"I knew you could do it."

Elina had just defeated Laverna, and the movie was slowly but surely coming to an end. Everyone sitting on the couch or on the carpeted floor in front of them was either wiping tears from the overly emotional scene displayed before them, or clapping their hands from the masterpiece they all had just watched.

Well, almost everyone that is.

Hoseok was still asleep on Yoongi's lap, and had been for the past half an hour, making Yoongi's legs begin to feel numb and tingly from not being able to move them at all, and from the dead weight of Hoseok's head. But he pushed that aside and toughened up since he'd rather suffer through that needle-pricking feeling than wake up his friend who looked rather adorable when fast asleep.

"Wow, he really slept through half the movie," Namjoon stated just as the rolling credits popped up onto the screen.

"I know," Yoongi winced, "my leg is asleep."

"Awww," Chaeyoung pouted her lips at the image of a sleeping Hoseok, "he looks so cute and squishy."

Getting off of his seat at the couch beside Jungkook, Taehyung walked up to Hoseok and knelt in front of him on the floor, taking his cheeks in hand and squishing them countless times.

"It's like that slime trend from 2016," he stated bluntly, his fingers only continuing to stretch and smoosh Hoseok's surprisingly stretchy cheeks.

"Hey lemme try," Jungkook nudged his friend out of the way, now taking his turn in poking and playing around with a still somehow asleep Hoseok.

"Guys he's gonna wake up if you keep abusing his cheeks like that," Seokjin chuckled from his place on the couch, earning a perked up eyebrow from a sleepy Jimin, "He's gonna have to wake up at some point."

"Or not," Taehyung shrugged, standing up, "if you want you guys can sleepover."

A long sigh left Jimin's lips as he shook his head, "Can't. Me, Hobi, and Chae all have dance practice first thing tomorrow morning since the recital is coming up."

"Oh god I forgot about that," Chaeyoung groaned, rubbing her hands along her tired features, which Taehyung only pouted at, "Oh alright, it's fine maybe another time."

"You sure?" Jimin cocked his head to the side, which is friend reassured him with a grin and thumbs up, "Positive."

"Oh yeah are we able to go to your guys' performance?" Namjoon asked, eyes switching back from Jimin and Chaeyoung.

Nodding her head, Chaeyoung responded brightly with, "Pretty sure, they said anyone you know is able to come."

"Mhm," Jimin agreed sleepily.

"Esketitttt," Jungkook enthused, punching the air as Seokjin and Taehyung giggled at his excitement.

The dance competition.

Yoongi had totally forgotten about that, but the memories of Hoseok, Jimin, and Chaeyoung bringing it up at lunch were starting to slowly come back to him, unlocking a forgotten treasure.

During the whole of the conversation, his friends' words and phrases flowing out of their mouths became a mere white noise in the background, not having any meaning to it as his mind dazed back and forth out of reality and within his own fantasized world.

Genuine hope swelled up inside of him that he would be able to attend the performance, since he still had yet to watch Hoseok dance. And from the overhead chatter in the hallways and during classes, apparently he was some sort of hip hop god, with precise yet fluid movement as his feet glided his lean body against the floor.

Now thinking about it, he hadn't even seen what Chaeyoung's capable of either with her dance skills, but from Hoseok and Jimin she was absolutely utterly flawless in her technique.

But there was something about the adrenaline and thrill that pumped through Yoongi's veins about the thought of watching Hoseok dance; hitting every single beat perfectly with such powerful and captivating steps.

Everything about it just sounded so — satisfying.

Excitement only built up inside him more and more with every passing thought about it entering his conscience, the impatience slowly gobbling him up with his urgency to watch that boy work wonders with his body.

Looking down with gentle and caring eyes, Yoongi's fingers hesitantly ghosted over Hoseok's dainty facial features, before finally settling on resting in his curly head of luscious brown hair. Everyone around the two were either talking or laugh hysterically, but just like many times before, Yoongi and Hoseok were in their own little peaceful bubble.

"Hoseokie~" Yoongi whispered, gently shaking the boy awake with his hands on either sides of his shoulders, "we have to go now."

Stirring awake with his eyes blinking rapidly as he adjusted to the blinding lights above him, Hoseok cautiously looked around only to be met with seven pairs of eyes staring down at him.

"W-wha-" Hoseok stammered, only to be interrupted by Taehyung, "you slept for a while, but you should probably head home now before it gets too late, okay?" He smiled softly at his friend, slowly easing Hoseok to sit with his back upright on the couch.

"Does someone mind walking Hobi over to his house just to make sure he doesn't get hit by a car or something?" Taehyung chuckled lightly, patting the boy on the head.

"Sure," Yoongi nonchalantly mumbled, earning a "Thanks," from Taehyung in return.

After the group all slipped on their thick, warm boots or sneakers and coats to prepare for the wintry November weather, they all said their goodbyes and thanked Taehyung and his parents for letting them stay over.

