cleared her throat.

- "Your house is much better." She narrowed her eyes, breaking into laughter. I looked at her for a moment while we were silent, stopping to look at her lips and then her eyes.

- "What?" She asked in a whisper biting her lip, looking at me somewhat shyly.

- I love you.
