"Chul, that's who."

"Oh god," Yoongi groaned, rolling his eyes, "What did he do this time?"

"Made fun of Jimin just cuz he got a little nervous during our presentation," Hoseok quietly, yet angrily, responded, aggressively poking his fork into his salad.

And that's all that needed to be said before all their friends' eyes turned into sharp diamond like shapes, and the pigment in their faces now giving the hint that they were about to explode out of lividness at the news that someone actually had the audacity to insult one of their sweetest friends.

Not even one of, because Jimin was their sweetest friend.

Even if he was a brat sometimes.

Even Chaeyoung lashed out, her usual big innocent eyes turning into sharp cold ones aged with fury, which was strange to see since she was the most calm and collected one out of the group.

"He what?" She snapped, dropping her hamburger with wide eyes as she stared at Hoseok unbelievably.

"Yeah, he said some utter bullshit, I don't know why though cuz Chul's presentation was god awful."

"Oh hell no," Seokjin started up sassily, wiping his mouth with a napkin, "I always hated that little bitch, where is he?" He stood up, peering his eyes over the dozens of students all crowded at their lunch tables.

"Ah, Jinnie don't cause a scene-" Jungkook tugged at his friend's shirt in order to make him sit down.

"Does it look like I care?"

"Kook's right, it's not that big of a deal. I mean, I appreciate it but seriously it'll only make things worse," Jimin spoke up quietly, eyes not leaving his uneaten lunch in front of him.

"Oh, no," Jungkook latched eyes with Jimin across the table, "I just mean don't walk up to him right now cuz then we'll definitely get caught by a teacher. Beat his ass up after school behind the dumpsters."

"You're right, how could I be so stupid," Seokjin jokingly face palmed before sitting down right after, "thanks."

"A king always knows his ways," Jungkook smirked, tapping the side of his head.

"You know," Chaeyoung began smugly, bringing her voice down to a whisper, "I have this extra pair of high heels in my locker, they could do some damage."

"Fucking love you," Taehyung gasped, as everyone stared at her wonderingly.

"Wow who knew she had a dark side," Yoongi chuckled.

"Honestly it's like Hobi and Chae both have these hidden evil personalities," Namjoon widened his eyes, gazing at everyone, "kinda scares me."

"It's always the quiet kids who you least expect," Jimin joked lightheartedly before earning a questionable look from Seokjin.

"Uhhhh I dunno bout you but Hobi is the loudest hoe on the planet," Seokjin laughed, earning a playful slap from Hoseok.

"Shut up," Hoseok mumbled softly, though a small smile did manage to make its way onto his lips.

"Don't worry," she began, "I only bring it out my evil side good use," she winked, before finishing up her hamburger and fries.

"Chae for president 2020," Jungkook praised, Hoseok following along as the two started waving their arms towards her in a bowing like manner.

And soon everyone was praising her like some kind of cult.

As they should periodt 😌💅

Chaeyoung just shook her head playfully, a light laugh escaping her lips before ruffling the boy's hair beside her.

She really did love them. (*sobs*)

"Okay but anyway," Yoongi randomly spoke up, having all seven pairs of eyes gazing at him curiously, "what did Chul even say?"

Hoseok and Taehyung exchanged nervous glances, before looking expectantly at Jimin, who still remained quiet during all of this.

"He said, 'So Park, not so Mr. Perfect anymore are you. How do you even expect to get into a college when you can't even do a fucking presentation. Pathetic if you ask me,' and then I told him to fuck off and to go choke on a dick," Taehyung nonchalantly replied, continuing to eat his bag of chips like the king he is.

Hearing that, everyone immediately spat out their drinks or just gaped at Taehyung who remained completely unbothered. But soon, after spending several minutes admiring yet questionably staring at the boy, they all burst into fits of laughter.

"Okay king go off," Seokjin chuckled, gasping for air while doing so.

"Oo chile-" Jungkook pursed his lips dramatically, taking a sip from his apple juice before pointing his fingers at Taehyung, "he's gonna get back at you for that."

"And? He insulted Jimin. No one insults Jimin under my watch," Taehyung subsided, earning a thread of claps from Namjoon.

"Periodt."

"Also what he said was complete bull," Hoseok sighed, "like- stuttering doesn't determine whether you get into a college or not. This bland ass bitch running out of insults."

