Game Night
Jethro and Hadlee sat on Jesse's couch together as the board game unfolded in front of them. However, neither of them were paying very much attention to the game night that the other lifeguards had insisted upon because they were immersed in their own little game of tease and retreat. Nothing that would draw attention to them, or so they thought, a brush of an arm while they were reaching for a card or the dice or fleeting eye contact when they were sure nobody was paying attention to them was the little contact they gave each other. The tension between the two younger members of the team was slowly growing though they tried to keep their behavior in check. However, their coworkers had begun to notice the subtle movements that suggested that the younger members would rather be somewhere else, doing something else. It wasn't a secret that Hadlee and Jethro had formed an intimate relationship over the several months since she had come into their lives and it was comical to the older men to watch them try to remain discreet in their actions.
Harrison was having an inward wrestling match on whether or not to say something but a look from Jesse told him to leave the situation alone. When the alarm on Hadlee's phone went off she glanced at it and read the message on the screen.
"I guess it's time for me to head home. I will see you all in the morning." Hadlee said standing and making her way towards the door.
"I'll take you home Hads." Harrison said standing and looking around for his shoes.
Jethro, still wanting to spend some time with Hadlee took the open opportunity.
"I can take her home Harrison, it's on my way and that way you can hang out longer." Jethro offered.
Harrison thought for a moment before nodding.
"Okay, thanks Jeth. Be safe and I'll be home later. Night Hads." Harrison said.
"Night Hutz. Night everybody." Hadlee said.
The couple bid their goodbyes to the group and left the house. On their way home they sat in a comfortable silence, though the side looks didn't cease. Hadlee couldn't help but bite her bottom lip as they pulled into the parking lot of her apartment building. Jethro pushed the gear shift into park and sat for a moment. Hadlee leaned over the center divider slowly and watched her boyfriend for a moment before leaning closer to his ear.
"Do you wanna come up?" She asked.
Jethro turned to her and leaned his forehead against hers and placed a slow, deep kiss on her lips. He pulled away and smiled.
"I think I can do that." He said quietly.
Both Jethro and Hadlee tried to look casual as they made their way up to the fourth floor, though their level of success was questionable at best. Jethro's hands rested on Hadlee's hips squeezing them gently as she dug her keys out of her backpack. Her task was only made more difficult when she felt her hair being pushed aside and hot breath was blown against her neck. She bit her lip harder trying to keep her moan internalized.
"You're making this really hard." She groaned.
She felt Jethro chuckle before he placed an open mouth kiss against the base of Hadlee's neck. Hadlee's eyes nearly crossed as her head fell back against Jethro.
"I-I don't think my neighbors wanna see this." She muttered.
Jethro chuckled again.
"Then I suggest you find that key." He teased.
Hadlee swallowed the moan that was building and shoved her hand back into her bag, finally fishing out her keys. In what seemed like a blink of an eye Jethro snatched the key, opened the door, pushed them both inside, and had Hadlee pressed up against the back of the door. Hadlee laughed.
"Finally, alone." She said.
Jethro laughed and nodded before pressing his lips against hers roughly. Hadlee was shocked at first but found herself sinking into the kiss happily. Her arms wrapped around his neck and one of her hands ran into his hair, gripping it. Jethro moaned against her mouth and Hadlee smiled.
"Jump." Jethro muttered.
Hadlee hoped up and wrapped her legs around Jethro's waist bringing her even closer to him, and she loved it. He pressed her against the door harder and planted kisses down her jaw and moved down. Hadlee instinctively tried to move her face closer to his but Jethro used his hand to keep her head to one side to allow him better access to her neck. A moan tumbled from Hadlee's mouth as he kissed a spot under her ear, and she blushed fiercely, not expecting herself to sound so wanton. Her hands gripped Jethro harder when he moved back up and pressed his forehead against hers again.
"Bedroom?" He asked, out of breath.
Hadlee nodded and was expecting Jethro to put her down but was taken by surprise when he gripped her thighs to keep her in place as he walked them both to her room. She giggled and used the opportunity to plant a few of her own well-placed kisses against his neck, eliciting a few quiet moans from Jethro as he moved. When they got to her room she squealed a bit when he playfully threw her onto the comforter before slipping off his shoes and hoping onto the bed so that he was hovering over her. She couldn't help but smile, he was so goofy and fun but sweet and loving at the same time and she loved every second that she was with him.
She pulled him down to her and again they were locked in a fiercely passionate kiss. Hadlee's hands traveled down and she played with the hem of Jethro's shirt, slowly slipping her hands underneath and kneading his back. He sat up and pulled it off, throwing it somewhere in the room. Hadlee's eyes sparkled at the sight of his chest and abdomen. His role as a lifeguard left his body both toned and tanned and she silently thanked God for it. She used the moment to flip them over so that she was straddling his waist and she smiled into another kiss. Before long, Jethro had pulled her shirt halfway up as well and she made the final decision as she pulled it over her head. He used his fingers to gently tilt her chin up and he placed a soft kiss on her lips.
"You're beautiful." He said when he saw her slight discomfort.
Hadlee smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck again, pulling him in for another kiss.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!" Somebody yelled.
Jethro and Hadlee sprang apart and looked over to see Harrison standing in the doorway. Hadlee dove for her shirt which was on the floor near the bed. She pulled it on hurriedly.
"Harrison, what are you doing here?" She asked, at a loss for what else to possibly say.
Harrison gave her a are you fucking kidding me look.
"I live here, Hadlee. I thought Jethro was just gonna drop you off." Harrison said.
"To be fair, I said that I would bring her home I never said that I would just drop her off." Jethro said.
Harrison shifted his gaze to Jethro who was still sitting on Hadlee's bed, shirtless.
"Now would not be a good time for you to say anything," Harrison said. "Hadlee I'm going to go and pack lunches for tomorrow. Then we are going to talk."
Harrison pushed himself off of the doorframe and walked down the hall. Hadlee sighed and handed Jethro his shirt. She sat down next to him as he slipped his shirt on.
"I'm sorry I got you in trouble." Jethro whispered pulling her in for a hug.
Hadlee shook her head.
"Don't worry about it. He's just being overprotective. I'll walk you out." She said and stood, pulling Jethro to his feet as well.
Hadlee opened the apartment door for him and leaned against it slightly.
"You gonna be okay?" Jethro asked, looking skeptically in the direction of the kitchen where Harrison was working on their lunches.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. I had fun tonight." She said.
"I did too." Jethro said, leaning down and kissing her gently.
"I will see you at work tomorrow." Hadlee said when they separated.
"Okay, good night Hads." Jethro said.
"Good night." She replied and quietly closed the door as he walked down the hall.
