Y/n:(throws his arms up)well, we tried everything!
team RWBY along with y/n was walking down the streets of Argus, searching for the lost boy. They've been out for hours, and no were close to finding him. They looked around to see the streets packed with all sorts of people, going about their day. Charlie rushes over from taking care of qrow.
Charlie: Hey, I just got your message, what's going on?
Blake: Oscar just disappears, and we have no idea where can he be.
Charlie: but this city's enormous, he could've gone anywhere.
Yang: couldn't you guys just use your wings to see him from above?
Y/n: our wings haven't finished recovering yet, so we're stuck on the ground.
Ruby: what else can we do?
Weiss; I don't know, but if we keep standing around he'll be out of the Argus before we know it.
Charlie: he'll be too far for us to even do anything.
Y/n: if there was a way to keep him still for a few seconds then we can——(remember) oohhhhh
Team rwby blankly stares at the two celestial
Blake: did they just remember one of them can stop time?
Yang: at this point, I'm not even surprised...
Y/n: well, we'll see you later.
Ruby: wait—-
Before she could continue, time stopped around them only leaving y/n and Charlie.
Y/n: yeah take that!
Charlie: having fun?
Y/n: a little, but back to being serious. He can be anywhere so you have any clues to where he can be at?
Charlie: hmmm, we could track his aura level.
Y/n: I already tried, there were too many people moving for me to get a pinpoint.
Charlie: we could track ozpin aura.
Y/n: it'll be weak, but it could work since it going to be different than the others.
Charlie:(close his eyes) okay....., I'm sensing something over there.
He points to the direction where Oscar might be.
Y/n: lead the way, dear cousin.
Charlie begins to walk to their destination, after passing through a bunch of shops that were selling a lot of interesting items, Y/n decided to take a look at one of them, after looking around for a bit he found a light blue diamond necklace. he quickly grabs it putting it in his pocket, he turns back around to see his cousin staring him down
Charlie: Are you seriously going to steal that?
Y/n: well it's more like borrowing, besides he probably stoled it first so no hard feeling, right?
Charlie(sighs); I guess not, are you going to give that to Weiss?
Y/n: yeah, her birthday is around the corner so I was thinking of giving this to her, to thank her for dealing with me for the longest.
Charlie: you know I think she might want something more than that necklace. (grows a smug look)
Y/n: ha... ha funny. ( throws Charlie a box, walking past him) I wouldn't be talking either...
Charlie opens the box to see a ring that y/n also "borrowed", he quickly closes it, turning back around to follow his cousin.
Charlie:(embarrass)hey! What are you trying to say!?
Y/n just laughs at his cousin's embarrassment. After a while, they were standing next to Oscar who looks to have been running before the time stop.
Y/n: so we found him, and by the new get-up he was probably spoiling himself.
Charlie: but... um with what money? the team is broke.
Y/n grabs a wallet that was in Oscar's pocket.
Y/n: it appears it was (opens it) MINE!!! Oh, you son of a bitch....
Charlie tries to contain his laughter.
Y/n: you think this is funny?
Charlie: no, I find it hilarious! (He breaks down laughing)
Y/n:(growls at Charlie) whatever! (Grabs Oscar by the back of his shirt) just resume time.
Charlie was still losing it but did as told everything started to move again, oscar was about to run off again but was suddenly pull back. He turns around to see y/n there holding onto him with a not so happy expression on his face.
Y/n: hey Oscar, I see you were treating yourself nicely...
Oscar: (Nervous) he...hey y/n.... haha, your not mad right?
Y/n; no I'm not mad..... I'm fuckin livid...
Charlie: calm down y/n, he probably didn't spend much, right oscar how much was it?
Oscar: umm, hehe, it was around 10000...
Charlie: Oh my...
Y/n: WHAT!!
Oscar: sorry! I wasn't paying attention to the price tag... believe me!
Y/n:(sighs as he let him go) you know what I'm not mad... I'm not.... just good to see that you're not out of Argus or got kidnapped, which I wouldn't mind. (gives him a death stares)
Oscar:(scared) ye...yeah, by the way, how did you guys find me?
Charlie: time stop.
Oscar:(gets it) oh...
Charlie: but why run off without saying a word? The others are worried sick.
Oscar: Sorry I just needed some time to myself.
Y/n: and you're good now?
Oscar: (nods) Yeah, I think I have it all figured out.
Charlie: That's good to hear, now let's get going. I bet everyone will like the new look you used y/n money for. (y/n growls at both of them)
Oscar: Can you guys hold off on telling everyone?
Y/n: why?
Oscar: I want to make it up to everyone for worrying them.
Y/n: and this doesn't involve using my money again?
Oscar:(laughs) no.
Y/n:(sighs in relief) good...
Oscar; I already used it.
He moves to the side showing the 2 celestial the huge pile of grocery bags. Charlie starts to laugh again while y/n eyes started to twitch.
Time skip
Back at the Arc'Cotta house both y/n and Charlie helped Oscar with Dinner, not wanting to ruin the surprise Oscar told them if they can wait outside for the others, they both agree to do what was asked, now outside their were looking down at Qrow, he was passed out on the steps of the house.
Charlie:(worried) do you think he's dead?
Y/n:(poking him with a stick) c'mon do something...
They were rewarded with a mumbled groan from him.
Y/n: I can say that he's somewhat alive.
They hear the sound of footsteps approaching and it was the members of Team RWBY who all arrived at the house.
Yang: I've never seen him this bad.
