Author's POV
She went stiff in his arms but he did not notice, his words rang in her ears loudly,
She would have been perfect right?
He looked at her finding no response from her and joked again,
"Bolo na Taani, Galati sudhar du, shall I bring kriya back?"
But she did not say anything and kept looking at him with an unreadable face, her heart clenched hearing his words, though she knew he was joking but even hearing from him that kriya would be more perfect for him than her pinched her heart.
Rey shook her in his arms when he still didn't get a response from her, she came out of her thoughts looking at him, without a word she removed his arms and started doing her work, he was confused with her reaction, he thought she would laugh along with him but she went unusually quite, so he asked her,
"What happened Taani?"
She looked at him and shook her head in denial with a small smile, not wanting to tell him about her insecurity,
"Nothing, it's too early, you can sleep for some more time."
He smiled taking her in his arms again and said teasingly,
"You come too, tabhi I will be able to sleep."
She shook her head in a no saying,
"Rey please aap so jaiye, mujhe bahot kaam hai."
Saying that she again removed his arms from around her with a little force making him frown, now he was sure something was wrong, she didn't even have her sargi so he said,
"Okayy, but at least have your sargi, fir tum pure din kuch nahi kha paogi."
"I am not hungry Rey."
She denied but he pressed on to the matter not wanting her to remain hungry for such a long time.
"Taani please eat something, fir raat tak nahi kha paogi."
She was frustrated so she said in a little loud voice,
"Rey I told you na I am not hungry, or vese bhi main pure din kuch khau ya na khau aapko kya faraq padta hai?"
He was hell confused and frustrated at her behaviour now, she was shouting unnecessarily in his opinion but he still said calmly,
"Taani what happened, is there a problem?"
She ignored his question raising his temper so he walked to her and caught her hand tightly turning her towards himself,
"I am asking you something dammit!"
She tried to wriggle her hand out from his embrace still not answering him, it surely made his temperament go haywire so he shouted,
"What's the problem?"
She jerked his hand and shouted aloud,
"I am the problem, for you, after all Galati kardi aapne mujhse shaadi karke, as you said kriya would have been a perfect partner for you right?"
Now he knew why she was so frustrated, he thought it was a little childish on her part as he was just joking, so he told her laughing slightly,
"Ohh to ye baat hai! Taani I was just joking and you know it."
He was going to hold her but she stepped back,
"Was it really just a joke? Yaa fir ab aap tang aa gaye hai mujhse and now you want your true love back?"
Rey prayed for some patience from God as she was really testing it right now, only he knew how he was stopping himself from snapping at her, because he did not want to fight with her, so he again tried to say a little calmly,
"Taani now your are being childish and difficult, tum befazool mein baat badha rahi ho. I said it was just a joke."
She narrowed her eyes ta him and snapped,
"Yeah right, I am childish and difficult, she is mature one, I am not a dancer like you but she is, tabhi she is perfect for you right? College mein bhi everyone thought I wasn't perfect for you and ab bhi I am sure if she was your wife everyone would have loved it. Even you would have loved it, agar mujhse dil bhar gaya hai Rey to please tell me, I will fucking leave you this .........."
The last thread of patience which he was holding tightly broke at her last words, and he shouted loudly kicking the side table,
"That's it. I can't take it anymore. I am tired of making you believe that I find you perfect for me. Kya kuch nahi kiya tumhe apne pyaar ka ehsaas dilnae ke liye, uss Galati ko sudhar ne ke liye. But you still hold on to it...." He went towards the coffee table and kicked it in rage making her shocked, before walking towards her and holding her close to himself through her arms,
"You know what, you are perfect for me. Do you get that? And I don't fucking care about what other people think and feel, I just know that I love you. Or agar mere itne baar apni feelings express karne ke baad bhi, agar tumhe mere pyaar par yakeen nahi hai, then it's not my fault. How could you Taani? Ye words tumhe yaad rahe....." He cupped her cheeks, pulling her closer, "But jo tumse main hamari shaadi ke pehle din se kehta aa raha hu, vo tumhe yaad nahi. Vo words kuch matter nahi karte? Just tell me one thing, if I didn't love you to vo honeymoon trip, vo sab jo kiya jo maine kabhi kisi or ke liye nahi kiya. It holds no importance?"
