(Y/N)'s POV:
We all run for their lives, trying to get to the Monster Hive. Along the way, we hear a familiar creepy laugh, making us stop in our tracks. Past a corner, we see Space Kook and Captain Cutler, who was somehow able to make it all the way back to the mines.
"We can't all go together," Sam says.
"Velma, (Y/N), (F/A/N), Shaggy, Scooby, you guys go on ahead. We'll take care of these two," Dean says, gesturing to himself and his brother. "Whatever happens, you've gotta get that control panel to the Hive."
"Like, we're on it," says Shaggy.
Velma, Shaggy, Scooby, (F/A/N) and I don't waste any time on doing what we're told, trusting our friends. However, not long after splitting up, the five of us encounter another problem.
"The Skeleton Men," Velma says, scared.
From a distance, we notice the shadows of the Skeleton Men, who seem to be rearranging themselves after being broken up into pieces, in one of the buildings. Then Scooby farts all of a sudden.
"He does that when he gets nervous," Shaggy says.
"Scoob," (F/A/N) says, not looking pleased.
"Rorry," Scooby says.
Glad that we're all in front of Scooby instead of behind him.
As slowly as possible, the five of us take several steps back and then makes sure to hide ourselves.
"Here, Shaggy, take this," Velma says, handing the control panel over to Shaggy.
"Why are you giving this to me?" Shaggy asks.
"I'll distract those skeletal screwballs," Velma says. "You, (Y/N), (F/A/N) and Scooby get this to the Monster Hive."
"Us?" Shaggy asks.
"Yes. You're faster than me. Once there, just plug it into the base. Push this button," says Velma. "I fixed it so it will destroy all the monsters."
"But...But...we can't," says Shaggy.
"Re're rewups," Scooby says.
"I mean, we tried to be heroes like you guys, but we're not, okay? We're just not," Shaggy says.
"No," says Scooby.
Hearing this, I can't help but be shocked. I mean, is that what's been bothering them lately? As I think about it, it does make sense why they've been acting weirder than usual.
"Like me?" Velma asks, shocked, making sure that she heard right. "That's funny. I always wanted to be like you guys. You guys are so free. You're never afraid to be who you really are," her words catch Shaggy and Scooby by surprise. "Whether you're fearful of joyful or hungry."
"Same here. To me, Shaggy, you've always been my hero," I say with a smile, remembering how he saved my life back on Spooky Island.
"Really?" Shaggy asks.
"We've known each other ever since we kids. I love you, Shaggy. And I wouldn't change anything about you guys. I think you've been heroes all along. You just haven't known it," I say.
Velma then takes a deep breath. "Here I go."
Velma then takes off to face the Skeleton Men, leaving the rest us. As for Shaggy and Scooby, they are both happy to have heard Velma and me say those words.
"Reroes," Scooby says.
"Heroes," Shaggy says.
(3rd) POV:
"On your knees, knave," the Black Knight Ghost says.
"Can't you see we're talking?" Fred questions, looking annoyed with the ghost.
"Talking is for wimps," the Black Knight Ghost says, pointing his sword at Fred.
"You can't fool me with that macho facade. You're just afraid to show your sensitive side," says Fred.
"Ooh, you've touched my inner child," the Black Knight Ghost says, then gets angry, really angry. "And he's really mad!"
Fred and Daphne quickly get up, knowing that now is not the time to just lay there and do nothing.
(Y/N)'s POV:
"Okay, I think the coast is clear," I say, not seeing any of the monsters, and hoping for it to stay that way.
"Come on, Scoob," Shaggy says.
"Rokay," says Scooby.
Before we can go anywhere, however, we bump into something, or someone.
"Miner 49er!" Shaggy exclaims, scared.
"Ruh-roh," says Scooby.
Miner 49er laughs at us, then breaths out fire from his mouth. Shaggy, Scooby, (F/A/N) and I thankfully avoid being burnt to a crisp. Before Miner 49er can do it again, Shaggy quickly holds up a finger, making the ghost confused, and then quickly runs off at the speed of light. (F/A/N), Scooby and I follow Shaggy's example, and do the same thing.
"I'll get you, you varmints!" Miner 49er exclaims, chasing after us.
(3rd) POV:
Meanwhile, Velma picks up a rock. "Hey!" she exclaims, throwing the rock at the two Skeleton Men, landing a perfect hit.