"Honestly," Chaeyoung agreed, turning her attention towards her friend, "like a third grader can come up with better comebacks than him."

Yoongi let out a soft chuckle, "Literally."

Seeing Hoseok fume about Chul was honestly quite refreshing to Yoongi. Like he was finally beginning to see why the others have been continuously trying to warn Hoseok about it, and that the guy had bad intentions all along.

So, in simpler terms, Yoongi was glad Hoseok wasn't being a dumbass anymore.

#progress😹😹🥳🥳🥳👍👍👍

Though, even this is basically what Yoongi's been wanting since the beginning, it didn't stop it from feeling so.. odd and strange.

And unnatural.

Most likely since he just got used to seeing Hoseok drool over Chul basically anytime he came into view.

It threw him off, to say the least.

But Yoongi was just praying that this acted as the game changer for Hoseok, or more as a reality check.

Because even if Hoseok was completely and utterly whipped for someone, he'd surely fall out of love if he personally witnessed them hurting his friends in any way.

Because Yoongi knew Hoseok.

And when it came to the important value of friendships or family, Hoseok would sacrifice anything and everything to ensure their happiness.

Even if it cost him his own.

✈︎   ☁︎︎   ✈︎   ☁︎︎   ✈︎

Sixth period was going to be interesting.

Because currently, both Yoongi and Hoseok were furious at Chul for what he had done and said earlier that day.

And although Yoongi hadn't personally witnessed the blow out between the four of them, he trusted his friends' words with every ounce in his body. Plus, when it came to someone hurting Jimin, one of his best friends since elementary school, nothing was going to stop Yoongi from lashing out at them.

What made Yoongi even more pissed what that of course Chul would pick on someone as sweet and vulnerable as Jimin- someone who didn't deserve that type of treatment.

Someone who wasn't as assertive in situations like these, even if the other person deserved it.

Plus, Yoongi loved Jimin all too much to see him get hurt like this, they were practically brothers and both of their families have had close ties with each other for nearly a decade.

So obviously, Yoongi wasn't going to hold back from beating up that piece of shit.

Excitement, yet rage, boiled up inside him as Yoongi stepped foot into the bright and sunny classroom, the afternoon golden hues nearly blinding him.

Blinking rapidly, Yoongi eventually found his way to his seat, not forgetting to look around and spot where Chul was at the moment. And, to his advantage, he was already in the classroom sitting just a few rows ahead of him.

Temptation riled up inside his bones that he should just walk over there right now and slap the man senseless- but Yoongi contained those urges and found his self control.

Though, he had to take literal breathers in order not to fulfill that yearning desire.

Except Chul's face looked extra punchable today, so it was a bit harder not to do so.

Only a few moments later, Hoseok came marching in to the classroom, though his eyes didn't carry that usual twinkle of optimism or that cheery smile.

Except, it was all replaced with an eye roll and scowl once his eyes landed on Chul talking smoothly to some random girl towards the front of the classroom.

Yoongi couldn't even spot one drop of love or pink blush on Hoseok's face, because it had all been replaced with pure bitterness.

He had to keep himself from smiling at the abnormal change in behavior.

"Hello Yoongiiiii," Hoseok dragged out groggily, eyes half shut as he plopped down into his seat with a heavy sigh leaving his chapped lips.

"Lip balm?" Yoongi offered, noticing how dry his friend's lips were.

"Ooooh sure thanks!" Hoseok happily accepted the offer, grabbing the balm out of Yoongi's outstretched hand.

"No problem loser."

And that's when Yoongi got punched.

(Lightly, of course)

"Ouchhh," Yoongi groaned, rubbing the part of his arm that Hoseok hit, not forgetting to send the younger a playful eye roll.

"Sorry couldn't help it," he giggled, handing the lip balm back to Yoongi, "but thanks for the lip balm by the way."

"My pleasure," Yoongi grumbled, stuffing it back into his backpack.

Then, Hoseok impulsively turned on his seat so that he was now face-to-face with Yoongi. Leaning in towards the elder's ear, he whispered, "So, when are we beating up Chul?"

Shivers crept up and down Yoongi's spine from the rare deep voice, though he quickly shook off the thought and focused on what his friend had asked him.

