Mike Wheeler has a lot of friends. But his best are Lucas Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, Jane Hopper, and Max Mayfield. On one lunchtime gone strange, he's dared to ask out the quiet boy in the library.
"And you walked in then my heart went boom!"
Will Byers has no friends. Sure, he's a nice person, but awfully shy. He's labeled the queer, weird kid, and other horrible names. When popular boy Mike Wheeler asks him out, he couldn't be happier.
"Stop. I'm not naive."
Will says yes.
Much to Mike's dismay.
But he has to "love" him for two months.
Lord help us all.
