Mallory and Stefan ended up dropping the bomb on Damon about the sire bond, but the latter was quick to complain that it wasn't true. However, after a trip to New Orleans, where they found proof of another woman Damon had turned suffering the sire bond, it was all proven to be true.

They found out there wasn't even a spell to break it. A vampire bonded to her sire if she had feelings for him before being turned. Being a vampire only heightened emotions.

Once returning to Mystic Falls, it wasn't long before the town was having yet another event. It was called the Winter Wonderland, which Mallory couldn't help but find dull.

Mallory was standing amongst the crowd in front of Tyler, who ended up telling her that that night, he and the hybrids were planning to take down Klaus.

"You're going to do what?!" Mallory exclaimed, staring at Tyler in disbelief.

"Hayley found a witch strong enough to do the body jump spell—" Tyler began to explain, causing Mallory to sigh in frustration, "You know, the Klaus specialty."

"So you're going to put him someone else's body, and then what?" Mallory questioned, staring at him in frustration.

"We'll encase the body in concrete, then bury it."

"Why don't you just desiccant him as Bonnie did?" Mallory suggested, causing Tyler to sigh.

"Because, to do that spell, you have to stop a human heart," Tyler complained and Mallory rolled her eyes, realizing the people she surrounded herself with were not as willing to kill a random human as she was, "I was a little short of volunteers."

"Well, who was dumb enough to volunteer their body to be a Klaus sublet?" Mallory retorted, frowning in concern.

Tyler remained silent for a long moment. He sighed, knowing that Mallory wasn't going to like what he was getting at.

Slowly, Mallory's eyes widened in realization, causing him to be quick to speak up. "Please don't freak out," He pleaded and Mallory scoffed loudly.

"Don't freak out?" Mallory exclaimed loudly, her eyes filling with anger, "I'm about to punch you, Tyler. You bloody volunteered? Are you mad?!"

"It's not forever," Tyler assured Mallory, attempting to grab ahold of her, but she pulled away, "Long enough for the hybrids to be able to completely disappear."

"I can think of better ways for us to spend our senior year than you buried in concrete, Tyler," Mallory growled at Tyler in a low, threatening tone.

"Don't go there, Mal. You don't even care about high school," Tyler argued back with an attitude, "You're eight hundred years old. This will be nothing to you," He sighed, moving closer to her as he cupped her face in his hands, "This started with me. This has to end with me. I need your support. Please tell me I do."

"It won't work, Tyler," Mallory admitted in a whisper, genuine fear in her eyes, "You think you know Klaus, but you don't. I've known him for more than eight centuries. Believe me when I say he will see this coming."

"It will work, Mal," Tyler complained, a genuine look on his face, "I won't let this fail. I swear to you, this will work."

"I don't want you to die because of a poorly made plan," Mallory confessed softly as she moved to him, "But I will stand by you, Tyler. No matter what."

Tyler smiled, leaning his forehead against hers as he kissed her.

"Where are you?" Mallory asked Stefan through the phone in an impatient tone after she had called him.

"I'm at the house," Stefan replied calmly, "Why? What's wrong?"

"My boyfriend is the biggest idiot of them all and he's trying to be a martyr, that's what's wrong," Mallory answered with an attitude, "Anyways, why are you home? I thought you were trying to stay away from Elena."

"Well, she's not here anymore," Stefan informed her, causing Mallory to stop walking, "Damon took Jeremy to the Gilbert Lake House with Bonnie, so I guess her house is safe again. Listen, though. We have bigger problems. I got Klaus to tell me a little bit more about this hunter's sword. You know that map in Jeremy's tattoo?"

"Yeah, what about it?" Mallory asked in an annoyed tone.

"The sword decodes it."

"What?" Mallory replied, her eyes widening in shock.

"It's literally the key to finding the cure," Stefan continued on, causing Mallory to sigh.

"Did he happen to hand over the sword for safekeeping when he told you this?" Mallory asked, trying not to sound uneasiness as she spoke to her brother.

"It's Klaus we're talking about, Mal. What do you think?" Stefan retorted with an attitude, earning yet another large sigh from Mallory, "Why? What's wrong? What am I missing?"

"It's necessary to get our hands on that swords today or we're screwed," Mallory informed Stefan, who was clearly concerned about what she was saying, "Tyler and his hybrids are taking out Klaus tonight."

"Then I'm going to need you to stall Klaus while I search his place," Stefan insisted, as Mallory expected him to.

Inside the Mystic Grill, Mallory walked in and made her way over to a certain painting that had drawn her attention. She smiled slightly, admiring the artwork as she stood in front of it.

