A student of Lal, was the only thing he was seen as. Nothing more, nothing less. Even thought, Lal taught him a lot of combat techniques and how to properly use firearms. How to survive in an environment that was harsh and how to recognize different types of chemical things to create a bomb. It didn't hide the fact that he also knew things she was unfamiliar with.

Translated as "The fool", if he were to mention that to Lal, she probably wouldn't think of it too much. She would give a vague answer which was just repeating the meaning of it or just mentioning the card game.
It was quite amusing, because even a civilian who had enough knowledge would be able to tell what are "the fools".
Colonello never really liked "the fools", in fact he was wary of them.
Reasons why?
Those who were fools didn't know the definition of death, they lived ignorant of that. Even if they were scared of having a gun placed on their heads, they would still repeatedly do the same thing over and over again. As if they were expecting a different result the next time.
Insanity
Those people could also be described as insane.
This is why when he first met Skull, another member of this curse. He was shocked at how stupid he sounded, but after staying with him for some times, he noticed that this person was part of this "fools" category.
But he knew, that there was two types of fools, and the second one was an "actor".
An actor was someone who discarded their real persona into creating new ones. Tricking people into believe something that was fake. They were surnamed "fools" because they could drown in their own talent, which is deemed as foolish and insane, part of why it's in the "fools" category. He didn't exactly know which one was Skull, but he gave off a Luce-like feeling but not quite the same. It was as if they both had one exact same thing in common but at the same time not.
Part of the reason why he wouldn't try to underestimate this person "Skull", because what was most terrifying was that those fools, they could trick people's mind. It didn't sound that scary but it actually was.
They could pretend to be your friend and be very good at it. They could pretend to be everything without you having to be suspicious about anything. If they were someone close to you, you could tell them all of your problems, secrets and it was like showing them your vulnerable state. Without knowing, you would trust them while on the other hand they didn't even care and wouldn't even bat an eye if you were in danger.
Aside from that, he didn't exactly wanted to meet up with this person again, unfortunately fate didn't seem to spare him any luck.
After that encounter with Lal and Colonello, Skull always missed the calls of the meetings. He never went to them, because he didn't see the benefit of trying to resolve everything in one go.
Everyone, was quite impatient about their new appearance, even thought it has been a long time since they have been regressed to a baby state. Due to getting sucked up into researching informations, Luce seemed to be whipped out of their minds.
Skull laughed at those thoughts dryly, they were quite a spoiled and selfish bunch in his point of view but he wasn't them so he couldn't understand their feelings. Shaking his head, he once again payed attention to what he was doing.
Feeding the fish that were in the rivers.
It was quite peaceful, he even saw one fish that seemed familiar. It was yellow with a tint of blue and green, it really looked like Lal's partner whose name was Colonello.
Sinking once again in deep thought, Skull noticed during the conversion between him and Lal, on the contrary of his expectations, Colonello changed the way he looked at him.
Even thought, at the beginning he looked at him as if he was a huge idiot. His impressions seems to have changed, rather he stared at him with cautions. It was the first time it ever happened to him.
Skull sighed before giving the rest of the bread to the fish and preparing to leave. Just as he turned around, he noticed a familiar figure watching him with shock on his face.
It was Colonello.
Without waiting much he stared back, and a giant smile creeped up on his face before dashing to the yellow haired baby's side.
"Colonello!!!! Nice to see you here! Are you here to get my most rare and precious autograph?" He yelled in an excited manners.
Colonello flinched back a bit, before looking back at him with a small smile.
"No I was just here because I had to buy something." He answered back vaguely at the bursting energy ball in front of him.
"So you are not here to take my autograph?" He said in sad tone before taking out a paper which was written in the most beautiful writing "Skull". "I even prepared one..." he continue to say with even more depressed mood.
At that sight, Colonello didn't panick and instead retreated a bit.
"I'll take it later but now I really have to go kora!" He quickly yelled in hurry before disappearing from sight.
Not expecting this reaction, Skull felt like he missed something.
'What in the actual world happened? Damn, how I wish Maria was here when I need answers.' He thought as he walked away from his earlier spot.
"Hello Luce." Skull greeted as he tried to close the door behind him.
Furthermore, instead of the usual greeting, he was met with silence. Frowning, he looked over the bed and saw Luce with closed eyes laying quietly without moving an inch.
Anxiousness was slowly starting to creep around his heart.
"Luce?" He called once again as he hesitantly approches her.
When he still didn't get an answer, he quickly went to grab a chair and pushed it next to the bed. He grabbed her wrist and checked her pulse, when he finally felt the heartbeat still beating vigorously, he calmed down. After that small heart attack, he decided to go down. As he was about to jump, he noticed sleeping pills on the desk.
Turned out she fell into a deep sleep, which weirdly reassured him. By that time, he realized that he was losing hand on keeping up with his mask.
Turns out passing some times with Luce made him feel some attachement, she was a great friend. But he quickly shook his head, she was going to die anyway, getting attached may hurt his feelings in the future.
Without turning back, he went to the crib and watched the cute little baby sleeping.
He smiled thinking about what kind of tragic life would this baby live, with the "sin" of her mother, would she acquire hates from the arcobaleno?
Who knows, human were unexpected creature after all. Rejecting the fault and getting a scapegoat was not uncommon after all. Even with experienced people it still happened.
But one thing for sure, he promised Luce that he would take care of her baby.
If they were to hurt her, he wouldn't be able to do anything, but every human had a weakness. He would surely find them and use them as his guide.
Because he was Maria's student after all, learning how to protect yourself even if you didn't have the strength would be surely useful.
