"You may now kiss the bride." The Preacher said.
Devlin pulled me into a long, dramatic kiss. He even added a bit of tongue for show.
Everybody clapped.
Ashton was the loudest of them all.
We got married in Panama.
It was such a beautiful place. Devlin even rented a mini island. One that was isolated for our honeymoon.
A few of Ashton's family and my friends came to the wedding.
On the grooms side sat no one.
I felt bad; Devlin never had a family of his own. Except for Lucifer, but he kind of wants to destroy me and our baby.
After I said yes to getting married; Devlin convinced me, after a third round of sex, that we should get married next Saturday.
He said I didn't have to worry about the arrangements or anything. He had it all covered.
He was right.
Our wedding on the beach was like a fairytale.
And the dress was simple, yet fit for a princess.
With it's extremely long, never ending veil, it was perfect.
It had lace coming out from all around the dress. White flowers were assorted all on the top piece of the dress and along the bass of the gown.
In the back it dipped low, exposing my back dimples.
Devlin taught me how to press my wings on my back. They molded into my back; forming an outline of a wings, tattooed on my back.
It blended in with all the other art work on my skin.
Ashton did my hair and makeup, as usual.
When I told her about the proposal; she made it seem like I had gave her a bowl full of gold. With the way she was screaming and hollering in my ear, on the phone.
My stomach was surprisingly still flat. Only a little pouch had formed.
It wasn't to noticeable.
But it was still there.
I felt fine as long as I stayed away from anything that smelled like sausage. Just the thought of smelling it made me want to barf.
Everybody had a great time at the after party.
I danced with Ashton's little cousin, Johnny. He was only six, and kept trying to grab my butt while we danced.
I laughed, as I saw the look of anger on Devlin's face.
Johnny's mom came and took him away, when a slow song came on.
"May I have this dance with my beautiful wife?" Devlin asked me.
"You may." I say with a smile.
Devlin quickly dipped me and pulled me back up.
He moved to the beat with grace.
I had two left feet, but with him, I trusted him, as he lead the way.
"Two more weeks. And this baby is going to pop right out of me." I whisper in his ear. I tried to make a joke of it, but it was scary.
The whole giving birth thing, scared me a lot.
"I know." He nuzzles my neck.
I quickly change my mind to something less scary.
"I can't ever show her off to Ashton. I promised her that she would be the godmother to all my children." I say.
I look over to Ashton and see her laughing with her new male friend. She was hitting on him super hard. Her hand rested on his thigh; every time she laughed at his lame jokes.
Once everybody threw rice at us, we made are way to the motor boat. I stopped to throw the bouquet of flowers.
Women squealed as they tried to get to the flowers.
"Out of my way ladies!" Ashton yelled. She dove for the flowers like a football player.
I covered my mouth as I laughed.
Ashton held the flowers up high like a trophy. Another lady came up behind her and yanked it out her hand.
I swore I saw steam come out of Ashton's ears.
The two of then wrestled over the flowers. The poor petals didn't have a chance.
Ashton soon won and the men had to break up the fight.
I noticed that it was Ashton's little sister Kathy. They'r always fighting over stuff.
Devlin was clutching his stomach as he laughed.
Everybody wished us good luck. Along with a few photos for the press.
We were finally hitched and ready to start our new life together.
I waved a kiss at Ashton. Kathy jumped in the way of the kiss.
I giggled as they started to rough housing. The older men had to break them up, again.
Devlin started the mini boat. It roared to life, as we sailed off to the mini island.
The house was a small hut. The bathroom was behind the house. A canopy had a sling chair connected to Palm tress.
There was even a mini barbecue, with a bonfire and picnic bench.
The Hut had all open windows, giving it that tropical feeling.
A huge white fitted bed was in the center of the Hut. A big white canopy hung over the bed to protect us from bugs.
I bet Devlin was relieved that we had that.
He started unpacking our things, while I took a power snooze on the bed.
When I woke up, I was in a pair of my pajamas.
My stomach seemed like it had doubled in it's size from my little nap.
"Nice to see your up, sleepy head." Devlin said while handing me a cup of coffee.
"I thought that you couldn't have caffeine when your pregnant?" I said while taking the cup.
"That's not your average, everyday baby." he said, while kissing my forehead.
I set the cup on the nightstand by the bed. And frowned as I rubbed my belly.
"What's wrong?" Devlin asked, looking at my untouched cup.
"I really want a cocoanut." I lick my lips.
"I'll go see if I can find one for you in the kitchen."
"Wait, can you also see if we have pickles."
Devlin scrunches up his nose.
"Cocoanut juice and pickles?" He says.
"Yeah, it sounds good to me." I say nonchalant like.
He runs his fingers through his hair.
"Pregnant women sure do have weird cravings." He says while shuffling off to the kitchen.
"And scrambled eggs!" I yell to him.
With my stomach full of good food, I really had to pee.
Having a baby sit on your bladder was annoying.
If I even sneezed or coughed, I would pee a little. I changed my underwear like 4 times today!
Devlin was trying his best to give me the needs I asked for.
It's been 4 days since we've been here.
With it just being us, felt nice.
And the sex was incredible.
He would make it, as comfortable for me as possible.
It wasn't until our sixth day here, that my stomach was like a half cut melon.
"Honey you look fine." Devlin assured me for the hundredth time.
I was crying my eyes out in the bathroom.
I tried to put on my favorite blue sun dress and I could barley fit in it.
"No! I look like an oversized blueberry!" The tears just kept rolling.
My hormones were making me cry like Niagara Falls.
I couldn't stop them even if I tried.
"Well, your my sexy blueberry. Now come out catulus, so I can kiss that gorgeous face of yours."
"No." I say through a sob.
A cloud of smoke seeped in through the cracks of the door. It grew and materialized in Devlin.
"Fine, then I'll come in." He whispers. We were cramped in this small bathroom.
He placed a gentle kiss on my lips.
Layla kicked and Devlin laughed on my mouth.
He got down on the ground and placed his head on my stomach.
"That's right little one, your tata is here. And I love you even though you don't know it yet. I love your mammam very much. So much that I would do anything for her. I know I would give you the world if I could." he coos. Then he quickly changed to Latin.
He kissed my stomach and I felt Layla move around.
"I think she likes you." I say as he gets up.
"She likes your voice." he says while leading me out the bathroom.
"You can hear her thoughts?" I asked amazed.
"It's strange, but yes the sound of your voice calms her." he says with a smile.
I gently stroke my belly.
"Awww, mommy is here. I'll make sure that nothing happens to you." I say to her.
She kicked a little bit more at the sound if my voice.
I smile.
I thought that everything was going to be fine.
But all things have to come to an end.
It wasn't until my worst fear happened.
After we came home, Devlin had somehow made his stuff appear at my apartment.
While I was doing the dishes, my water broke.
