Just bear with the story. It may get more or less interesting depending. But the character may be one of if not, the funniest and maniacal characters there is....Probably just one of. Also some bullshit moments do happen in this story and things may not make sense. Just bear with it till the end
Y/n Pov
As I stand up top of the tower,all I see is fire,death,destruction. I lost a friend, almost lost more if I wasn't here. The beasts of this world appeared suddenly, nobody expected it. But how did I get here in the first place? It's a long story.
Y/n and the environment turned to ash and blew away revealing a Y/n wearing a camouflage armor inside a greenish tent
Soldier:Hey Y/n! We need to get going!
Y/n:Alright!
I got up from my bed and walked out the tent into the desert with the blaring sun shining down on us
Y/n:So what are we doing?
Soldier:Rescue mission. There was a helicopter crash and we need to save the pilot.
Y/n:Lets get going then.
I walked to the MRAP and got in the back
Driver:Buckle up boys. We're going to take constant fire on our way there.
He started driving towards the town with smoke rising in the middle
Y/n:Any idea what caused the crash?
Soldier:A rocket was fired at it.
Driver:I see the town.
Ping ping ping ping
The bullets were bouncing off the armor of the truck
Y/n:How long will this truck last out there?
Driver:It's heavily armored but not invincible. Can't tell how long it will last.
Soldier:Just keep it going. We're almost there.(tuning headset)This is squad 749. We are about to reach the target.
Command:Copy 749 we read you loud and clear. We have some more trucks inbound on your location.
Soldier:Why?
Command:There's too many hostiles out there. If you try extracting the pilot, good chance is you're going to get shot up. Remember, there's only three of you in that truck.
Soldier:Copy.
He turned off the headset
Soldier:Alright. We can't extract the pilot until reinforcements arrive. So this is the plan. We are going to protect the site for as long as we can until they arrive, then we will extract.
Y/n:Got it.
I grabbed my M27 and loaded it, I then grabbed my X2 reflex and attached it to the top railing. I then grabbed my foregrip and attached it to the under-barrel.
Y/n:Gun's loaded
Soldier:Good. Since we aren't being shot at this moment,bring us near a building so we can hide in it.
Driver:If you say so.
The driver pulled up near a building.
Me and the other soldier got out the MRAP and walked into the building
The soldier signaled the driver to drive away and he did
Soldier:We have 10 minutes till they get here.
Y/n:Got it.
I walked upstairs to get a height advantage on the enemies
Soldier:(over comms) See anything yet?
Y/n:I just got up here.
Soldier:(comms)Let me know when something happens.
Y/n:Yes sir.
I raised my rifle and started aiming around, seeing if I can't find anything
10 minutes later
We heard gunfire and trucks driving nearby
Soldier:That's them!
I ran downstairs and followed him to the helicopters area
When we got there we started taking fire
Soldier:Down down down!
We both took cover behind one of the trucks
Y/n:How long do we have left to save the pilot!?
Soldier:Another 20 minutes!
Y/n:Good!
I peaked out of cover and fired a few bullets, killing two enemies
We seen another truck pull up and it was our reinforcements
Soldier:About damn time you got here!
Y/n! Grab the pilot and help him out of there!
Y/n:Yes sir!
I holstered my rifle and went to the helicopter
Pilot:Finally! I thought you guys forgot about me. It's been like 17 minutes since I crashed.
Y/n:Any serious injuries?
Pilot:Minor damages as far as I seen. Now get me out of here.
I grabbed him by his wrists and pulled him out of the wreckage
Pilot:Sure wish I could walk again.
I lifted him up and carried him to the truck
Soldier:RPG get down!
I heard a thump before the truck in front of me exploded knocking me and the pilot down
Pilot:Ah Crap!
Y/n:You Alright!?
Pilot:Never better!
I got back up and helped him to his feet
Y/n:Lets go.
I carried him to another truck and placed him inside of it before knocking on the truck, signaling him to drive away
Soldier:Y/n! Get over here! It's time to go!
I started running to the MRAP
But time slowed down all of a sudden
I watched as blood spurted out of my chest
One after another, everything went numb and blurry
Soldier:(faint)Y/n!
Then everything went black
Soldier's Pov
I just watched Private Y/n get shot in the back by an unseen terrorist
Soldier:Y/n!
I got out the truck and shot the guy and killed him before running up to y/n
Soldier:Stay with me private!
Y/n:(slowly breathing and stuttering)D-did I m-ma-make y-y-you p-p-p-proud Dad?
He then went limp and passed away
Soldier(crying)You did son.... you did.
I then lifted him up and brought him to the truck
We then went back to base where we got on a helicopter and headed back to America
I heard soldiers talking to each other
I saw some passing drinks to others
But me? I silently bent down to pick up my son's dog tags
I'll miss you son. You may not have been my real son. But you're like a son I never had. I wish I could have called you son in front of you, while you were still alive, so you could see how much I care for you
You're in a better place now, I just hope we can see each other soon. I love you son...
Y/n Pov
I woke up in the middle of a forest, I got up and saw there were green trees and grass as far as the eye can see
Y/n:What happened? I thought I died.
I looked down and saw my chest was covered in blood still, with bullet holes in my armor but no wounds though
Y/n:What the hell happened?
I started walking questioning if I can find commander Jacob, he was the only soldier that stuck with me