She really needed to start painting and drawing again.

Feeling eyes on her, she turned her head, finding Klaus to be standing there, smiling at her. "Hear to steal Tiny Tim's crutches, Scrooge?" She asked him with an attitude.

"Dickens was a dark man," Klaus replied, earning a small smile from Mallory.

"I know. I met the bastard," She confessed, sighing, "Not the most pleasant man to spend time with."

"I thought you would've liked him," Klaus replied as he walked closer to her.

"I didn't," She responded, eying the painting to suddenly spot Klaus' name on it, "Nice artwork, by the way. I can't help but think of it as an expression of post-modernism."

Klaus turned to her, his eyes widening in shock. "Finally!" He exclaimed, his lips curling upwards, "Someone who finally understands my art."

"No one around here seems to understand the small pleasures in life," Mallory confessed as she continued to stare at the painting, "They instead find pleasure in partying, sex, and being idiotic teenagers."

She stepped toward the painting, smiling softly. "The painting is truly art. There's more to it than just a snowflake. There's something...lonely about it. Something deep and dark."

"I'm going to take that as a compliment," Klaus replied and Mallory smiled as she nodded her head.

"You should. It was supposed to be a compliment," Mallory stated and Klaus nodded in understanding.

"Can I offer you some champagne?" He asked and Mallory smiled.

"Yes, you can," She replied, trying to hide her uneasiness. She couldn't help but feel bad. She was supposed to hate Klaus, but a part of her didn't. A part of her felt guilty about what was going to happen that night. And then there was that other part of her. That part of her that knew for a fact that Klaus was too smart to walk into this poorly-made trap.

That part of her knew for a fact that Klaus was going to survive the night and seek vengeance on Tyler, yet Mallory did nothing about it. She forced herself not to believe it was the truth.

"I talked to Kol a few days ago," Klaus spoke up, causing Mallory to turn to him with wide eyes, "He asked about you."

"Of course he did," Mallory replied, smiling slightly in amusement, "But if we're going to have this conversation, you're going to need to hurry up and get that champagne."

Klaus smiled, nodding his head before he walked away.

Mallory ended up telling Caroline the news as well about Tyler and the hybrids. After leaving Mystic Grill, she walked outside to meet with Caroline and Stefan, a questioning look on her face.

"Did you find the sword?" Mallory asked as she glanced between Stefan and Caroline, who had been helping her brother with finding the sword.

"Nope," Caroline replied, a frustrated look on her face.

"Well, what are you we going to do now?" Mallory asked, sighing in defeat.

"Klaus is the only shot we have at finding the cure," Stefan answered, glancing between the female duo, "We need him. Tyler has to call it off."

"Well, that's not gonna happen," A voice suddenly spoke up, causing Mallory's eyes to widen as she turned her head to see Tyler standing before them, "You told them?" He asked Mallory, a betrayed look on his face.

"Tyler—" Mallory began to reply, only to have Tyler cut her off.

"I've had twelve hybrids sworn to secrecy for a month," Tyler complained as he walked down the steps and over to the group of three, "I have Hayley and a witch risking their lives, and you're blabbing my plan to them?"

"Look, all we're asking you for is a little bit of time, okay?" Stefan replied while Mallory sighed in defeat.

"How long?" Tyler asked with an attitude, "An hour? A day? Because every minute that goes by that we don't do this, they're at risk. You and Klaus already served one of them up for Jeremy to kill," He paused, turning to shoot Mallory a glare before he looked back at Stefan, "I don't owe you anything. I'm taking him out."

With that, Tyler turned on his heel. He was on the verge of walking away, only to have Stefan vamp-speed over to him, blocking his way out. "I'm sorry, but I can't you do that."

"Stefan..." Caroline suddenly called out, her eyes widening in shock.

Mallory frowned, on the verge of turning to her when she saw what Caroline did. All of Tyler's hybrids standing on the stairs behind Stefan.

"I'm sorry, but I can't," Stefan argued, not knowing what she was getting at.

"No, Stefan!" She shouted at him, causing Stefan to immediately turn to see what they were talking about.

Caroline turned again, seeing even more hybrids behind her and Mallory.

Mallory sighed in defeat. If it hadn't been for them being Tyler's pack, perhaps she would have actually dared to try to kill some of them, but she couldn't do that to him.

"Sorry, man, but you don't have a choice," Tyler told Stefan, causing Mallory to sigh in defeat.