Having their attention, Velma runs as fast as she can, while the Skeleton men chase after her. As for Daphne and the Winchester brothers, they try their best to face off against Captain Cutler and Space Kook. Running through the mines, the Winchesters are literally haunted by Space Kook's laughter. The further they ran the closer their trackers close in on them. Then Space Kook sticks out his hands and just barely manages to miss snatching Dean.
"Dean, we better do something," Sam says. "We're just going to exhaust ourselves at this rate."
"How do you propose we do that, Sammy?" Dean asks.
The two brothers comes to a screeching halt at a dead end of a tunnel. With not much else to do, they try to quickly think of a plan. Dean works on a trap to demolish Captain Cutler and Space Kook while Sam keeps a lookout.
There is a miner's cart in front of Dean. Dean greases the cart tracks with some kind of oil that he found nearby. Captain Cutler and Space Kook slide on the lotion as Dean pushes the cart at them. Both Captain Cutler and Space Kook go flying into the cart. Sam and Dean then push the cart down a mine shaft, relieved to see Cutler and Space Kook disappear way down, down, down below ground.
At some point, the Ten Thousand Volt Ghost appeared; most likely was looking for Daphne to make sure that he finished the job of killing her. What's worse is that the Ten Thousand Volt Ghost and the Black Knight Ghost have Fred and Daphne surrounded.
"Dead end," the Ten Thousand Volt Ghost says.
Daphne then notices how close her and Fred are to the van. When I notice some cables, that's when I get an idea.
"Fred, remember when we were young and you used to wear that jumper?" Daphne asks.
Fred jumps, barely avoiding the Black Knight Ghost's sword. "What? Me? In a jumper?" he asks.
"And we used to watch cable?" Daphne ask, hinting him about the cables in the van.
Thankfully, he catches on and quickly hands Daphne a pair of cables. She quickly catches a metal pole and places the cables on it.
"Do it!" Fred exclaims. Daphne then toss the metal pole, like a spear, into the Ten Thousand Volt Ghost. As for Fred, he places another pair of cables on the Black Knight Ghost's sword and its crotch area (I didn't know what else to call it). "Lights out."
While the Black Knight Ghost is getting electrocuted by the Ten Thousand Volt Ghost, Fred and Daphne use this as their chance to escape!
"Blackout! Blackout!" the Ten Thousand Volt Ghost screams.
Both Ghosts explode into an oblivion, hopefully never to be seen ever again.
"Oh, crap," the Black Knight Ghosts says, being nothing more than just a head.
As for Velma, she continues to run. When she sees a human size exhaust pipe, she doesn't hesitate to jump into it. The lid closes behind her. As for the Skeleton Men, they try to go after her by trying to open up the lid, until they hear something.
Some of the hinges might've come off because the exhaust pipe comes apart, making the two Skeleton Men break into pieces once again. Velma screams, sliding down through the exhaust pipe, until she ends up landing hard in some sort of cave.
(Y/N)'s POV:
Shaggy, Scooby, (F/A/N) and I run into a building. When Miner 49er enters the same building, he comes face to face with us.
"Take this, daddy-o. It's a real gas," Shaggy declares with a smile, holding up Scooby's tail.
While Miner 49 breaths out his fire, Scooby lets out a loud and long fart, sending the flames back at the ghost. Now burnt, the ghost collapses, unable to handle the terrible smell that came from Scooby. (F/A/N) and I made sure to cover our noses through the whole thing so that we wouldn't suffocate.
"Come on. Let's go, Scoob!" Shaggy exclaims, picking up the control panel.
We then make a run for it, getting away from Miner 49er, and making our way to the Monster Hive.
(3rd) POV:
Velma slowly gets up, but isn't wearing her glasses anymore.
"Ow-wee. My glasses," Velma says, feeling around the rocks for her glasses. "Oh brother. Not again. I've got to consider contact lenses."
Velma tries to search for her glasses, but ends up pressing a button, activating a movie projector. The video playing shows Jonathan Jacobo. Without knowing where she's going, Velma walks toward some kind of unusual shrine.
"Some kind of scary bat. Wait a minute," Velma says, then notices a very old newspaper article. "That's the pterodactyl. The Pterodactyl Ghost," she then coincidentally grabs two old photos. One appears to have been taken in front of the Coolsonian, while the other looks ripped, showing a younger version of (Y/N)'s mother with an arm wrapped around her shoulder. But without her glasses, Velma can't make out the details. "What's this?" believing that they might be clues, Velma tucks the photos in her pocket. She then picks up another photo, getting a better look at it. "A shrine! To Jonathan Jacobo? But who would be so obsessed with him?"
