I woke up to the feeling of sunlight. I missed this. I felt luckys head nudge me telling me to move my arse.
"Okay girl" I mumble sitting up and hoping over the truck with her following as I grab my cloth of the side. Throwing them on and Daryl vest to the side as I begin my walk up to the house.
"Want breakfast?" I ask her as we enter the house.
"Morning Thea" carol says and I nod to her.
"Come on lucky!" I shout as she stares out the door. Quickly she moves and I throw a dog can into the air before opening it and pouring our it's remains.
"Thea can we talk about yesterday?" Carol asks walking to me. I nod slightly.
"I didn't send Daryl after you. And I ju- are you alright?" She asks suddenly. I nod.
"No your not. Did Daryl do something? I swear I will-"
"We just argued" I say quietly watching lucky eat.
"What did he say?"
"It's nothing, I'm going hunting" I say turn to walk out before I feel carol grab my arm and drag me threw the house.
"What are you doing?" I ask her not fighting back.
"Imma make the kids play nice" she says angerlly as I notice we're approaching daryls tent.
"No just leave it" I say loudly as i rip my arm out her grasp.
"Why do you even care? Actually don't answer. I'm going" I say quickly as I start to walk over to my truck.
Climbing in I grab my cigarettes and lighter before grabbing my bow and arrows that I manage to get back yesterday.
"I'm going hunting" I shout up to Andrea. She nods and I set myself to the forest.
I spent the day in the woods and manage to catch a deer. I'm just making it up the field with the deer on my back now.
"Want some help?" I hear behind me and see Glenn approach me.
"Yes please" I say as he grabs two legs and I grab the other two.
After we easily made it up the hill to the group.
"Nice kill" Rick says proudly and I nod.
"Tomorrow I'm gonna be going to drop the kid of at a school. Would you like to come with me?" He asks and I shake my head.
"Alright I'll ask Shane then. No worries" he says walking off.
Imma going on a run tomorrow i think to myself as I make my way over to Lori to ask if she wants anything.
"No thank you Thea" she says smiling as I decide to go back to the truck.
"Thea" I hear over the truck.
"Hey little man" I say seeing Carl.
"I heard what you a carol were talking about yesterday" he blurts out.
"Don't worry I won't tell anyone but Do you wanna talk about it?" He asks jumping up on my wheel.
"No last time I talk to some one about it, I ended up loosing my friend and snapping at the other" I say putting a hand over my face.
"Oh yeah I'm going on a run tomorrow. Would you like anything?" I ask changing the subject.
"Um if you find any chocolate can I have it?" He asks quietly.
"Sure kiddo" I say laying back down
"THEA!" I hear carol yell.
"Oh god moms calling" I say sarcastically and make Carl laugh.
Eventually I end up walking Carl back to the main area so he can get some food. I sit down and slowly Carol walks over and stops infront of me.
"Eat" she says shoving a bowl at me.
"No appetite sorry" I say placing the bowl down.
"Thea... Can you take this to Daryl?" She asks handing me a bowl.
"Why me?" I ask pissed.
"Cause your not eating" she says and I glance around to see everyone eating except me.
"Fine" I say scooping up the bowl and walking over to his tent.
"Hey asshole I brought food!" I yell into his tent as I place the food infront of it.
"It's outside if you want it" I say beginning to walk away before a hand grabs my wrist.
"Let go" i mumble.
"No I want to say sorry" he says turning me around.
"You just did. Now let go!"
"Only if you move back in here" he says pointing at his tent.
"No" I say and pull my arm only for a pair of handcuffs get thrown on me.
"What the hell?" I ask before noticing the other side was attached to his wrist.
"Now let's get your bags" he says dragging me towards my truck.
"Why are you even bothered about the tent?" I ask as we stompimg to the truck.
"I'm not. It's just proof that you ain't forgiven me" he says dragging me down.
I grabbed my bag and start our way back. Half way their I open my bag and grab my cigarettes. Lighting one as lift it to my mouth.
"Since when'd you smoke?" Daryl asks turn back to me.
"I quit two years ago. Started one day ago" I say puffing in before it's snatched from me.
"Hey what the hell?" I yell.
"Ya started cause of me and ya gonna stop cause of me" he says crushing it under his boot and grabbing the pack from my bag. I give up.
"Daryl?" I hear carols voice.
"Do you know where Thea is?"
"Yes I'm being held captive by this clotpole" I yell in anger.
"Oh shut up woman!" Daryl whisper yells.
"No you!" I say back.
"Oh I'm sorry silver spoon" he says louder.
"Oh so this is how you apologise"
"I don't have a choice carol said she'd shoot me if I don't"
"In that case" I say grabbing a bobby pin and fiddling with the lock.
"She can't blame you if I don't except it" I say as it clicks and I jump out the tent.
"SHIT THEA WAIT!" He yells after me and I watch rick and Shane return with the kid.
"Fuck off!!" I yell back to Daryl as I made my way to my truck with carol trying to make me turn back.
In the last few hours I counted 7 people come up to me and try to talk to me. With each i pretended to be asleep and they left pretty soon.
I decided not to go on my run and ended up give Carl my spare chocolate bar out of guilt.
I quietly eat a bowl of soup in my truck as I see Maggie walk over.
"Thea! Please talk to us." Maggie begs.
