JUDI: That's too tight!
JANETTE [her older sister]: I'm sorry! It's just that your dress is so heavy I can't lace it up without it falling!
JUDI: Why haven't you gotten any help?!
JANETTE: Awsten is the only other person who can do this, and he's talking to Patty about God knows what!
JUDI: Ugh. Sydney?
SYDNEY: [stops doing her makeup] Yes?
JUDI: Come help my sister.
Sydney joins Judi and Janette.
JANETTE: Just hold this part up, and I'll do the rest.
SYDNEY: Okay. [To Judi] Are you excited to get married?
Judi pauses for a moment, then smiles.
JUDI: Yes. I'm so incredibly nervous and excited to just... be Misses Walters. I've been waiting for this day for ages, and suddenly it's already here. All those years, all that pain and frustration led me to this moment right here. [smiles gently] When I first heard of Patty, I hated him so much.
JANETTE: [chuckles] I remember that.
JUDI: That quickly changed when I finally met him, though. I remember hugging him out of respect, y'know, but something just, like, hit me.
JANETTE: I think that was your crush on him.
JUDI: I didn't have a crush on him until months later!
JANETTE: [to Sydney] That's a lie. She called me basically every night since she left Indiana, and she was always going on about how cute Patty was, or how sweet and kind he was.
JUDI: [playfully] Whatever.
Sydney and Janette finish up Judi's dress, and go off to do their own thing. Judi sits down on the fainting couch nearby, beginning to silently reflect on all the sweet memories with her very-soon-to-be-husband.

JAWN and PATTY come towards the three, smiling at the very enthusiastic {now} woman. Though as Jawn continues his facial praise, PATTY'S falters. He remembers how JUDI believes he and AWSTEN are a little too close. It's a mutual annoyance.
But then again, they will have to be around each other plenty soon and it's best to set things aside. JUDI is quite indubitably ready to start anew.
After she hugs Jawn, she gladly takes PATTY in her arms. It's hesitant, but it's still a hug nonetheless.

She drops her phone from being tickled. Her best friend picks it back up and begins hosting the live.
Patty: Hey thots.
Judi: Patty!
She swipes for her phone, but he dodges.
Patty: Haha, loser! You can't even get your own fucking phone!

Patty: She's my best friend, I can be mean to her if I want!
Judi: I'll put down Robbins instead of Walters!
Patty stops fighting her and brings the phone to his face, giving all the viewers a pleasant thing to watch.

Patty heads to the window Judi is closest to. He jumps up and waves, getting her attention. She rushes over, opening it quietly.
"Come on baby girl, I got you, come on," he holds his arms out for her. She accepts, letting herself fall into his tight grasp. Judi immediately sobs into his chest.
"Shh, it's okay, I'm here now, I have you, it'll be okay,"

JUDI: I'm glad you're prettier in real life, because then I never would've hugged you and became your best friend.
PATTY: Funny how one thing can change an entire relationship with someone.
She nuzzles into his shoulder, grinning into the crook of his neck.
JUDI: I want you to be at my wedding.
Both laugh.
PATTY: I promise I will. [holds her tighter] Even if it's the last thing I do.

SOMEONE: Judi?
JUDI: Yeah?
AWSTEN: Hey, how are you?
JUDI: [beams anxiously] Scared. Thrilled.
AWSTEN: Oh, you'll be fine. I know it's terrifying waiting to walk down the aisle, but once you're there with him and you're listening to the priest do his thing, you'll realize how lucky you are to have met the right person. Getting married is definitely one of the best experiences in the world, Jude. It really is.
JUDI: [tearing up] I can't believe that by this afternoon I'll already be Misses Walters.
AWSTEN: [softy] Me neither.
JUDI: I can see why you got so overwhelmed on your wedding day. [chuckles nervously, runs her hands down her legs] You have so much going on in your head, but you can't just like, take a break.
AWSTEN: Yeah. You'll be fine though, so don't worry. Just go with the flow and everything will work out wonderfully.
Judi nods.
JUDI: How's Patty?
AWSTEN: [laughs] You thought you were a wreck? You should see him. He's struggling so bad. Geoff has had to calm him down so many times today.
JUDI: Really?!
AWSTEN: Yeah. When we were checking the tables earlier, he couldn't even focus because he was so stressed out. I really think you guys need to do that little hand holding thingy soon because he's gonna lose his shit.
JUDI: Oh lord, I forgot about that.
AWSTEN: Why don't we go do that right now?
JUDI: Sure, let me just get the photographer.
AWSTEN: Okay.

GEOFF: [to Patty] Hey, we're gonna go do that thing with Judi real quick.
PATTY: Right now?
GEOFF: Yeah.
PATTY: Oh my god, oh my god. I'm not going to see her, right?
GEOFF: No, you're just going to hold her hand around a corner, remember?
PATTY: Yeah, yeah. Let's go.
GEOFF: Alrighty.
The pair head over to the designated corner, and Geoff checks to see if Judi is already there. Sure enough, she's standing with her back against the wall while patiently waiting on her fiancé's arrival.
Geoff sets up Patty, then the photographer comes around the corner. Patty reaches for Judi's hand, who gently grasps it as soon as she feels his tender touch.
JUDI: Patty?
PATTY: [sighs happily] Baby.
JUDI: I love you.
PATTY: I love you too.
Awsten starts tearing up.
JUDI: I'm so glad that I'm going to be your wife.
PATTY: Likewise. Well, not likewise because I'm a guy, so– your husband. That doesn't make sense either, fuck.
Everyone laughs.
JUDI: Aws said you were nervous, and I believed him, but I don't think I seriously understood just how anxious you were.
PATTY: I'm so scared.
JUDI: Me too.
PATTY: [to everyone] Can we have some alone time? With the exception of our photographer, of course.
Geoff and Awsten nod, then join each other to depart for a few minutes.
JUDI: Why'd you want to be alone?
PATTY: Because I felt that this should be our moment. [plays with her thumb] Judi, I have been so in love with you since the day we met. You're the kindest woman I've ever met, and the most amazing mother as well. I cannot imagine life without you.
JUDI: [tearing up] Patty, you're going to make my makeup run.
PATTY: [chuckles] That's okay, you're still going to be just as beautiful as you always are.
JUDI: I love you.
PATTY: I love you too.

At the altar, whilst exchanging vows.
PATTY: Thank you for standing here with me today as we create the ultimate team for life.
I will be by your side and always love who you are, as well as the person you will grow to be.

But if there is one decision in my life that I know is the right one, it's to spend the rest of my life with you. There is an infinite number of things I love about you. I love the way you smile when the twins are playing, and I love the deep sound of your laugh. gawsten sooo... huge thing. Patty and I got married.
obviously, you guys did not know about patty and i whatsoever. the most you guys had was that we lived together, and that he was taking on the fatherly figure for the twins. we felt that as a couple we should keep our relationship a secret as long as possible. we had actually come up with an agreement to just let you guys figure it out on your own, but then he proposed to me!
so here's a few things we wanted to tell you now that we've made our relationship public:
- patty is the biological father to our babies!! 🖤
- we've been together since june 2021 :,)
- he proposed to me in public while we were in greece during the last tour!
