SHIT TODAY'S FRIDAY Hoseok mentally screamed at himself, swinging his legs over his bed as his body was instantly met with the cold morning air pricking at his skin, causing small goosebumps to run along his arms and legs. At that moment he wanted nothing more than to jump right back into the comforts of his own bed with the ten fuzzy warm blankets all piled on top of it, the desire to become the human embodiment of a toasted marshmallow.

Letting out a sigh, he reluctantly picked out a random hoodie and pair of sweatpants, not really at all caring for his appearance today. He slipped those on as quickly as possible before taking care of his hygiene and rushing downstairs.

It wasn't like he was desperate to go to school today, in fact, that was quite the opposite of what he was actually feeling. But the clock on his bedside table had read the time of '7:30' only giving him twenty minutes to get ready and walk the distance to their school with Taehyung.

Plus, nervousness pumped through his entire body since today was the day where him, Jimin, and Taehyung were all apparently going to 'talk about something top secret' after school, as they called it.

Hoseok was still confused as to what in the world they were referring to and why it was top secret, but he just went along with it and decided to save those questions until the moment actually came.

Which was in another nine hours or so, since there was an addiction all dance practice after school.

"What took you so long?" Dawon inquired with a snarky tone, impatiently tapping her foot against the welcome mat as she waited for her brother who was hastily tying up his sneakers.

"Woke up late," he mumbled, not really in the mood to deal with his younger sister at the moment.

And thankfully, Dawon didn't want to either as she just pulled the drawstrings of her hoodie all the way until it covered her entire face. A light laugh slipped from Hoseok's lips at the action, before he just playfully rolled his eyes and took his sister by the wrist before leading them both outside to where Taehyung and Eon Jin were already waiting for them.

"There's our favorite siblings!" Taehyung chirped rather brightly, swinging an arm around Hoseok's slumped shoulders.

"Hey Tae," he yawned in response, eyes still droopy from only waking up just minutes before.

Taehyung eyed his friend beside him questionably, "You're more tired than usual, why's that?"

"Ah," Hoseok sighed, rubbing his eyelids before mumbling a sluggish, "just woke up late, no biggie."

Nodding at this, Taehyung snuck a glance down towards his friend's shoes, noticing the mis matched socks peeking through the slits of his sneakers.

"Nice socks."

Hoseok widened his eyes in embarrassment, cheeks heating up at the comment and praying to god that no one at school would notice his Disney Princess socks.

Which still baffled him, since he hasn't even realized that he slipped those on his feet in the morning. But apparently his mind was much too frazzled to notice it, and there was nothing he could do about it now except deal with the humiliation that would come following afterwards.

"Ughhhhhhhh," he groaned, slapping himself in the face as Taehyung just shook his head at his friends' foolishness.

"I mean those socks are kinda fire-" Taehyung tried to argue, before quickly being shut up by a very frightening glare from his friend that made his whole body tremble in fear.

So the rest of the way he made the decision not to tease Hoseok about it, which the elder was very content about being as he really did not want to deal with that type of tormenting so early in the morning.

Instead, Taehyung brought up something else.

Something else that couldn't help send nervous tingles down Hoseok's spine, the boy biting down on his lip anxiously as his eyes averted down towards the snow covered ground beneath them.

"You excited for tonight?" Taehyung giggled to himself, except it wasn't the normal bubbly or lighthearted giggles that made everyone's hearts combust with fondness. As opposed to the type of feathery laughs Hoseok was used to from Taehyung, the giggles came out more as evil and mischievous than anything.

And that terrified him.

"What are you two little shits planning?" Hoseok seethed, leaving Taehyung a giggling mess as he just settled with flashing his friend a boxy smile not even bothering to respond.

Mumbling incoherent swears under his breath, Hoseok just attempted at calming himself by inhaling and exhaling deeply, a relaxing technique he had learned a while ago to use when his nerves got out of hand.

Thankfully, it worked well enough to make him forget about his friends' skeptical behavior and the sketchy meet up later, with a new conversation topic coming afloat soon afterwards.

