I don't want to be overburdened by this string any longer
it binds me and entangles me in its reach
it tells me I must conform to it,
must never try to break free,
and all it offers is an or else as to why
I'm ready to find out if I'm right about what or else means

I'm afraid of judgement so you have to be too
but the thing is,
I don't.
I could stand alone in a field just dancing,
or start dancing out in public,
or laughing maniacally to some childishly funny joke,
but instead I'm sitting here anxiously waiting for this to end.
enough is enough.
I release your bind on me.