Tears were flowing from both of their eyes, she was sobbing hearing his words while he was sad that she still doesn't trust him and have so many insecurities. She tried to wipe his tears but he caught her hand in between,
"Or kya kaha tumne, you would leave me. Itna aasaan hai tumhare liye? After so many special days and moments we spent together. Taani you are my wife, I just said those words to tease you, itna bhi haq nahi hai kya mujhe? But it's sad to know ki tumhe aaj bhi lagta hai that you don't deserve me and honestly that hurts. Or mujhe nahi pata ki main or kya karu tumhe apne pyaar ka ehsaas dilane ke liye. Trust me, ab tumhe jo sochna hai socho because I am tired, I am tired of proving myself everytime, mujhse or nahi hoga."
Saying that he jerked her hand off from his grip, she was crying really hard now, realsing how much she has hurt him, she knew she was at fault, for a second she forget all that he has done for her till date. All those moments which he made so special for her. Their life was perfect and she ruined that happiness herself. He was just joking and she let her insecurities take over her that created chaos in her happy married life. She moved forward to hold him,
"Rey... I am sorry.."
But this time he moved back and it hurt her hard, now she knows how it feels when someone you love so much moves out of your hold, or backs away from your touch. He told her with pain in his voice,
"No Taani, this time I am sorry, that I couldn't make you believe in our love even after all we went through together."
That was the last thing he said before he moved out of the room leaving Taani alone, she feel on the bed crying hard over her fate, she hated herself for hurting him. She even forget about the sargi and was continuously crying.
Here Rey came in his study room angrily and shut the door hard. He wanted to be left alone for sometime. He was deeply hurt by her words and her insecurities. Tears were flowing from his eyes too and he did nothing to stop them. This was the first time they fought after their marriage and it was hurting them both a lot.

It was afternoon and all the ladies were sitting in the living room talking, but taani was quiet. The boys were busy in the preparations, though taarey were present in the same room they avoided each other, actually Rey avoided Taani and it was hurting her deeply. A day before they were literally laughing and romancing in front of the whole family but now both of them were extremely quiet.
Taani was trying to look for an opportunity to talk to him but he did not pay heed to her. They all were talking when Rey suddenly started coughing due to dry throat, Taani who was near him ran and patted his back.
He was continuously coughing and she asked him,
"Rey you okay?"
He just nodded but still his coughing fit did not stop, so she took a glass of water and tried to make him drink but before she could he jerked her hand away although unintentionaly, she was shocked at his rude behaviour although he never wanted it to be that way, he told her not wanting to talk,
"I am okay."
That's all he said before walking off still coughing and she stood there like a statue, Sharon was was there noticed this little interaction, she first looked at the way Rey went and then Taani who had tears in her eyes and were looking at Rey with hurt and pain. But before she could take to her Avantika called both of them to get their henna done.
The girls were getting their henna (Mehendi) done for the night. Taani was sitting and looking at the designs confused, Avantika saw this and called Rey who was passing by, now completely fine,
"Rey, come help Taani in deciding a henna design for her."
He looked at all the girls and then at Taani, she was waiting for him to come and smiled at him brightly, happy that he would help her now, but her smiled dropped hearing his next words,
"I don't know about all this Mom, usse jo pasand ho."
He gave a look to her and was going to walk away when he heard Rinni' voice,
"Yeah vese bhi koi bhi design ho, kya faraq padta hai, Taani ki mehendi sabse dark hogi just like her wedding. After all Rey usse itna sara pyaar jo karta hai."
Taani felt so guilty hearing her words and her gaze immediately went towards him who looked at her at the same time, it was like his eyes and heart were pleading her to believe in what Rinni said while her eyes conveyed that she was deeply sorry for her mistake and believes in his love. But sadly none could say this to the other one through words. The distance between both of them was literally killing them, but they were helpless.

Sorry guys!! Ending it here at the cliffhanger, I think I am doing that for the first time. What do you think, who is right? But whoever it is, both taarey are sad with whatever happened. I am sorry if I was not up to the mark for the fighting scene as writing an arguement sequence between a couple is actually difficult..... No idea of how they feel or how they handle it.
Anyways will be updating my new story, Taarey - The red string of fate next and then this one till then please keep voting and commenting.
