drowning in the shadows
yearning to touch the light
sinking in a puddle
loosing every fight
trying to guess what happened
trying to find out where
all the red around her came from
and all the smoke that's in the air
she was a queen in her own time
now tripping over pebbles
failing every love and man
and loosing all her petals
holding a string but the balloon is gone
not realizing that she's blind
knocking on doors that were forever closed
not knowing she's lost her mind
caged inside a nutshell
chasing behind shooting stars
a wall around her soul and
a mask to hide her scars
now her heart is ripped open
her skin is turning blue
she's leaving behind her universe
but her eyes they still hold on to you