He was just hoping that it wasn't as bad as he was making it out to be.

"Jimin just wait for me outside I'm gonna practice a bit more, okay?" Hoseok panted heavily, still obtaining his breath before continuing the choreography and exercising his body to the climax.

"Hobi-, you really shouldn't -" but it was no use arguing, since Hoseok already beat him to it and help up a hand in front of his friend as a signal to stop, "It'll only be a couple more minutes, Min. I promise I'll stop when it gets too hard to continue."

Sighing, Jimin just nodded meekly as Hoseok sent him a weak smile, the younger turning around and heading out the studio door probably just to play on his phone in the lobby until his friend was finished up.

Before starting, Hoseok hit play on his Spotify playlist and raised the volume to the top bar, ensuring that the enthusiast and upbeat music would put him in the right mindset and boost his energy to the maximum.

Which thankfully, it did.

So, the boy danced.

You'd assume that by attending the same high school for three years in a row, a Junior would know his way through the hallways by now, regardless of how many confusing twists and turns there were.

However, Min Yoongi defended himself by arguing that his phone had distracted him from where he was supposed to be heading.

*cough cough Minecraft*

To be fair, Minecraft was quite time consuming and addictive, plus with his mind all hazy and restless from basketball practice, it wasn't too shocking that he was kind of out of it.

But what caught him more off guard was when he heard music playing from a nearby room.

With his curiosity taking over, he followed the more hype tunes of pop music as his feet subconsciously glided him along the marbled floor.

"How the fuck did I end up in the performing arts and music hallway?" Yoongi whisper-scolded himself, though despite having an actual place to be, his mind just told him to keep following the trail of music.

Like an unknown gravitational force pulling him towards it on purpose, almost as if he was meant to be there for whatever reason.

He didn't know why he kept following it, but there was something so entrancing about the song playing even though it was on the opposite spectrum of his own music taste.

But regardless, he followed his gut instinct and slowly crept up to where his heart was picking up its pace, only for his whole entire body to go stiff.

The music led him to the dance room.

Where Jung Hoseok was dancing his heart out, his body moving perfectly to every beat as he glided smoothly along the dance floor as if no one was watching him.

And really, no one was watching him until Yoongi was somehow led there by fate, the red string once again coming in clutch and pulling the two together even though they were once on opposite sides of the building.

But watching Hoseok spin, leap, shuffle, and move his bodies in inhumane ways was too addicting to not stare at.

Yoongi was shocked.

Of course, he heard stories about how extremely good and talented Hoseok was at dancing, especially in the hip hop and street dance category, but he would've never thought he was that good.

It was like watching a professional dancer that your parents would pay a couple hundred dollars to see at a prestigious ballet, only better.

At least in Yoongi's eyes where he already viewed Hoseok extremely highly.

But anyone else would agree with him.

You know, someone who didn't have a crush on Hoseok.

But if that was only a tiny snippet of the seven minute choreography, then what in the hell would a full on dance performance look like?

Yoongi nearly fainted at the thought of it.

He didn't even realize he was staring until Hoseok locked eyes with him from outside of the dance studio window, stopping the music before slowly approaching Yoongi.

"What brings you here?" Hoseok chuckled lightly to himself, Yoongi flushing with embarrassment since it probably came off as really creepy that he was just casually watching Hoseok dance.

"I- sorry, I took a wrong turn. I'll get going-" Yoongi stumbled, only for Hoseok to grab his hand and pull him inside before closing the studio door behind him.

Which took Yoongi off guard completely, his mind now swarming with a billion questions as to what Hoseok was doing.

"Wha-"

"You should stay!" Hoseok chirped, and before Yoongi could protest he dragged the elder out into the middle of the dance practice room, the two now glancing at themselves in the crystal clear mirror in front of them.

Honestly, Hoseok didn't really know why he insisted on Yoongi saying, it was as if his mouth was speaking for him before his brain could think twice about it.