At the Lockwood Cellar, Caroline, Stefan, and Stefan stood together, watching as Tyler gave orders to his pack. "Tyler, please," Caroline pleaded, only to have Tyler give one of his hybrids an order.

"Keep them down here until we're ready to bring Klaus in," He ordered in a stern tone, placing down a pile of chains, "Use these if you have to."

"Please, Tyler," Caroline pleaded, a genuine look on her face.

"This is bigger than you, Tyler," Stefan added in as well, moving closer to Tyler, "It's about more than about revenge."

"I know what it's about for you, Stefan," Tyler argued in an annoyed tone, "It's about the cure. You know what happens to a hybrid when he's cured of being a vampire? We go back to being werewolves, turning on every full moon. We could give a rat's ass about the cure."

"Tyler, come on!" Mallory shouted, an aggravated look on her face, "Don't do this."

"No! I needed you on my side, Mal." Tyler complained, letting out a large sigh, "That's all I wanted. And I thought you were. You don't even care about the cure. You don't want to take it. And you don't care about Elena taking it either. So why do you want to stop me so badly?"

Mallory was silent for a long moment. All sadness and genuine concern disappeared from her face. She stared at Tyler, a cold look on her face. "You want to know why I want to stop you?" She asked, angrily stepping forward, "Because I know you will fail. I know it better than anyone. Klaus' own father couldn't bloody defeated him and Klaus was afraid of the man. Bonnie tried to defeat him. She failed. What makes you think you won't fail as well?"

"Thanks for having faith in me, Mal," Tyler replied, letting out a large scoff as his face filled with betrayal.

"Don't come crying to me when you fail and Klaus kills everyone you've ever loved," She snapped at him coldly, tears beginning to form in her eyes, "Either he'll kill you or you'll be on the run for the rest of your immortal life. Either way, don't expect me to stand by you. I won't."

Tyler tried to hide his sadness. He turned on his heel, leaving without another word said.

_____

It didn't take long for Stefan to receive the call from Damon, telling him they didn't need the sword in the first place. It allowed Tyler's hybrids to let Stefan, Caroline, and Mallory free.

However, Mallory was the only one who still felt uneasy. Mallory ended up arriving at Mystic Grill, where she led Tyler and Hayley into the girl's bathroom.

"How the hell did you even get out?" Tyler asked Mallory, an annoyed look on his face.

Mallory turned to him, shooting him a glare as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I got out because even your idiotic hybrids recognized the stupidity of the plan you've created with no actual thought."

"I'm not going to fight with you, Mal," Tyler complained as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Oh, we'll be doing plenty of fighting if your poor excuse of a plan actually works and you actually managed to place him in someone else's body," She explained and Tyler gave her a deeply annoyed look.

"We've been through this a thousand times, Mal. I don't have another body," Tyler snapped at her coldly.

"Well, I do," She replied and both Tyler and Hayley were quick to ask her who, "Klaus' sister Rebekah. Caroline gave me the idea. She's got a dagger in her. Stefan's been hiding her coffin in the tunnels for weeks now. We dump Klaus in her body and bury her. It means we'll kill two birds with one stone."

"It's too late to change the plans," Hayley complained, causing Tyler to turn to glance at her.

Tyler ended up ignoring Hayley and turned to Mallory, a smile on his face. "Call Bonnie," He insisted, causing her to smile in satisfaction, "Make sure it'll work."

"Tyler!" Hayley complained and while Tyler turned to her with a smile, Mallory eyed her suspiciously.

She was up to something.

"It's a brilliant plan, Hayley," Tyler argued, agreeing with Mallory. He turned to his girlfriend, smiling as he walked closer to her. "You're a genius. You have no idea how much I love you."

He leaned forward, pressing his lips against hers. They kissed and after a moment, Mallory pulled away, a concerned look on her face. "Just make sure this works," She whispered to him softly, "I can't bear to lose you."

"You won't," He assured her, pulling away from her with a smile on his face, "I gotta find my mom, let her know I might actually graduate."

Tyler kissed Mallory one last time, just before leaving the room. Once he was gone, however, Mallory's smile faded and she turned to Hayley. "Tell me the truth of this," She ordered in a stern tone, "It won't work, will it?"

"You're smarter than you look," Hayley replied calmly as she moved toward Mallory, "But I've already gathered that."

"You're up to something. I know it," Mallory stated, moving closer to Hayley in a threatening manner, "I don't care about Tyler's hybrids and neither do you. I can see it. In all honesty, I don't care whether or not they live or die, but I do care if Tyler does so I swear to you..." She trailed off, roughly grabbing Hayley by the neck before she slammed her against the wall, "If something happens to Tyler because of you, I'll make you suffer in ways you couldn't imagine."