Backing away, Yoongi laughed before gazing into Hoseok's eyes, seriousness written in his own, "Hmmmm," he tapped his chin thoughtfully, "personally I think we should just push him out of the classroom window right after class," he joked, earning a string of laughter from Hoseok.

"God I love your mind," Hoseok teasingly praised, though Yoongi's cheeks did subconsciously heat up at the compliment.

But it's not like he could control it, since Hoseok really had captured the elder's heart in a never ending loophole. Though, it's not like Yoongi wanted to escape any time soon.

No, he just wanted Hoseok to join with him.

[A/N: it just means that Yoongi wants their feelings to be mutual 😔💅]

✈︎   ☁︎︎  ✈︎   ☁︎︎   ✈︎

Obviously, the two didn't go through with the plan since that would undoubtedly end with them both either in jail, or expelled.

It was mainly for joking purposes.

And to get the satisfaction of imaging it actually happening.

But enough said,,,

Class had just ended, but as Hoseok had begun to pack up his things, he heard someone call his name.

And it wasn't Yoongi,

Or the teacher,

But it was Chul.

Chul??

Why is Chul trying to talk to me after what had happened this morning?

Turning around, not forgetting to put on a fake smile so it didn't seem like Hoseok wanted to grab him by the throat and completely strangle the man, he just expectantly waited for the Chul to say something in order to get this conversation over and done with.

"Good job on your project! I see the teacher put up that picture of Yoongi," Chul complimented, though Hoseok saw right through those charming dimples and captivating eyes.

Chul was jealous.

It was so blatantly obvious, as his voice practically leaked with venom with every word that hissed it's way out of his mouth, everything about it was just so incredibly fake.

"Um, thanks," Hoseok replied bluntly, not giving Chul the satisfaction that he'd usually feed off of whenever Chul noticed Hoseok getting flustered or happy around him.

Because yes, Chul had taken note Hoseok's behavior towards him ever since the beginning of the year. He was fully aware of the effect he had on him, which only filled that empty hole in his heart that longed for love for so incredibly long.

And now that it's just stripped away because of his own actions, Chul couldn't help but hate himself for it.

Hoseok's eyes no longer had that love struck glimmer shining in them, or that pretty color of faint pink dusting his cheeks.

None of that.

In fact, Hoseok looked and felt rather uncomfortable under Chul's desperate gaze for anything, any sign of affection.

But alas, there was nothing.

Now Yoongi, who had been observing their interaction from his desk, didn't hesitate one second to catch up with the now walking side-by-side pair and trip Chul with his feet, by sticking out his shoe in front of him making the taller stumble forward.

Taking the opportunity, Yoongi yanked Hoseok forward before Chul could catch up to them or notice that Hoseok was gone.

"Oh my god I love you," Hoseok gasped, placing his hand I've this heart.

"Mhm," Yoongi smirked, and couldn't help but let pride consume him whole knowing that he had just saved his friend from a very awkward and uncomfortable situation.

But also, the interaction did make Yoongi a little.. you know.

*cough* jealous *cough*

Or agitated rather, since Hoseok's feelings for that dumb clown have now dispersed into thin air as if they never even existed.

"You looked really uncomfortable, so-" yet Yoongi was cut off from a light peck on his cheek, only to be met with a tight hug from Hoseok.

"No really thank you, I mean it."

Yoongi, who was completely loss for words and tongue tied, could hardly get out even a simple hum, so in response he just patted the younger's head as the two walked to their next class before eventually departing.

And the whole way, Yoongi's cheeks only flowed a bright red, with his heart thumping rapidly in his chest from the action.

Because Hoseok kissed him.

Yeah, it was a friendly kiss and yeah, Hoseok himself thought nothing of it.

But that didn't keep the figurative butterflies from flapping all around in Yoongi's chest, tickling his insides with little nips and flutters.

🍼for clarification: hobi kissed Yoongi on the cheek as an impulsive thank you for saving him from Chul, it was completely platonic and hobi does not reciprocate any feelings for Yoongi (atm) 😔😪✊
🍓and also yes hobi is now over chul for the most part since he actually witnessed him being mean to one of his best friends so yay finally this dumbass realized he's horrible after 68 chapters tehe