"I'm fine theirs nothing to talk about" I say shrugging my shoulders.
"No your n-" she started but was cut off by gun shots.
Quietly we make our way out to see the group kneeling with their hands up and weapons on the floor. I look over to the men and instantly see Carl with a gun to his head.
"Their she is" I hear the man sing.
I feel my body stiffens at the sight.
"Oh my god Thea is that-"
"SHUT UP!!" My father yells.
"Don't hurt him" I beg signally to Carl.
"Oh of course not. Unless some one does something"
"Thea do you know him?" Rick questions with pain and worry in his eyes.
"How about a deal?" I ask father and his eyes light up as I put my hands above my head.
"Me for the kid and your group leaves this place no harm done" I say looking across the men.
"THEA N-" Beth starts.
"SHUT UP" he yells again.
"It's a deal" he says throwing Carl over to rick. I walk over to father and stand in-front of him. He stares into my eyes for a second before punching me in the side of the face. Sending me down to the floor.
"Get up! And walk" he says pointing to the woods. I nod and begin walking only to be interrupted by a gun shot. I turn and see Rick with a gun. I grab my fathers gun and shoot the rest of the line.
In seconds I'm standing in a line of dead bodies.
"THEA" I hear hershel scream to me snapping me out of my gaze on my father body.
"Thank god he didn't take you again" he says hugging me.
"What do you mean again?" Rick asks approaching us.
"You can tell them" I tell hershel as I move to the a man pulling his masks off and announcing his name:
"Steve"
"What?"
"His names Steve" I say moving to the next body:
"Shawn" I say moving to the next:
"Luise"
"Jack" I says and the last one coughs next to me. Softly I pull of his hood and see Kieran
"Kieran" I announce crouching next to him.
"I'm s-sorry" he whispers before he goes lifeless.
"Hershel can you explain this now?" Rick asks confused. I look at the ground.
"That" he says points to father
"Is Thea's dad, Jonathan" he announces.
I sit silent for a second before standing up and beginning to walk off.
"Where you going?" Maggie shouts after me.
"Anywhere but here!" I yell back as I walk towards the woods with the lake in mind.
I end up coming back the next day early in the morning.
"Thea" I hear as Carl runs up to me wrapping my leg in his arms.
"I wanted to thank you for yesterday. Even though you knew he was a bad guy you swapped yourself for me" he mumbles into my leg.
"It's okay" I say almost silently.
"Come on, everyone's worried" he says leading me up the hill.
"-at are we gonna do?" I hear Lori ask.
"I don't know she probably just needs time. She strong she'll come back. But when she does we treat her like we always have, simple"
"Not really" I hear a southern accent jumps in.
"The day before we had an argument and I said some stuff to do with her being a brat. I didn't mean it"
"Just apologise already!" I hear carol groan.
"I don't know how to" he growls after a couple seconds.
"Don't worry you don't need too. It's fine really" I say walking around the corner and nodding towards Daryl.
"It's good to see you back" rick says smiling and I smile back to him.
"I can't leave. I made a promise" I say glancing down to Carl.
"Good well it looks like you haven't slept last night. You should get some sleep" rick says still smiling as I walk towards my truck.
"Where ya going?" Daryl yells after me.
"To bed" I say pointing to the truck.
"Beds that way" he says pointing to his tent. I rub a hand down my face in instant defeat.
"Fine" I mumble slouching on the way over to the tent.
"THEA wake up!" Carol screams raised me from my slumber.
"What's wro-" I stop as I look out the tent to see a horde of walkers.
"Go to the house and get in a car. If I don't don't meet you drive okay?" She nods as i grab my bag and bow.
I begin to run to the farm house before a walker throws himself onto me. Swiftly I stick my hands up stopping him from biting down on me. My knife. Where is it? I ask myself as the teeth get closer.
With one swift movement and a lot of energy I mange to flip us over so I'm onto of him. Quickly I bring my boot up grabbing my knife and stab him in the head. Without a break I haul myself up and charge to the barn
"RICK?" I yell surprised as I reach my destination.
"Thea get up there now!" He yells while tipping gasoline on the floor.
I manage to climb up and find Carl up their worth a lighter ready. I nod to him and he return the movement.
"Now Carl!" Rick yells as he climbs the ladder.
As he says that the barn lights aflame and the sound of gunshot from outside echo through.
"Here" I say pointing to a window as jimmy drives round in the RV.
"Over here!"we waved to jimmy making him pull over next to us. Once he does me and rick leap to the roof and rick helps Carl jump.
Seconds later jimmys screams erupt into the night as he's torn to pieces.
"This way" I say jumping down the ladder followed by rick and Carl. Instantly down I being shooting all that's close as rick help Carl.
"Run!" Rick yells as we charge up the hill.
Bang! I shoot the walker creeping up on hershel before he could take a bite.
"We need to move!" Rick says harshly to Hershel.
"Guys we need to go now!" I shout as hershel tries to stay with his farm.
"We need to find Lori and the others. Come on!" Rick shouts dragging hershel with him.
"But it's my farm!" Hershel shouts in anger.
"Not anymore!" I shout making hershel give into Rick.
I jump into my truck bed and throw rick the keys. As soon as he starts the engine I direct my attention to shooting the dead closing in.