With that, Mallory let go of Hayley. She was on the verge of leaving, but before she could, Hayley suddenly grabbed ahold of her, snapping her neck within seconds.

Hayley sighed, glancing down at Mallory's body before she left the room without another word said.

An hour had passed and still, Mallory was lying on the bathroom floor. With her luck, April Young had found her and began to scream for help.

She stood up and ran for the door, only to have Mallory get up at vampire speed and block her path. "Holy Crap!" April gasped in horror.

"Have you seen Hayley?" Mallory asked her in a low, threatening tone, but April didn't seem to know the answer. She sighed in frustration, immediately pulling out her phone.

"You didn't have a pulse," April complained, still trying to process everything, "You were dead. How—"

"Care, it's me," Mallory spoke into the phone in an annoyed tone, "That werewolf bitch Hayley has lost her mind. She's up to something bad. I know it. Go to the Lockwood Cellar and make sure that's Rebekah's body is still there or we're all going to die. I need to find Tyler before it's too late."

Once hanging up the phone, Mallory forced a smile onto her face and turned to April, knowing her friends wouldn't quite like it if she made a meal out of the poor girl.

"Hello, love. You must be April. I'm Mallory," She introduced herself, slowly walking over to the frightened girl. At vampire speed, she grabbed the girl by the chin, just before she began to compel her, "Forget what just happened and what you heard. You found a drunk girl on the bathroom floor, but she's fine. Get lost."

"Okay," The girl awkwardly answered before leaving, earning a puzzled look from Mallory. She left without another word said, causing Mallory to sigh.

"That was weird," She muttered under her breath before leaving the bathroom.

She was on the verge of leaving, only to be blocked by Matt. "Mallory! Stefan and Caroline have been looking for you everywhere," He complained, earning a concerned look from Mallory, "Adrian's leading Klaus to the cellar."

"What is with that April Young girl?" Mallory asked in an annoyed tone, "She's everywhere! She just found me lying dead with a broken neck."

"April saw you?" Matt asked, a horrified look on his face.

"It's nothing, I compelled her," Mallory shrugged her shoulders, on the verge of walking away when Matt spoke up.

"Mallory, she's wearing Jeremy's vervain bracelet," He complained, causing Mallory to turn to him with wide eyes, "She can't be compelled."

"Bloody hell," She muttered under her breath, "Sadly, I can't deal with this right now."

An alarmed look on her face, Mallory left, having a bad feeling about Tyler. She vamp-sped in the direction of the Lockwood Cellar. Something wasn't right about Hayley.

______

Mallory soon arrived at the Lockwood Cellar. She walked down the steps, stopping when she laid eyes on Klaus. He stood before her, covered in the blood of his hybrids, whom he had just slain.

"Mallory Montague," Klaus spoke up, smirking slightly as he stepped toward, "What an unexpected surprise."

"Please, Klaus," She pleaded, tears beginning to form in her eyes, "I beg of you. Don't hurt Tyler."

Klaus walked over to Mallory, stopping when he was standing in front of her. "If you want to kill him, you're going to have to kill me," She demanded in a stern tone, trying not to cry, "But I know you won't kill me. You've had so many chances to kill me and you haven't."

Klaus lifted his hand, placing it on the side of her face. "You're right. I won't kill you. I won't kill Tyler, either..." He trailed off, his lips curling upwards, "Not yet, at least."

"Please," Mallory pleaded in a soft tone, beginning to cry in front of Klaus. She rarely cried in front of anyone, "I love him. Don't do this."

"I wish I could give you want, but sadly, I can't," Klaus whispered softly, pulling away from Mallory.

Within seconds of stepping back, Klaus had snapped her neck. He sighed in defeat, looking almost sympathetic as he stared down at her before he sped off.

Two snapped necks in one night, how lucky she was.

Hours had passed and Tyler traveled to the Lockwood Cellar, where he found all of his hybrids dead outside. He walked into the cellar, becoming alarmed when he saw Mallory laying on the ground, unconscious.

He rushed over to her, sighing in relief when he saw that she was still alive. He sighed, lifting her up slightly as he sat in the ground. He sighed, stroking her cheek as he stared down at her with tears in his eyes. "You were right," He whispered to her softly, "You're always right. Why didn't I realize this? I should have listened to you and now, look what's happened."

Tyler sighed as he glanced around. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," He told her, pressing a kiss to her forehead, "This is all my fault."
