From Mr. Martinez:
Lets meet at Martinez Hotel, I am checking something there at Nine so lets have our lunch there. Btw, I'll be wearing red mask, shades and a blue cap, when you see me don't call me by my name, call me baby instead. 😉
Kung hindi lang talaga isa sa mga importanteng tao ang taong ito ay di ko ito sisiputin, hell, I wouldn't even read his text. Umiling nalang ako at nilagay na ang cellphone ko sa upuan ng front seat kung saan ko din nilagay ang crotch bag, bago ko pinaandar ang sasakyan.
I received his message at seven pero ngayon ko lang binasa dahil nakipaglaro ako sa anak ni kuya, kay nic at braxten. Sa totoo lang minsan ay naisip koy sana si lyean nalang at light ang nagkatuluyan, but I know light loves byre and I don't have the rights to stop him from loving the girl he truly loves.
Kuya became a mess because of ate mes, he cried and beg, I saw how he became hell when ate mes left him, and how he became happy, jealous, possessive and obsess over his wife. At sa nakikita ko kay Light, kahit pa di siya umiiyak alam Kong nasasaktan siya at handang gawin ang lahat para mapasakaniya ang babaeng nagngangalang byre. Si papa din, minsang naikwento ni mama na kinidnap pa siya ni papa, binantaan, at parang baliw kung makasigurong siya lang ang lalaki sa buhay ni mama. I guess our family will be crazy when inlove. I wonder If I'll be like them too, will I become a love beggar? Will I be possessive and obsess?
Napangiwi nalang ako. I already cried over someone I love, so no need to ask, I'll surely will be like my brothers and father, baka nga mas malala pa.
Ng makarating ako sa hotel ay di ko mapigilang mamangha sa chandelier nila. Its bigger than Light's chandelier in his hotel. Pero iyon lang ang nagandahan ko sa hotel na ito, not that I boost too much but Its not bad to be honest, our hotels including Light's hotel are far better from any hotels I've known.
"Any reservation maam?"
"I am here to meet the CEO of Martinez Empire." Seryoso kong saad.
Saglit pang natigilan ang babae, i don't know why. "Hindi pa po kailanman nakakatungtong dito si sir Rexzel. Pero sana nga po pumunta. " kinikilig na sabi ng receptionist.
And now I remember his text. "Do you know why?"
"Anong why po maam?"
"Why he didn't showed up, ever?"
"Ay si maam, hindi updated. Artista si sir Rexzel sa US, pero kahit pa dito ay sikat na sikat siya, ang gwapo po niya, sobrang macho, at mabango-"
"I thought he never showed up?"
"Ay oo nga po, pero ang sabi ng nag-interview sa kaniya maam, mabango daw."
Tumango tango nalang ako habang nakikinig sa kwento niya patungkol kay Rexzel. This Rexzel guy is something. I will tell my private investigator to know his real identity. Alam kong nagmumukha akong tsismosa, but I need to know him more.
My phone vibrated from my bag so I excused myself and answered the call. Its the famous guy. "Yes?"
"Looks like your having fun with my receptionist. " sa himig ng tono niya ay nakangiti ito ngayon.
Nilibot ko ang paningin ko sa paligid, my eyes stopped at the man who is leaning on the wall, wearing red mask, shade and a blue cap while looking at my direction. His black thick jacket made him look suspicious.
"Nah, just asking her some stuffs." I said, trying to speak more nice.
He chuckled. "I'll lead the way, you follow me, is that fine?"
"Yeah, sure." Hassle.
"By the way, will be talking with my lawyer."
"Your lawyer?" I said with a hint of suspicion to my voice.
"Yeah, don't worry, he'll be quiet the whole talk. May usapan kasi kaming magkita this lunch and I forgot about it when I told your secretary about our lunch so I hope you dont mind." Sabi niya na halatang ginagawa ang lahat para pumayag ako.
"I don't mind at all." Pasalamt kat hindi pwedeng mag back out ang companya niyo.
"Right. Remember what I texted you, please don't call me with my name. Baby would do." Sabi niya at pinatay na ang tawag.
Kung ibang tao lang talaga siya ay kanina ko pa tinapon sa kaniya ang cellphone. No one dares to end the call while I didn't say you will! At mas gusto kong ako ang pumapatay keysa sa ang katawag ko! Kinalma ko ang sarili ko bago siya sinundan.
We entered the hotels restaurant. Ng makapasok ako ay nakaagaw kaagad ako ng pansin maging ang taong nasa unahan ko.
"He's tall like the famous Rexzel."
"Yeah, and the way he walks reminds me of Rexzel."
"This hotel are their's right?"
"He is so damn rich. I heard that he is also a CEO, that's why he come home here sa Philippines kasi gusto ng dad niya na siya ang magtake-over sa business nila."
"The girl in a yellow dress is hot."
"Damn she looks pretty with her dress."
"Simple yet beautiful. "
Lihim akong napangiwi dahil sa mga narinig. For all I know, all they want from me is my body and they'll be cold dead before they laid a hand on me.
"Sorry to keep you waiting Fraser, by the way this is Beauty Lin Ashley, my date for this lunch."
