May and Cilan look to each other.
"It looks like it's me and you!" said May.
"It's not going to be an easy battle... I'm also a gym leader after all!" said Cilan.
Cilan and May walk to the field.
"And it's about to start!" said the caster.
Cilan and May enter the field.
"Here they are!" said caster.
"Each trainer will use two pokémon and the battle ends when all pokémon of one trainer are unable to battle, okay?" asked the referee.
"Okay!" said May.
Cilan nods.
"So bring your first pokémon!" shouted the referee.
"Blaziken, help me out here!" shouted May while throwing a pokéball into the air.
"Pansage, help me out here!" shouted Cilan while throwing a pokéball into the air.
"Blaziken!" said Blaziken while entering the field.
"Pansage!" said Pansage while entering the field.
"Battle, start!" shouted the referee.
"Ladies, first!" said Cilan.
"Thanks!" said May.
"Blaziken, Blaze Kick!" said May.
"Blazi!" said Blaziken while using Blaze Kick.
"Pansage, dodge it!" said Cilan.
"Pansage Pan!" said Pansage.
Pansage dodges Blaziken's Blaze Kick.
"Pansage, use Dig!" said Cilan.
"Pansage!" said Pansage while using Dig.
"Watch out, Blaziken!" said May.
"Wait for it..." thought May.
"Pansage!" said Pansage while coming out the ground.
Pansage's Dig makes contact.
"Now! Blaziken, use Overheat!" said May.
"Blaziken!" said Blaziken while using overheat.
Blaziken's Overheat makes contact.
"Pansage! Are you alright?" asked Cilan.
"Pansage Pan!" said Pansage.
"Rock Tomb!" said Cilan.
"Pansage!" said Pansage while using Rock Tomb.
"Blaziken, dodge it!" said May.
Blaziken dodges Pansage's Rock Tomb.
"Nice one, Blaziken!" said May.
Cilan looks worried about the battle.
"What will I do..." thought Cilan.
Suddenly, something clicks on Cilan's head.
"That's it!" said Cilan.
"Pansage, use Vine Whip!" said Cilan.
"Pansage!" said Pansage while using Vine Whip.
"Dodge it, Blaziken!" said May.
"Now!" said Cilan.
Pansage's Vine Whip grab Blaziken's foot.
"Now! Rock Tomb!" said Cilan.
"Blaziken!" shouted May.
"Pansage!" said Pansage while using Rock Tomb.
Pansage's Rock Tomb makes contact.
"Throw it!" said Cilan.
"Pansage!" said Pansage.
"Now! Vine Whip over and over again!" said Cilan.
"Pansage!" said Pansage.
Pansage uses Vine Whip mercilessly.
"Blaziken!" shouted May.
"Blaziken is unable to battle! Pansage is the winner!" said the referee.
"Thanks, Blaziken... You battled well..." said May while retrieving Blaziken.
"Glaceon, help me out here!" shouted May while throwing a pokéball into the air.
"Glaceon!" said Glaceon while entering the field.
"Ladies first!" said Cilan, smiling.
"Thanks!" said May.
"Glaceon, Shadow Ball!" said May.
"Gla! Ceon!" said Glaceon while using Shadow Ball.
"Pansage, use Vine Whip to send it back!" said Cilan.
"Pansage!" said Pansage while using Vine Whip.
Pansage's Vine Whip was successful to hit Glaceon's Shadow Ball back to Glaceon.
"How did you do that?" asked May.
"It was a special training we did!" said Cilan.
May is nervous.
"What do I do..." thought May.
Suddenly something clicks on May's head.
"Ice Shard!" said May.
"Glace!" said Glaceon while using Ice Shard.
"Pansage, dodge it with Dig!" said Cilan.
"Pansage!" said Pansage while using Dig to dodge the attack.
"Now! Glaceon, jump!" said May.
"Glaceon!" said Glaceon while Jumping.
"Now! Ice Shard aiming down!" said May.
"Glaceon!" said Glaceon.
Glaceon uses Ice Shard aiming to the ground.
"Pansage!" said Pansage while coming up.
Pansage is hit by Glaceon's Ice Shard.
"Pansage!" shouted Cilan.
"Pansage, are you okay?" asked Cilan.
"Pansage!" said Pansage, panting.
"It's evaluation time!" shouted Cilan.
"Evaluation time, really?" asked May.
"Here we go again..." said an unimpressed Iris in the stands.
"Your move was a very surprising ingredient in this spicy recipe that we, as opponents, are cooking... Your Glaceon is a very unique ingredient, it's hot and cold at the same time, and this recipe is sure going to be both sweet and spicy, both hot and cold!" said Cilan.
"So..." said Cilan.
"Let's finish this, Rock Tomb!" said Cilan.
Pansage's Rock Tomb hits Glaceon.
"Now! Vine Whip!" said Cilan.
"Pansage Pan!" said Pansage.
Pansage's Vine Whip makes contact.
"Glaceon!" shouted May.
"Glaceon is unable to battle! Cilan is the winner!" said the referee.
"You did well... Sorry for the loss..." said May while retrieving Glaceon.
Cilan approaches May.
"You did well! But my Pansage was just more determined today... This battle could really be a win for you in some other day..." said Cilan, smiling.
"Thanks... But I think you were just the better trainer today..." said May, smiling.
Both trainers leave the field.
Miette manages to win her battle in the semi final.
Miette, May and Cilan are walking towards the exit to meet their friends.
"Miette! Cilan! Congratulations on your wins!" said Iris.
"Thanks for everyone for cheering for us both!" said Miette.
"What are you guys going to do now?" asked Cilan.
"We don't know, to be honest..." said Serena.
"What do you guys think about having a special dinner to celebrate everyone's participation on the tournament?" asked Cilan.
Everyone look to each other.
Everyone nod.
"We would actually like that!" said Serena.
"So, I'll cook everything! Let's have fun!" said Cilan, smiling.
Everyone start walking towards the pokécenter.
"Cilan..." said Dawn.
Cilan stops walking and hears what Dawn is about to say.
"What?" asked Cilan.
"I would like to help you..." said Dawn, looking to the floor.
"Can I?" asked Dawn, looking in Cilan's eyes.
"Of course!" said Cilan, smiling.
Dawn smiles.
"Dawn..." Cilan said.
"What?" asked Dawn.
"Have you decided anything about that thing we talked the other day?" asked Cilan.
"Oh... yes..." said Dawn, looking to the ground.
"I'm sorry... But I don't think I have feelings for you..." said Dawn, looking down.
"That's great!" said Cilan.
"I knew you didn't have feelings for me... But I wanted you to find that out for yourself..." said Cilan, smiling.
"You did?" asked Dawn.
"Yes..." said Cilan.
"I'm sorry... But it was important to you to find that out for yourself..." said Cilan.
"No problem! Thanks for it!" said Dawn, smiling.
"You sure know a lot about love, don't you?" asked Dawn.
"I know a little bit..." said Cilan, smiling nervously.
"I think it's better for us to get going.. They probably are missing us at this point..." said Dawn.
"I agree with you..." said Cilan, smiling.
Both head their way to the pokécenter.
Cilan and Dawn start making the dinner.
They finish cooking and are about to serve.
"Here it is!" said Dawn.
"Our special dinner for everyone!" said Cilan, smiling.
Everyone starts eating.
They finish eating amd went to sleep.
Cilan and Miette are both thinking about strategies for their final battle.
Eventually, they both went to sleep aswell.