Ruby: Come on, let's get him up.
The two sisters grab their uncle's arms and sit him up. Qrow groans and rubs his eyes.
Qrow: Why am I on the stairs?
Ruby: (Probably because of no one's home, Uncle Qrow. We've been out looking for Oscar.
Qrow: Oscar?
The group hears footsteps. They turn to see Jaune, Ren, Nora, as well as Saphron and Terra, who is holding Adrian in her arm, walking towards them. The two mothers look at Qrow.
Terra: (sarcastic) I'm sure this looks great to the neighbors.
Saphron lightly elbows her wife while Jaune and his teammates walked up to the group.
Ren: No luck?
Blake: No, you?
Ruby:(looks at y/n) what about you two?
Y/n; nothing, but a bunch of debt...
Charlie elbows him. Giving them a reassuring smile.
Jaune: Don't worry, we aren't going to Atlas without him.
Ruby: We?
The three Team JNPR members share a smile.
Jaune: (to Saphron) Sorry we won't be staying.
Saphron: (smirking) No you're not.
Terra: How about we get out of the cold?
Weiss: But what about Oscar?
Charlie: Well, about that.
the door to the house is opening. Everyone gasps in shock as a familiar voice is heard.
Oscar: Oh, I was wondering when you'd get back.
Oscar stands at the doorway.
Everyone: OSCAR!!
The "adults" watch in horror as everyone jumps in excitement at oscar, tackling him inside the house, Charlie, y/n, Terra and Saphron all share a laugh as y/n grabs qrow by his shirt throwing him inside.
Weiss: You had us worried sick!
Ruby: Are you okay?
Nora: (eyeing him head to toe) What are you wearing?
Y/n:(eyes narrow) yeah oscar.... what are you wearing...
Oscar: (smiles and rubs the back of his head) Uh.
Charlie: Alright everyone gives him some space.
Terra: Is something cooking?
Oscar: Oh, uh, yeah. I thought you guys would appreciate a hot meal after... spending all day looking for me, apparently.
Jaune: It's my fault we were all out there in the first place. Oscar, I am so sorry for earlier. I was way, way out of line, and what I said--
Oscar: No, it's okay. These past few days, I've been scared of the same things you were. I don't know how much longer I'm going to be... me. But I did some thinking, and I do know that I want to do everything I can to help with whatever time I have left.
Jaune: (smiles) Good. This team isn't the same without you, Oscar. And Y/n...
Y/n: what?
Jaune: I'm sorry for the way I was acting towards you, nothing I said is your fault...
Y/n: no You're right things happen because of me and I'm not going to avoid that, but I'm going to do whatever it takes to fix them, but I'm kinda sorry for what I said earlier.....
Jaune: so we're good?
Y/n: we're good.
Everyone shares a smile. Suddenly, a smoke alarm goes off.
Oscar: (gasps) The casserole!
Saphron: We're on it, chef.
Saphron and Terra step into the kitchen to take care of Oscar's cooking.
Ruby: Uh, combat gear looks good.
Ruby and Oscar share a smile. Then, the group notice Qrow walking up the stairs.
Ruby: (sternly) Where are you going now?
Qrow: I don't want to get in the way of your celebration.
Ruby: You've been gone all day! Just sit with us.
Qrow: (sighs) Look, Ruby, I'm glad you kids worked out, uh, whatever all that was. But the fact is, we're not a single step closer to Atlas.
Charlie: sad to say that he's right, without an idea we're Stuck here.
Jaune: Actually, I think I have an idea. But... it's sort of a "no-going-back" kind of idea.
Weiss: Why does this make me nervous.
Y/n: now, now he's stepping up. Maybe this plan will be a good one.
Jaune: With Cordo on watch, only Atlas airships have the clearance to leave for Solitas. So... we... steal an Atlas airship. (nervously shrugs at his last statement)
Y/n: I'll like to restate my statement.
Everyone gets shocked looks on their faces. Adrian giggles in Maria's arm.
Weiss: That's not just breaking the law. That's... that's definitely worse.
Yang: How would we even get onto the airfield?
Jaune: That part I haven't quite figured out yet. But I--
Qrow: Okay, stop. Just... stop! Look, if this thing goes south, it's not something we can just fight our way out of. This is the Atlas Military we're talking about. (sighs) For your sake, just drop this.
Y/n: wow talk about a downer....
Everyone looks down with discouraged looks on their faces. Ruby notices this and turns back to Qrow with a determined look on her face.
Ruby: I want to hear him out.
Qrow: Ruby...
Ruby: I want to hear him out! I know you're trying to protect us, that you're afraid we can't do it, but right now, I don't really care what you think!
Qrow gains a shocked expression upon hearing this.
Ruby: Just because you don't have an idea, doesn't mean we're out of options! Oz hasn't been here to tell us what to do, but we still managed to get this far anyway. We've been in bad situations before, and we don't need an adult to come save us or tell us what to do.
Y/n: um—
Charlie: let them have this one.....
Ruby: We just did it our way! And I say we do it our way. (everyone smiles) And if you think you can keep up with us "kids"... we'd be happy to have you.
Maria: (laughs) Looks like you didn't give her enough credit either.
Qrow doesn't say anything, he looks back to Ruby while she looks back at him determined. The scenery changes to Bakasura siting on a boulder, a shadowy figure appear behind him,
Bakasura: is everything ready?
???: yes, once they showed themselves we'll make our move.
Bakasura: good, you better not let me down Adam.