Shock is an understatement to describe what I feel. Rogue is Rexzel's lawyer? Kung ganoon ay tama ako na naghihigante lang siya? He is such a jerk! Ang lakas la ng loob niyang sabihin sa akin na hindi siya papayag na hindi siya ang maging family lawyer namin.
Pinanood ko syang tumayo mula sa pagkaka-upo niya at lumapit sa akin. And my heart is always updated whenever he is around, its beating wilder as he took a step forward.
"Nice to meet you Miss Ashley. " pormal na bati niya at inilahad sa akin ang kaniyang kamay. "I am Atty. Rogue Fraser Untal, you can call me Rogue."
Di ko mapigilang mapataas ng kilay. And now he is acting like we don't know each other?
"I dont do handshakes. I am Beauty Lin Ashley, call me Beauty. "
Halatang namangha si Rexzel dahil sa ginawa ko habang si Rogue ay napakunot noo.
"Ok guys, lets take our seats now, we are getting too much attention. "
Pinaghila ako ng upuan ni Rexzel kaya nagpasalamat ako habang nakangiti, he smiled back and even wink at me. And when I look at Rogue he is looking at me sharply, masama niya akong tiningnan na para bang nagtaksil ako sa kaniya ng harap harapan. I just raised my eyebrow and pick the menu.
May lumapit sa aming mga waiter para kunin ang mga orders namin, I only ordered carbonara and lemon juice.
"I want to know your comment about our hotel, Beauty." Panimula ni Rexzel.
"Hindi ko pa nakita ang kabuuan ng hotel so I don't know what to say yet." Sabi ko nalang.
Ngumiti siya at tumango. "Maybe you wanna walk around? I'll tour you."
"We still need to talk." Sabat ni Rogue
Tumango naman si Rexzel at mukhang natauhan. "After the talk then."
"We need to discuss a lot of things, and I suggest you miss Ashley to have someone else to tour you around, maybe with lady staff of this hotel. " sabat ulit ni Rogue habang nakatingin sa akin na para bang binabantaan ako.
Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay at pasimpleng inirapan bago hinarap si Rexzel. Halatang disappointed si Rexzel dahil sa sinabi ni Rogue kaya naman naging pilit ang ngiti niya. "He is right, I got a lot of things to do for this day."
"No worries there's always a next time. Maybe this coming Sunday, can you tour me this weekend? Are you free?"
Kitang kita ko sa gilid ng mga mata ko kung paano umigting ang panga ni Rogue dahil sa sinabi ko, but I just smile at Rexzel sweetly.
"Sure." Masayang sabi niya, bakas na bakas ang pagkasaya niya at pagkasabik.
I chuckled pretending to be amused by his reaction, pero ang totoo ay dahil sa reaksyon ni Rogue na di ko malaman ang dahilan kung bakit parang galit na galit siya sa akin.
Rexzel phone's rang so he needed to excuse himself and answer the call, naiwan kami ni Rogue, buti nalang ag dumating na ang mga pagkaing order namin, dahil kung hindi ay baka mas awkward pa ang sitwasyon namin ngayon. I badly want to yell at him, gusto kong ipamukha sa kaniya na traydor siya pero pinipigilan ko lang ang sarili ko.
"Date, huh?" Biglang pasinghal na sabi ni Rogue kaya di ko maiwasang di mapatingin sa kaniya.
He is looking at me like the idea of me having a date with Rexzel is the mosy gross thing he ever heard.
"So what?" Di ko mapigilan ang pagtataray ko.
"And you even gave him an idea of touring you around this hotel? And you even fucking choose sunday."
Tumigil ako sa pagkain at binaba ang tinidor na hawak ko. I looked at him straight into his eyes with irritation.
"And why does it concern you that much? Look, traydor ka at nagpipigil lang ako ngayon sa galit ko so dont push me to my limits. And what's with the sunday thing at mukhang apektadong apekatdo kang lingo ang napili ko, huh?"
"You don't remember?" Disappointed niyang sabi.
Itinirik ko ang mga mata ko dahil sa pagkairita. "Will I fucking ask you If I already knew, hmm?"
Nangunot ang noo niya at napatitig sa labi ko. "We really need to do something about your mouth."
Binalewala ko ang pagwawala ng paru-paru sa tiyan ko at inirapan siya ulit.
"Oh please, wag mong iisiping may magagawa ka pa, because this will be our last meeting, I am sure that if Light and kuya will found out that your a traitor, they will surely fire you and I will be finally, happy."
"Your brothers knew that I am Rexzel's lawyer. In fact Your older brother suggested me to Rexzel. "
Si kuya? Nangunot ang noo ko."Kuya send you to be a spy?"
He just shrugged and took a sip of his coffee before lending me some calling card. "That's my number."
Napa-irap nanaman ako.
"Do I look like Interested with your number?" Sabi ko habang umaarteng diring diri habang hawak hawak ang calling card niya.
Just like the last time that I thought He'll be mad or be irritated because of the way I act, He bite his lower lip to stop his lips from smiling but he failed cause he is now smiling, and looking at me with amusement.
"It's just unfair for you." Bago pa man ako makapagsalita ay inunahan na niya ako. "Because I have your number but you dont have mine." He said while grinning from ear to ear.
And I think my heart just died. And the cause? Too fast heartbeats.
