Draco Malfoy. He was my mission to make sure he was not caught by anybody as he carried out his task to kill the Albus Dumbledore. Only Problem? I had never met him in my life. Fast forward to present day to where I am standing outside his house in the rain. I had two weeks to get to know him before we go to Hogwarts and have to pull of this act of me being his best friend from France. I take a deep breath before knocking on the door. A boy with platinum blonde hair and blue eyes answers.
"You must be Draco." I say holding out my hand for him to shake and he does
"Yes, I am and you must be Y/n." He spoke his tone monotone but based on what I did know about him it did not come as a surprise
He gestures for me to enter the house and I do so. Both of us in a comfortable silence as we walk through the corridors together. However, my thoughts were far from quiet.
"Would you be so kind to enlighten me on the plan?" He asks
"I am your foreign friend who is fluent in both French and English who went to a wizarding boarding school far from here however my parents believed it would be wise for me to go to Hogwarts as it is probably the safest place to be from You Know Who. I am going to cover for you when you are not in lessons and also will make sure prying eyes do not go wandering." I explain
"Ok do you understand the layout of the school and who the teachers?" He asks and I just nod
"I am sorry you know that you have to do this. I know why you are a death eater and it is no fault of your own." I say
"What about you? Why are you a death eater?" He inquires
"I didn't have a choice much like you I was told I had to or I suffer the consequences I knew better than to argue with it so I did what I had to do." I tell him walking back towards the doorway I had come through only moments before.
"To do what?" He questions making me stop in my tracks
I turn to face the boy and smile ever so slightly.
"To survive Mr Malfoy because that is what I do best." I answer before grabbing my coat and walking back outside into the pouring rain.