But neither of them really complained, since they'd take advantage of any extra minute they spent together with any change they got.

But what caught Yoongi even more off guard was when Hoseok placed his delicate hand around his waist, his other hand scrolling through his Spotify before clicking shuffle on a random playlist.

"W-what are you doing?" Yoongi stammered, his heart now aggressively thumping against his chest at the unexpected contact between the two, his backpack long forgotten by the dance studio door by Hoseok's doing.

"Teaching you how to dance!"

"Hoseok, I can't dance," Yoongi chuckled, finding it ridiculous how this random idea somehow popped up in Hoseok's head but just went along with it since arguing certainly wasn't going to do anything.

"Sure you can, just follow my lead," Hoseok laughed, throwing his head back in merriment before locking gazes with Yoongi once again.

He wasn't sure how he hadn't noticed it before, but wow were Yoongi's eyes gorgeous.

Dark chocolate swirls mixed in with golden flakes danced along his irises in a simply captivating cascade that Hoseok found nearly impossible to tear his eyes away from.

Sure, he knew Yoongi had brown eyes, but he never really took in the tiny details that made up that beautiful mahogany ocean that stared right back at him with almost just as much affection.

In fact, Yoongi's entire face was the epitome of perfection; with his dainty nose and cat-like eyes. Everything about him was just so delicate that Hoseok was sure if anyone even so laid a finger on him, he would crack.

Like a butterfly's wing.

Snapping out of his daze with a light blush coating his cheeks, Hoseok spoke up, "Just put your hands on my shoulders and when I hold your pinky above my hand spin around in a circle," he instructed, which Yoongi just quirked an eyebrow at.

"Like a slow dance?" He inquired, his face painting an expression of pure disbelief that his crush was basically asking him to slow dance with him.

What a time to be alive.

"Basically, I may throw in some jazz moves or something but just kinda go with it."

"Okayyy.." Yoongi hesitantly trailed off, still confused as to why Hoseok had asked him to do this in the first place, but he couldn't exactly miss up the opportunity to do so.

Plus, it did seem a bit fun to partake in.

So with that said, the two boys started off by slowly swaying their bodies to the music, both completely lost in one another's stares that made them turn their heads away with utter embarrassment flushing their faces.

But both noticed each other's blush, and both found it as equally adorable despite the humiliation blazing up inside both of their bodies at their reactions.

Neither of them really questioned it though, nor spiral into an doubtful wormhole of thoughts regarding the entire thing.

Not one drop of fear, regret, or anxiousness coursed through their veins in that utterly blissful moment where it was just them dancing as huge smiles played at their lips, creasing their eyes into little crescents.

They just focused on the present moment, not really caring for anything else other than the music playing in the background out of Hoseok's phone speakers, or for the way he twirled the elder in a circle occasionally amidst their steady movements.

Somewhere in the mix, Hoseok threw in some spunky dance moves which never failed to make Yoongi burst out laughing and full the overhead atmosphere with a sense of euphoria.

And even though Hoseok merely did it as a joke and just to poke some fun into his day, he couldn't help but think that there was an underlying purpose as to why he really did it.

Maybe he was crazy, with the way a deep red settled on his cheeks just at the sight of his best friend moving along to the rhythmic lyrics, or with the way they both longing gazed into one another's pretty brown eyes as if searching for any sign of..

No.

It couldn't be.

But then, how could he deny it?

That if only one of the two boys in the room reciprocated feelings for the other, then why were there two beating hearts and not just one thumping against their chests so loudly that they were just positive the other could hear it.

If Hoseok didn't like Yoongi, and their whole friendship was supposedly just a one way crush, then why were there a trillion tiny butterflies fluttering around in his stomach and nipping at his insides almost as a sign of telling him, that he reciprocated those same feelings as well?

And it was in that moment, in that moment where two best friends were wrapped in one another's arms and slowly rocking between each foot to create this fluid and unison movement somewhat resembling an ocean's tide, that Hoseok's eyes sparked with realization.

Realization that he liked Min Yoongi.
