At the beach.
JUDI: [steps out of the car] Oh my God! [takes off her cover-up] It's gorgeous!
JUDI takes off to the water, PATTY following while also trying to discreetly hide the ring.
JUDI: The water is so beautiful!
PATTY: Just like you.
JUDI: [smiles] Awh. [sticks her hand out] Come on. Come in deeper with me.
PATTY: Judi...
JUDI: [gasps] Nasty!
PATTY chuckles. They walk as deep as they can go without the water being able to push them over.
PATTY: You know, I searched all over the internet to find the most gorgeous beach in Athens just for you. I wanted to take you somewhere that you'd find lovely. Somewhere that would be engraved in your mind for years.
JUDI: Oh, this certainly will be.
PATTY: I suppose so, huh?
JUDI: Yeah. [looks at the horizon] I mean, just look around. It's blue for miles on end. The water is clearer than glass, and the fish are more florescent than any I've ever seen. I could never forget this place.
PATTY: I don't think you'd ever be able to forget this place because it'll be where I asked you to marry me.
JUDI: [turns back to PATTY] What? [sees the box] Oh my God...
PATTY: Judi, I love you more than anyone on this planet. You're my everything. You're my best friend. I don't want to live the rest of my life without you.
JUDI: [already bawling] Patty, I...
PATTY: [crying; beaming] I want you to be my misses Walters.
JUDI puts a hand to her mouth.
PATTY: So, will you marry me?
JUDI: Yes, holy shit.
PATTY slips the ring onto his now fiancée's finger.
JUDI: [hugs him] I love you.
PATTY: I love you, too.
