Chapter One
Noelle
My eyes opened and i looked to the right to see a man laying in my bed, i looked at him as he peacefully slept. His dark brown hair matched his tanned skin tone, i couldn't see his eyes but i already knew they were perfect.
The memories from last night slowly came back, I'm not the type of girl to sleep with a random man. This man is the third person i have ever slept with, but he was the best person i ever slept with.
I stood up and grabbed my phone from my bedside table and i quickly rushed to the bathroom, i locked the door behind me and i quickly called my sister Emily.
"Hello" She answered straight away which i was grateful for, i sat on the toilet as my legs were shaking like crazy. "Noelle?"
"I slept with someone last night and now i don't know how to get rid of him" I told her and all i heard was laughter coming from her and her boyfriend.
"Elle you can't just get rid of him, maybe get his number" She encouraged me and i couldn't help but think it wouldn't be the worst thing.
"He is good looking" I smirked and Emily giggles.
"Girl go for it" She said.
"Okay, wish me good luck" I mumbled feeling out of my comfort zone already. I ended the call before she could answer, i stood up and looked at myself in the mirror. "You got this" I whispered to myself.
I opened the bathroom door and i walked back into my bedroom, i looked at the empty bed and at my floor where his clothes were five minutes ago. I searched my apartment and the door was still locked, he was no where to be found, my eyes caught the now open window to my apartment on the first floor.
I rolled my eyes at how awkward that is, who jumps out of a window instead of just going through the the front door.
Maybe it's because you were terrible in bed.
Could that really be it?
Not like you have much experience.
Still, i don't remember much but it couldn't have been that he had to jump out of the window to escape me. What other was there?
"Damn it" I mumbled to myself before taking myself back to bed.
I decided to call Emily again, she was always great at this stuff, she always has the best advice.
"How'd it go?" She questions getting straight to the point of the phone call.
"I got off the phone and he was gone" I responded and she sighed. "Not even the worst part-"
"What is?" She stopped me before i could explain.
"He went out the window, like the door was still locked from the inside, he fully went out the window" I said and she huffed and puffed.
"Girl get dressed, we're going for breakfast" She told me and rolled my eyes not feeling like it, but i knew better than to tell her that.
"Pick me up in twenty minutes?" I asked.
"Be there soon" She replied and i ended the call.
I got out of bed and i quickly made my bed, my day cannot start without a made bed, people who don't make their bed every morning scare me.
I walked over to my closet and grabbed an outfit for the day, i put on a white and black long polka dot skirt and a white tight crop top that was a little frilly on the ends, i completed the look with white sliders. My hair was naturally straight so i just left it after brushing it, i don't bother with makeup so i just left my face alone for today.
I got up and i saw a phone on my bedside table, it wasn't mine so that could only mean it was that mans phone. I grabbed it and turned it on, it had a passcode so i just put it in my my bedside table drawers.
My phone pinged and it was Em telling me she was outside, i grabbed my keys and a leather jacket and i left my apartment. I got in the car and put my seatbelt on straight away, my sister who is three years older than me stares at me with her brown eyes.
"Some got some D in their life last night" She chuckles at me and i hid my red face in embarrassment.
"Please stop" I begged and she laughed at me one more time and the car fell silent.
Emily was like my best friend, i have friends but none of them ever matched the level of friendship i had with my sister. She is definitely the prettier sister, she has mid length shiny brown hair and brown eyes that really glow in the sun.
"Where is Connor?" I asked referring to her boyfriend.
"He's at home, last minute piece of work that needs to be in by tonight" She shrugged her shoulders as she stopped at the lights. "Anyway, so what was he like?" She questioned.
"Em" I groaned and she giggled at me.
"Let yourself live Elle, you've taken life so seriously for the past twenty one years" She told me and i couldn't help but agree with her, i have taken it too seriously.
"Maybe" I mumbled.
A short journey later and we were now sat in our favourite cafe with our breakfast, i took a bite of my avocado on toast, it was a little overpowered by the pepper that i put on it.
I looked around the cafe and soon felt jealous of the couple sat beside me, they had a toddler sat in between them and a baby in a push chair beside them. They laughed and smiled the whole time, i couldn't help but wish i had that.
I need to calm down, I'm only twenty one.
"How many kids do you want?" I asked Em without even thinking, she looked at me confused because of my random question.
"Maybe one or two" She replied. "How many do you want?" She returned the question.
"I think four is a good number" I shrugged and she nodded her head at me while taking another bite. After taking the last bite i take a sip of my water and wipe my hands with the napkin.
"You never answered my question" She said and i furrowed my eyebrows at her. "What was he like?"
"Well he had brown hair, didn't get to see his eyes but he was tanned and from what i could of his body not bad" I told her and she smirked at me, i knew that she was already planning my wedding in her head.
"Sounds perfect for you" She smiled and i rolled my eyes at her. "Maybe he's your soulmate" She said and it took me by surprise, she never says these type of things.
"Since when do you believe in soulmates?" I asked and she shrugged.
"I don't know" She mumbled. "Why don't you date? Like what happened with Jake that ruined relationships for you" She questioned.
"Em, i mean it don't ever say his name" I muttered, i got up and grabbed my jacket and my bag. "I'm going to walk home, there's a shortcut I'll see you later" I told her before rushing away.
The walk home was short, my stomach was still turned by the thought of Jake's name. He was my my boyfriend for two years and i loved him so much, he was my whole life. I breathed for him, i lived for him and my heart beat for him.
It was only once i snapped back into reality that i noticed it was now raining really hard, i put my jacket on but it was pointless, i was already soaked.
The shortcut led me to the back entrance of my apartment complex, i opened the door and walked towards my apartment door, i unlocked the door with my key and close the door behind me.
I kicked my sliders off my feet and walked towards the kitchen when i heard a noise coming from the living room.
"Hello?" I called out walking towards the living room. I look at the window which was now open again, the tall man from last night stepped into my apartment.
"I'm not going to hurt you or anything" He put his hands up in defence.
"Then why didn't you knock the door!" I yelled at him and he chuckled.
"I did, but there was no answer and i left my phone here" He responded.
I couldn't help but chuckle. "I hope you're not always going to be coming in and out of my window" I said as i walked into my bedroom and grabbed his phone.
"Definitely not" He smiled.
I took a really good look at him, he was dressed in all black and he had blue eyes, his hair was messy and wet from the rain. He was really good looking, just by looking at him i knew he had a good body, i just wished i remembered it.
"You know a picture would last longer love" He told me snapping me out of my thoughts, my cheeks went bright red and i could already feel them burning.
"I'm sorry" I mumbled.
"Guess it's only fair since i couldn't take my eyes off you last night, do you go to the gym?" He asked me, he caught me completely off guard with that question.
"Sometimes, I'm getting back into it again" I answered nervously.
He walked closer to me and i knew he wasn't going to hurt me, but my stomach began to feel things that i haven't felt in a long time.
"I would like to take you on a date" He told me and i couldn't help but smile. "Tomorrow night, eight pm?" He offered.
"I'll be waiting" I replied and this time it was him who smiled at me.
I was coming across as confident, but in reality i was really just winging it. I had never felt so nervous in my life, did i really just agree to go on a date with a man who broke into my apartment through the window.
I'm definitely going crazy.
"Oh and Elle" He said as he come closer to me. "You should be proud of that body" He whispered in my ear once he moved my hair out of the way. "It's a work of art" He whispered again.
I suddenly had the urge to pee, i soon realised i didn't need to pee.
He just turned me on.....
