A mother bird tends to her young
They cry out in their nest
The nest sits in a tree
The tree stands in a field
A field of poppies
The red stretches as far as the eye
The eyes sees into blue sky
The sky towers above all bellow
But not the earth
The earth floats in endless space
The sun gives light
All the cosmos shines
Beyond our very dreams
A baby bird cries for her mother
Soon she will fly
