Sophia's POV
An hour past and this little thing or whatever she is decided to walk over to the DJ booth and talk to Malik since she couldn't catch his attention,so she decided that she's going to be all up in his face.He doesn't even want her because he's already in a relationship with my best friend that's stuck inside of the house with her pregnant doing God knows what.I don't understand why most women have the audacity to try to steal another woman's man.It's unclassy,it's trashy,it's stupid,and it's extremely pathetic.I promise,if she tries anything on Malik I'm going to cut in between and tell her what's real because I don't play when it comes to my best friend and her heart getting broken.It's bad enough that she's been through a lot with her past,I don't want any of that stuff to repeat itself.I'm actually glad that my mom peeped something wrong or else Malik would have probably that girl's prey already
"I knew it! I told you! That girl is nothing but trouble" Sophia's mother said
"Man,why is that little thot trying to get with my best friend's man?" Sophia asked
"Because she's a thot!" Sophia's mother replied
"I wouldn't say a thot,honey" Sophia's father said
"What would you call her then? She's literally with someone else's boyfriend"
"It's not like she's planning to have sex with him"
"Benjamin,don't be so naive! Most women that goes to the club look for men to have a one night stand with.Most of them but not all of them"
"That don't mean she's doing it"
"Dad,please" Sophia said
"What?" Sophia's father asked
"Just please" Sophia replied as she patted on her father's shoulder. "Don't talk anymore"
"I'm saying something if she puts those filthy hands on him" Sophia's mother said
"I'm gonna say something,too because that's my best friend's boyfriend. That's my best friend's property,not hers"
"Do you think that it's a good idea for the both of y'all to go over there and say something?"
"Yes!" Sophia and her mother said at the same time.
"But why? What if it escalated too quickly and fist starts to swinging?" Jacob asked
"I'm not going to put my hands on her. I'm too old for that" Sophia's mother replied
"And I'm not going to put my hands on her either" Sophia said
"Are you sure about that?" Jacob asked
"Yes!" Sophia replied. "Well,only if she tries me and then I'm gonna put my hands on her"
Benjamin:I don't think that we would need any of that drama
"She shouldn't have approached my best friend's man" Sophia said
"She got herself into this mess" Sophia's mother added
"She should have went to somebody else" Sophia said rolling her eyes
"Man,you women are dangerous when it comes to situations like this" Sophia's father said shaking his head
"You try to sit back and relax at a club while some guy is all over your best friend's girlfriend" Sophia's mother said to her husband
"That's impossible for me to do something like that"
"Now you see why we're over here tripping!" Sophia said
"Well,he looks pretty secure to me.He's not going anywhere with that girl"
"Even though she trying her hardest,but your dad is right. Malik is looking very uninterested over there" Jacob said
{DJ booth}
"Look,I have a girlfriend. You should go somewhere else with that flirting" Malik said
"Oh,come on! She's not here with you" The random female said
"That's because she's back at home with her pregnant cousin keeping her some company"
"Instead of being here with you? Sounds unfair to me"
"Yea,not really,ma'am"
"You can call me Kandy but with the letter K"
"The letter K?" Malik asked
"Yes" Kandy replied as she smiled. "Like K for kids or kissing"
"Why are you smiling?" Malik asked
"I can't smile now?" Kandy asked as Malik rubbed his beard
"Yea,you can my bad" Malik replied
"It's all good. Do you wanna go and get a drink with me since you're done doing your thing?" Kandy asked
"I'm good,I already had enough to drink. I can't be too buzzed because I gotta drive home" Malik replied
"Just one more drink?" Kandy asked
"I really can't,Kandy" replied
"You're a fighter,aren't you?" Kandy asked as Malik chuckled
"Nah,I just really can't" Malik replied
"What about just one little sip?" Kandy asked
"Woman,I got a girlfriend to go home to" Malik replied getting annoyed
"You don't wanna bring a drink home to your girlfriend?" Kandy asked as Malik sighed
"You're not going to take a no for an answer,are you?" Malik asked
"Nope" Kandy replied
"I didn't think so"
"I just wanna have one drink with you before you leave. Is that too hard to ask?" Kandy asked
"No,but I miss my baby girl and I wanna have her in my arms when I get home" Malik replied
"Please?" Kandy asked. "Just one drink and I'll let you go home" She said as Malik sighed again and looked at Kandy
"Fine"
{Sophia's Table}
"She's been over there for too long" Sophia's mother said
"I think it's time to go over there and protect my best friend's property" Sophia said
"I agree with you" Sophia's mother said as she gets out of her seat.
"Do the two of you really think that it's necessary to go over there?" Sophia's father asked
"To tell that girl what she's doing wrong? It's very necessary" Sophia's mother replied
"Especially to tell her what's real when it comes to my best friend's man" Sophia said
"I think that we should just let this go" Sophia's father suggested
"No!" Sophia and her mother said at the same time
"Or not"
"Jacob,can you watch my stuff,please?" Sophia asked
"As long as you don't put your hands on anybody" Jacob replied
"Deal!" Sophia said as she gives Jacob her purse. "We'll be right back"
"With Malik by our side" Sophia's mother added as she leaves with Sophia.