Without noticing, someone walks towards Velma. "Velma," a voice says, catching the said girl by surprise. Whoever it is, they hold out Velma's glasses. "Lose something?"
Velma takes the glasses. When she puts them on, her vision becomes clear. And the person she sees makes her shocked.
"Patrick. Uh, what are you doing here?" Velma asks, backing away from Patrick as he walks closer to her.
"I'm trying to solve this mystery. Same as you. I mean, that is what you're doing, right? Trying to solve this mystery?" Patrick asks.
"Yes," Velma says. "Why are you so obsessed with Jonathan Jacobo?"
"What are you talking about?" Patrick asks, confused, taking a step closer to Velma.
But Velma quickly makes a run for it. "No way, Jose."
Patrick calls out Velma's name, trying to catch up with her. They soon end up in the Monster Hive.
"Stay away from me," Velma says, backing away from Patrick. "I know who you are."
What Velma fails to realize is that a piece of the grates is broken, causing her to scream and fall. Thankfully, Patrick grabs her, preventing her from falling.
"Velma, let go of the grate," says Patrick.
"So I can fall to my death?" Velma asks, practically screaming.
"No, so I can pull you up," Patrick say. "You gotta trust me."
"No. I only trust the facts. And all the facts say that you're the Evil Masked Figure."
"What does your heart say?"
"I don't know. It's beating too loud for me to hear."
"Look deeper. You gotta trust me."
Velma thinks for a moment, unsure of what she should do. Then she slowly lets go of the grate. Before she could fall, Patrick quickly grabs her other hand and pulls her up to safety.
"You saved my life," Velma says, still in shock.
All of a sudden the Pterodactyl Ghost appears. Patrick pushes Velma out of the way, resulting in him getting caught instead of her.
"Patrick!" Velma exclaims, worried.
Patrick screams as he gets carried off.
"Velma!" Daphne calls out, her, Fred, Dean and Sam rushing to see if Velma's okay.
"That thing just flew off with Patrick!" Velma exclaims, pointing to where she saw the Pterodactyl Ghost fly off to.
"The best thing we can do for him right now is get that control panel back where it belongs," says Sam.
However, they all notice that Velma doesn't have the control panel, making them worried on where it is!
"Where is it?" Daphne asks, trying to stay as calm as possible instead of panicking.
"I, uh...gave it to Shaggy and Scooby," Velma nervously says.
Fred and Dean then laugh.
"That's weird. It sounded like you just said you gave it to Shaggy and Scooby," Fred says.
"Oh, that's a good one, Velma. Though, seriously, where is it?" Dean asks, thinking that Velma's pulling their legs.
When Velma remains silent, the others start to become worried.
"...You are kidding...Right?" Dean asks.
"No, I'm not. But (Y/N) and (F/A/N) are with them," says Velma.
It's not that they don't trust Shaggy and Scooby. It's just...Knowing those two, they'll practically be too terrified to come into the Monster Hive once they encounter one of the monsters! But they are grateful that Shaggy and Scooby have (Y/N) and (F/A/N) with them to keep them safe.
(Y/N)'s POV:
After losing Miner 49er, Shaggy, (F/A/N), Scooby and I quickly enter a familiar building that leads to the Monster Hive, locking the doors behind us.
"I think we lost them," I say, relieved that we finally made it this close to the Monster Hive.
"Scoob, we made it," Shaggy says, happy.
Scooby nods his head in agreement. However, a giant pink monster with a cone on its head appears.
"You should never have locked those locks," the monster says, making Shaggy and Scooby turn around to face the monster before them, becoming scared. "Now you're stuck in here with me! The Cotton Candy Glob."
"Cotton. Candy. Glob?" Shaggy and Scooby ask in sync, their fear soon turning into confusion.
The Cotton Candy Glob lets out an evil chuckle. "Yes."
Instead of being afraid, Shaggy and Scooby start to get an idea. Noticing the change, the Cotton Candy Glob starts to become nervous, not liking the hungry looks in Shaggy and Scooby's eyes. After Shaggy hands me the control panel, the two of them have at it, helping themselves by eating the cotton candy monster.
"No! I'll give you cavities!" the Cotton Candy Glob screams out.
Despite how...disturbing it is, (F/A/N) and I are used to their weird food habits and aren't that bothered by it.
