I moan as I feel the heat and light in my face. Iniharang ko ang kanan kong kamay sa mata at sinubukang matulog muli pero may amoy na nagpapagising saakin. But I never open my eyes, it feel puffy that I want to keep it close in a long time.
Huminga ako ng malalim at nang pumasok muli ang amoy sa ilong ko agad akong napaupo. It's making me salivate. Amoy palang masarap na, paano pa kaya pagkinain na.
I hummed as I stretched my arms and ooen my eyes. "Eh?" I murmur.
Ipinalibot ko ang tingin ko. Hindi ko ito kwarto. This room consist of black and white in furniture. The bed's color is gray. A set of couch and a Tv on my left side, a veranda on the left side and two doors in front of this bed.
How did I get in here? Sa pagkakaalala ko nasa theater room ako kagabi. Maybe he carried me to this room or I sleep walk. Dunno.
"This is bigger than my rooom." Mahinang usal ko. I look at my surroundings with amazement. It's really cool and beautiful.
Bumaba ang tingin sa kumot. Hinakot ko ito at inilapit sa ilong ko. A manly scent reached my nose, it smells good. I curled my toes and smelled the sheet more as I put my head on my toes.
Nanatiling ganun ang posisyon ko hanggang sa nakarinig ako ng ingay sa veranda. That veranda was the reason I woke up. The curtain were wide open and a ray of sunlight was coming through it.
Habang patagal ng patagal, I came to realize that maybe this is Rio's room. I only came her once when Naia was here and it's not a good memory. I sighed.
I sighed once more when I remeber the dream, it's not that clear but I feel sad and anxious. The argument with Rio was also yesterday. The garden talk.
Marahang hinawakan hinawakan ang tiyan at hinimas iyon bago dumapo ang tingin sa veranda. What's the dream about again? All I can remember was a child with a teddy bear in hand. I can't remember anything but that. What was that supposed to mean?
"Paano ko ba gagawin to? But first I need to eat." I said to myself as I crawled out of the bed. May nakita akong puting tsinelas sa kaliwang bahagi ng kama at isinuot iyon.
Muli kong narinig ang ingay sa veranda kung kaya't dahan -dahan akong naglaka papunta roon. A jasmine smell-like wind blows through my face. I inhale and give a little smile. It really calms me down.
Ipinalibot ko ang tingin rito. There I saw Rio busy making the table and fixing the food. He is wearing a black robe and a black sleepers. Hindi naman masyadong halata na paborito niya ang kulay black.
Nakatayo lang ako roon nang biglang umangat ang tingin nito saakin. Nang makita niya ako ay umayos ito ng tayo. I was expecting him to greet me but he didn't. Instead he just kept on staring at me, up and down. What a perv.
I stared back and raised an eye brow when his eyes met contact with mine. I think that' s what snapped him back. "You're awake." He said.
Hindi ko alam kung tatawa ako o maiinis sa sinabi nito. Seriously, he just stared at me for like 20 seconds.
"Obviously." Tumatangong sabi ko rito. Why am I brave today?
"Sit and eat. I prepared this for you." Sabi niya saka umupo na roon. There was a two chairs with a table in the middle.
Hindi ko tinanggihan ang alok nito kaya't naglakad na ako palapit rito. I sat down, stiff and anxious. He looks intimidating kahit na umiinom lang ito ng kape, nakapandekwatro at nagbabaso ng magazine.
"Eat. You won't get full even if you stare at me. Kumain ka ng totoong pagkain." He said.
"Ha? Ano ibig sabihin noon?" Balik na sagot ko rito. I didn't know what he was saying. But I can feel my face getting hot.
He again stare at me and raise a brow. "Hindi ko alam." Saka bumalik sa pagbabasa.
Napatunganga ako rito. What's that supposed to mean. Totoong pagkain? Bumaba ang tingin ko sa tuhod ko. Totoong pagkain. What-
"Eat." I gasped at what he said. "Yes." I replied.
I take a good look at the food in front of me. Actually, it's pretty heavy for a breakfast. A roasted chicken thigh, rice, salad and orange juice. Yes, I want rice in the morning but this is too much. Too many. But my eyes tummy keeps in growling as if saying eat them all up. Plus, it smells good.
I was about to take a bite when a shadow loomed over me. Umangat ang tingin ko, nakatayo si Rio sa harap at nakatingin saakin.
"Stand up." Mahinang sabi nito at hinawakan ang braso ko. I flinch at the contact making him let go of my arms.
"B-bakit?" I shakily said. The atmosphere suddenly changed.
"I won't do anything. I won't touch you. Just stand up." Sabi pa nitong muli.
