"Are the other guys not coming?"
Nova questioned while her and Harry were currently walking through the long, hotel's hallway to get to their room.
They only checked in twenty minutes ago and were going to get settled in.
Harry held two small suitcases with a mix of both of their things but not much since they weren't staying for long.
Nova's suitcase was especially not heavy because her usual necessities weren't in there.
Meaning, all Nova's little and headspace items were not brought. Simply because she wasn't in one at the moment.
Her asthma attack was only a day ago but since that time, Nova's been more focused on being comfortable physically than mentally.
The men could tell the situation shook her up a bit since she doesn't get those attacks often, so they just left it at that for whatever she wanted.
"Nope it's just going to be us for the next couple of days, sweetheart. The guys are staying back"
Harry answered, smiling down at her while Nova glanced up at him at the same time.
Nova nodded, feeling Harry bring her closer to him.
"Room 567, right here, love"
Harry announced, noticing the door number to his right.
Harry used the given room key to unlock the door, before letting Nova in first.
"I'm kind of hungry... actually really hungry"
Nova pouted, rubbing her stomach while she sat on one of the hotel beds.
"You are, babe? I am getting hungry too. We can go downstairs to the restaurant"
Harry responded, unzipping his suitcase on the other bed, next to her.
"Okay" Nova smiled, already jumping off and heading towards to put her shoes back on again.
Harry chuckled, watching her already in a hurry.
"Okay, but just wait a second, baby. I have to call them so we can get a private room"
Harry explained, slipping his black, iphone out of his back pocket.
Nova sighed, just wanting to get down there to eat.
She knew the situation they were in with their status but she didn't even see a lot of people down there anyway.
"But maybe we don't have to, it wasn't busy"
Nova spoke, watching him type on his phone.
"I know it may seem like that, babe. But someone is always watching, unfortunately. Plus I didn't take security with us for this as well. It'll only take a second to call, Nova"
Nova nodded, going to the floor to untie the knot that was already created in her tennis shoes.
Harry already dialed the number, leaning his head on his phone between his shoulder.
While the host answered, Harry maintained the conversation, watching his little girl at the same time.
He couldn't help but grin seeing her focused expression, trying to get the knot out.
Her faces always were cute and funny to all the guys, especially when she didn't realize they were watching.
Harry kept talking while going over to Nova on the carpet and crouching down in front of her.
He was quiet, listening to man on the phone but also gently taking the shoe out of her hand.
He kept the phone between his shoulder, working on the knot, and fixing it quickly.
'There you go' Harry mouthed, giving her a small smile, and handing the white shoe back to her.
'Thank you' Nova grinned back, slipping her socked foot into one of them.
"What's wrong, princess? You look very focused"
Harry laughed, wrapping his arm around Nova's chair in the hotel restaurant.
He leaned closer to her, pecking her cheek lightly before moving some of her hair out of her face.
Nova eyes were down at her menu, as she was getting more confused on the food terms.
Nova already knew this hotel was very expensive and rich but even the food seemed that way too from not being able to understand what she was reading.
It just seemed like 'rich people' food with weird terms. She honestly just wanted a simple cheese burger or something like that.
"I don't think I like any of these things. I can barley read what they are"
Nova explained, pointing to Harry the confusing menu.
"Hm, well you don't have to have these. Actually the kids menu is in the back of it, you should choose from there, love"
Harry suggested, flipping the pages until he found the kids seconds filled with simple foods.
"But, isn't that a little childish .. and embarrassing to order?"
Nova asked, glancing up at him with an unsure expression.
"It's not embarrassing at all, babe. You can order whatever you want, I want you to get full. Remember, it's really just us and one waiter"
Harry reminded, gesturing to the secluded room they were in.
"Okay... I think I'll get the grilled cheese... and French fries" Nova picked out, feeling better about the situation.
"There you go, angel. Pick whatever you want"
Harry chuckled, rubbing his hand on her back.
Within an hour, Nova and Harry received their food and were very happy with their meal.
"Is it good, Nova?"
Harry asked, watching the teenager eat her dinner quickly.