Hoseok's house was only across the street, though being the protective friend that Taehyung is, he wanted to make sure he got their safely since Hoseok was still seemingly dozy and not fully conscious from his almost hour long nap. So, without hesitation, Yoongi volunteered with walking him without any trouble at all.

Plus, it meant spending extra time with Hoseok, even if it was just a few minutes.

As the two headed out Taehyung's front door, Hoseok groggily swept his arm around Yoongi's shoulder to stable his balance since the sidewalk was quite slippery from the thin layers of frost and ice. Though, Yoongi wasn't really complaining since it also provided him a sense of warmth amidst the chilling breeze blowing all around them.

Hoseok's half asleep eyes blinked rapidly, attempting at keeping the tiny snowflakes out of eyes which Yoongi laughed at since it did look quite innocent and cute.

"What are you laughing at?" Hoseok slurred, leaning his head onto Yoongi's shoulder while wrapping both his arms around his torso.

Blushing, Yoongi responded with a shaky, "Huh? Oh uh nothing. You just looked-" and that's when he stopped himself mid sentence, eyes widening in shock out of realization at what he was about to say.

Hoseok smirked, "Looked what?"

"Hm?" Yoongi peered down at a hanging Hoseok, biting down at his lip nervously.

"Continue your sentence, I wanna know."

"No," Yoongi refused jokingly, guiding the two up the Jung Household's cobblestone porch steps, which were illuminated by a small porch light on their brick wall.

"I'm not gonna go in till you tell meeee~" Hoseok teased, poking at Yoongi's thick and bubbly coat.

"You're gonna freeze to death out here."

Hoseok just shrugged at this, a mocking smile lacing his lips almost as if to mentally test Yoongi on purpose.

But while they were both standing there on that porch, it was as if time had completely stopped. The falling flurries, which were barely tiny fluffy white dots that Yoongi hardly visibly processed, only floating around the two in slow motion.

Hoseok somehow only looked even prettier than normal in that moment, with his rosy button nose and cheeks pink from the bitter weather, and eyelashes covered with a few scattered snowflakes as well as some resting picturesquely in his fluffy locks, the brown perfectly contrasting against the pearly white specks.

The subtle pinkness only made his caramel and honey-tinted eyes pop even more, as they stared daringly into Yoongi's pools of dark chocolate, both of them completely lost in the moment as if tempted by the forces of the universe to inch closer and together until there was no space left between them.

But of course, they didn't; because they were two very fearful and timid Juniors in high school, these newfound feelings that they both had absolutely no experience with whatsoever sprung up to them out of nowhere, overwhelming the two to their absolute mosts and stripping away any sense of confidence that the either of them had left.

But one thing is for sure, that if Yoongi did have the guts, bravery, or confidence to do it, then there would be no doubt that he'd ask to kiss him.

Snapping Yoongi out of his daydream, Hoseok finally broke the silence with a playful, "If you're not gonna tell me-"

"Cute."

"What?"

"I thought you looked cute," he mumbled, though regret automatically seized him as soon as those words fell out.

Hoseok's eyes widened into large saucers, staring back at a now shy and bashful Yoongi who had immediately averted his eyes to the thin white layer of frost below him.

With cheeks now dusted with a faint blush that wasn't because of the cold weather's doing, Hoseok tilted Yoongi's chin up so now he was forced to gaze into those gorgeous brown eyes that he never failed to adore, "You're adorable, you know that?"

Yoongi swatted his hand away stubbornly, though it still came off as baby-ish to Hoseok as he couldn't help but smile at it, "Gahh just shut up and get inside."

"Desperate for me to go away already?" Hoseok teased, tilting his head to the side.

"No, but my ass is freezing so you'll do both of us a favor."

A chuckle escaped Hoseok's chapped lips, throwing his head back as the night air was filled with echoey lighthearted laughter almost like an angel itself.

"Okayyy," Hoseok gave him, marching up to his very flushed friend and wrapping his petite body in a tight and squeezing hug, "thanks for walking me over, Yoonie."

Yoongi gulped, that cute and innocent nickname still doing wonders to his mind, and it didn't help the fact by the way Hoseok said it so specifically — as if he knew exactly the effect he had on the elder before him.

"Mhm," was all Yoongi could get out, feeling a light peck on his head as Hoseok waved to him one last time, before entering the house and disappearing behind through the cherry-red painted door.

Leaving a very flabbergasted Min Yoongi just mindlessly gazing after him, almost like he was expecting Hoseok to walk back through it and hug him one last time, since that seemed like an often little trick he liked to play on him.

Yet, when that small gesture didn't come, Yoongi just turned around and walked back to his car, his feet padding along the cobblestone steps and paved sidewalk.

An just as he was sliding into the driver seat of the vehicle, there was a sudden vibration coming from inside his pocket. Stuffing his hand inside it to see who it was, Yoongi just rolled his eyes at the text message, though the flustered side of his brain painted a rosy crimson to creep along his cheeks.