Napalunok dahil sa kaseryosohan nito. His always has a serious look but sometimes its intense, sometime it just his normal face.
Tumayo ako at humarap rito. Waiting for him to do what he needs to do. He said he won't do something. Itinaas nito ang kamay dahilan para mapapikit ako.
I felt a soft touched in my back sliding through my shoulders. Napamulat ako at ang sumalubong saakin ang malapit na mukha ni Rio.
He looks busy tying the robe he made me wear. My heart keeps on beating fast. My face flustered at the scenario.
"Sorry. I brush my fingers slightly on you. It's cold out here so I thought you need a robe since you're wearing a silk sleeping dress." He said as he fix my robe. A white robe that matches this room so well.
"O-oh. I-i was wearing a s-sleeping dress. Hindi ko napansin." He hummed. He pulled the chair behind me, signaling me to take a sit. My heart is still racing though. Umupo ako roon at bumalik ang tingin sa pagkain. I think I lost my appetite.
"Continue eating. I have something to talk to you after you eat." Then he sat down and continue sipping his coffee while reading a magazine.
Talk to me? About what? Was it something serious? Was it about yesterday? I kept on thinking things but it all fade when I taste the food in my mouth. My face lit up as I ate it my food happily. It taste good, really really good that I forgot the I lost my appetite.
"You eat like a monster." I hear a murmur. Umangat ang tingin ko rito. I smiled even though my mouth was full.
"Sen shu!" (Thank you!) I said. He click his tongue at me but I saw his slight smile. "Don't talk while your mouth is full."
I giggled at him and continue to eat. Ignoring him and give a full attention to my food.
This is heaven.
LIAR. Nakasimangot aking nakaupo sa sala. Pagkatapo ng umagahan kanina ay bigla itong nagpaalam na aalis. He said it was urgent and needs to be taken care of immediately. Umalis ito ng walang narinig na paaalam saakin.
I didn't even say 'thank you' to him. He said 'we'll talk later' but I don't know if it will be later though.
Nakaupo ako sa sahig at nakapangalumbaba sa mesa habang nakatitig sa Tv. It's in disney cartoon channel. Hindi ko maintindihan ang pinapanood ko.
One more thing, he didn't say it was almost lunch when I ate. Maybe that's why he make the food heavy. The roasted chicken was tasty that I want to eat more.
Napabuntong hininga ako. Maybe, I should look around this house. Kwarto- kusina- sala- garden lang ang lagi kong puntahan rito. It's not a big house but it's not small either.
Tumayo ako at pinagpag ang suot na sweatpants. I'm currently wearing a sweatpants and a brallette. Masyading mainit para magsuot ng t-shirt. I felt gross and sweety whenever I move so much that why I choose to wear this. It's comfortable.
"Hehe." I laughed as I raised my hand. I don't know why I feel like this. I feel and happy and crazy at the same time.
Rio's house now was more open than It was before. Windows and garden are always open that's why its well lit when it daylight. Napansin ko rin na kapag wala si Rio dito, mas maraming katulong pero kaoag nandito siya, si Manang beth lang.
Ngayon marami sila but when I'm trying to approach them they will run away. I wan't to ask Manang Beth about Dandan pero masyadong itong busy sa bahay. I sigh. Now, I'm feeling depressed again. Weird.
Umakyat ako sa second floor at isa-isang binuksan ang pintuan sa kaliwang bahagi nito. Aside from my room and Rio's, there's two that I took a look. It's both color white theme. A simple one, a guest room.
"This is tiring but interesting." I said as I take the path of the right hallway.
Nagpalinga-linga lang ako dahil alan kong nakalock ang mga pinto sa bahaging ito. Sa pagkakaalal ko dito ang opisina ni Rio at ang library.
Nang marating ko ang dulo noon ay may isang pinto ang u agaw sa atensyon ko. The door rooms in this house is a wooden type (brown) pero ito lang ang iisang kwarto na kulay blue at may nakahang na small whiteboard.
"Huh?" Nilapitan ko ito tiningnan ng maigi. It's too child-like room to be a guest room. Maybe this is for visitor who has children. But he never have a visitor.
Ang batang bumisita lang rito ay si Naia. She slept in my room and Rio's never said that there's a guest room for children.
Hinawakan ko ang doorknob at dahan-dahang inikot. Nagulat ako ng bukas iyon. I smiled as I creep my way in.
Itinulak ko ang pinto dahilan para masilayan ko ang kabuuan ng kwartong iyon. I gasped. Nanlalaking humakbang ako palapit roon upang makita ng maayos.
"W-what?" I said as I put my hands in my mouth.
"What are you doing?" My hands tremble, my breath shake as I hear the voice behind me.
