REAL LIFE
"why are you so smiley?" cleo nudges ophelia. not hearing what her friend said, ophelia looks up from her phone "huh, what did you say?". cleo smiles and repeats what she said "why are you so smiley?". ophelia suddenly gets embarrassed and her cheeks flare up from the question. she wonders if she should lie to her best friend or tell her the truth, but she knew if she told cleo the truth, she would overthink it and make the situation bigger than it is. so ophelia chose the former "umm my mom just sent me some photos of her and my grandma, thats all".
cleo wasn't convinced with ophelia's answer but let it slide "mhm okay. lucy, micah and allison are on their way here so get ready". "wait where are we going" ophelia asks while changing from her sweatpants to a pair of saint laurent jeans. cleo was putting on her lipstick and she tried to answer ophelia's question but her lips moved and the lipstick went out of line "agh crap, we're going to columbia recoding studio, lucas told me to bring you guys".
lucas ainsley was another boy in ophelia's life that people that people associate with her romantically, another one being tom holland. but lucas and ophelia were just friends, in fact the romantic relationship people think they have is a running joke between the two friends. sometimes they tease each other and the media by posting photos of the other pretending they're in a relationship, but everyone who knows them personally knows that they're just joking.
ophelia's hotel rooms doorbell rung alarming the girls that their friends were there. cleo stands up first to open the door and the 3 friends walk into the hotel room. "ayee bitches, im here!" micah shouts, all four girls shush micah telling him to be quiet, "shesh fine" he fires back and sits on the chair. lucy takes a seat beside ophelia on the couch and allison lays down on the bed spreading her limbs all over the bed. cleo goes to allison's side and rolls her of the bed to the floor "guys c'mon we're going to be late and i dont want to be stuck in traffic" cleo nags, all of them say "yes mother" collectively in a teasing tone
the five friends made their way out of the hotel and into an uber. they were sitting in traffic while cleo complained and allison and micah fighting while lucy trying to play peace maker. it was like having children in a car. the uber was near their stop when ophelia's phone dinged and she looked at the notification.