She had a full face of enjoyment while eating that made Harry want to laugh.
"Yep, it's really good. I like the bread"
Nova answered, staring down at the sand which in her hands.
"Well that's all I wanted to hear" Harry smiled, continuing to eat his own hot meal.
"You ready to go, angel?"
Harry asked, slipping on his jacket.
"Yes" Nova responded, walking out of their hotel bathroom after using it. She had excitement looking forward to walking around the city.
They did chill up in their room for a bit after eating dinner downstairs. However, Harry came up with an idea to get them outside for a little bit.
Nova's birthday was coming up in about 2 weeks. Her big 18th.
Of course the men already bought her many birthday gifts that she had no idea about yet.
Although, Harry wanted to look around at a couple of boutiques near them to get her an early, little gift.
It wasn't going to be anything big, but something that she was able to pick out.
Nova had on only a thin jacket that would've been fine if it wasn't so windy out at this time of night.
"Here, hun, you can wear my sweatshirt on top of that. It's very cool outside"
Harry offered, pulling a black nike sweatshirt out of his suitcase, before handing it to her
Nova nodded, pulling and zipping it up on her while Harry made sure he had his wallet and phone.
Harry opened the door, letting Nova walk out first.
"All this jewelry is so pretty and dainty"
Nova grinned, gently touching some bracelets and necklaces. There was so much real gold around her she couldn't believe it.
"It is, I think any of them would look amazing on you, sweetheart"
Harry complimented, wrapping one of his arms around her waist, bringing her closer to him.
Nova smiled, leaning her head against his shoulder for a second before lifting it.
"Did you see one that you really, really like though?" Harry asked, looking down at her.
"Um.. I don't know yet, there's so many to choose from"
Nova responded, turning around to start observing again.
"That's alright, take your time, hun"
Harry assured, noticing some rings in the glass.
He moved over in that direction to take a look at those.
In a only couple of minutes, Nova stopped immediately seeing one that caught her eye.
She loved this one because it was simple but so pretty. She read the tag to see that it was a moonstone, which made her want it even more.
"That's a nice one, Nova" Harry grinned, walking up behind her.
"I know, I like it too" Nova answered, still staring at it.
"Well let's get it, love. This one will look amazing on you" Harry assured.
"Okay, thank you so much"
Nova appreciated, immediately looking up at Harry with fond eyes.
She felt awkward, knowing the price was out of this world for her but she knew Harry would still ask her to get it.
"No problem babe, it's your birthday soon anyway. Here, let's get someone"
Harry smiled at her before finding an employee.
"That looks so cute on you, baby"
Zayn beamed from ear to ear as his face was close up on FaceTime.
"That does look really nice" Liam grinned, as he was in the corner on the phone as Zayn barley got his face in the camera.
"Thank you"
Nova expressed, while one of her hands held Harry's phone and the other playing with the stone of the necklace.
Nova and and Harry finally got back from their nice, night walk and were now getting ready to go to bed.
But of course not without a FaceTime call from the other guys.
Nova was already showered and comfortable in bed with her pajamas on. She lead against the headboard of the bed while talking to Zayn and Liam.
Harry was taking his turn cleaning up in the bathroom so he just gave her his phone in the meantime.
"I am so glad you had a fun day with Harry, love. You're not even far but we still miss you"
Zayn laughed, rubbing his forehead.
"Yes, very birding today. You're really our entertainment, Nov— Zayn can you get me more in the view"
Liam joked, shaking his head.
Zayn mumbled a quick, 'sorry', before laughing.
He then must of propped them up somewhere in the house because Nova was able to see both of the clearly together.
"I miss you too"
Nova said back, genuinely.
"Aw that's good, babe. You look tired, hun" Zayn noticed, loving her sleepy face.
"Yeah I kind of am, especially being in this comfortable bed" Nova joked, using one hand to rub her eyes.
"Well we won't keep you too long but we just want to say goodnight and we love you so much, alright, baby?"
Liam spoke, smiling with the most fondness at his girl on the phone.
"I love you too, I guess we'll call and see you tomorrow"
Nova smiled, staring back at the men with a warm expression.
