Hoseok scoffed at Jungkook's playful insult, but simply brushed it off with a light and feathery laugh, as he prepared the essential ingredients.

"Holy sh*t," Hoseok gasped, his eyes widening at the abundance of flavors hitting his tongue at once, "this is amazing. Now I see why that kid's practically addicted."

He quickly thanked his friend for the amazing and delicious recipe, before shutting off his phone and sliding it across the table. After taking a few sips of the tasty homemade beverage, little bits of energy made its way back into his bloodstream.

It felt nice having his muscles slowly regain their stamina, as he hated nothing more than feeling weak and vulnerable. Even though it was perfectly okay and natural to be out of breath or fatigued after an exhausting practice, since it'd be even more concerning if you weren't.

But still, everyone always put this sense of pressure on Hoseok, for being one of the more advanced dancers amongst the group. He felt this title of nobility, or responsibility, rather, to keep everyone satisfied.

Personally, he didn't like to think of himself as superior just because he may have some 'better' techniques in different categories than others, because that simply didn't matter.

Every single one of the dancers in that room were phenomenal, which Hoseok truly believed and always praised to them when they compared themselves to him.

So it really had nothing to do with making sure everyone knew he was more enhanced in certain skills than the majority of them, or being held to a higher standard than the rest.

No,,

It was his fear of disappointing them.

The whole morning, Yoongi wore a small smile on his face. It wasn't because anything good or fortunate happened to him for his own benefit, but because he was planning on doing something nice for someone else.

Specifically, Jung Hoseok.

Although, in reality, he was just paying him back from the time Hoseok kindly bought him a coffee at the café for 'hurting' his wrist, which Yoongi couldn't help but chuckle back at the memory.

Even though it was a few weeks ago when that happened, his tight and busy schedule barely made time for him to stop at the café and properly buy his friend a drink in return. But thankfully, his usual hectic morning was fully cleared of activities, so Yoongi graciously took this advantage to do just that.

And, on top of that, it wasn't necessarily out of his way either, as the café was moderately close to their school.

A weird and unusual sensation of giddiness bubbled up inside him at the thought of giving the brunet the drink, his heart shaped smile coming into mind. Picturing the scenario exactly only further built up his eagerness at seeing the younger's adorable reaction.

Since everyone knew that Hoseok had a habit of being excited over anything and everything. The vague idea of him jumping up and down over a simple drink just made Yoongi's whole morning, or more realistically, his whole day.

It didn't even occur to Yoongi once that this is something he'd solely do for Hoseok, or if it wasn't for him it was extremely rare.

All his life he's always been very strict with himself on how to spend his money wisely, thus reasons why he didn't particularly like going out to eat with friends, or do anything else that involved spending a lot of hard earned money just to be wasted.

Obviously if he owed someone money he'd pay them back right away, as he wasn't a jerk or total douchebag. So this somewhat applied to that factor, yet he didn't even consider it as a duty he had to fulfill.

He did it because he wanted to, out of the pure goodness of his heart. In fact, his mind was barely focused on the money spending portion, and more if he'd make it on time for school to give it to Hoseok before class started and the sweet gesture itself.

But even if Yoongi was paying someone back for money he owned, he most likely just spend the exact amount of money the other person paid for him.

However, that mindset was totally absent when applied to Hoseok. If Yoongi wasn't completely broke, he'd buy him the whole café if it weren't for his self control.

Well, thats a vast exaggeration, but you get the point.

Hurriedly jumping off at the bus stop in front of his awaited destination, Yoongi hastily waddled in like a lost duck.

He had absolutely no clue what to get Hoseok.

Wracking his brain to remember what Hoseok would order whenever he visited the café during Yoongi's work shifts, the faint memory finally started to come back.

"Oh, hi Yoongi!"

"What would you like?"

"Umm just a small matcha latte, thank you!"

Even though it pained him the think back to the way he used to harshly speak to the kindhearted brunet, he shoved those thoughts aside as he didn't have time to fall into another wormhole of guilt.

"Do you guys know where Hoseok is?" Yoongi asked, clearly short on time before the bell was scheduled to ring.

"Umm," Taehyung paused, trying to remember where Hoseok went when the two first arrived at the school building that morning, "oh! He's in the library, pretty sure he had to print something."

"Thanks," Yoongi patted Taehyung on the shoulder before rushing off towards the school library, praying that the dreaded ringing wouldn't sound throughout the halls while doing so.

Turning back to face the others, Taehyung just rolled his eyes and faked a sob, "He didn't even say a simple hello."

"Men," Seokjin scoffed.

☺︎︎☺︎︎☺︎︎

Rushing through the crowds of students who were also trying to squeeze in that last minute conversation before class started, Yoongi hastily made his way through the halls and up several staircases towards the library.

A wave of relief washed over him as he turned into the final hallway, where the library was located at the very end of it.

Not really looking where he was going, as the boy's mind was totally blank and just had the priority of giving Hoseok the drink, he suddenly felt himself bump into someone.

And they bumped really hard, as his jaw collided with the anonymous person's shoulder, with the whole of his body meeting the other person's torso.

Which, to Yoongi's dismay, had the coffee cup in between, making the lid pop off and spill all over his blue sweatshirt and onto the floor beneath them.

Of course, Yoongi grumbled, scrambling to pick up the fallen coffee cup.

Just before he was about to rush off to the bathroom to wash off the tea stain, the anonymous voice spoke up.

"Oh, my bad I didn't see you there," they snarled, the sarcasm and insincerity too remotely obvious not to pick up on.

Chul.

Which only made the situation even worse, since any other person would've bumped into him on accident.

But Yoongi wasn't dumb, because someone like Chul wouldn't sincerely apologize for anything or show any sign of remorse for any circumstance that he wouldn't gain off of.

However, not wanting to pick a fight, Yoongi just shot Chul one last cold glare, before rushing off towards the restroom.

He wasn't even upset about the fact that his brand new hoodie was now stained with a vibrant green tint of matcha, but how he wouldn't even be able to give the long gone beverage to Hoseok.

The desire of seeing his happy and cute reaction now vanished into thin air, his once cheery mood just seconds before was now downright ruined.

An odd sense of bitterness boiling inside him, Yoongi frustratingly grabbed a handful of paper towels from the dispenser in the boy's bathroom, and began anxiously dabbing the damp towels against his sweatshirt in hopes the stain would fade by at least a little bit as to not appear too noticeable.

It didn't help that the bell would now be ringing any second, which only added on to the piles of stress and pressure he already felt weighing down on him.

"Yoongi?"

Yoongi, whose eyes were as big as saucers, turned it head towards the familiar voice that he knew all to well not to recognize.

"Hoseok?" He squeaked out, ears turning a faint red.

"What happened to your sweatshirt?" Hoseok curiously asked, voice full of genuine concern as he took a fistful of damp paper towels himself and helped wipe off the stain, making an already flustered Yoongi nervously gulp at the action.

Sh*t, Yoongi thought.

The last thing he wanted to say was to tell Hoseok that Chul made him spill the drink that he had bought for the younger, knowing in his gut that Hoseok would automatically blame himself and start apologizing as if it was his fault.

So, he just went with a little fib.

"Oh-um, I just spilled something on myself," Yoongi stammered.

Hoseok chuckled, "Isn't that Namjoon's job?"

"I had a rough morning," Yoongi pouted, playfully rolling his eyes.

"Want to tell me about it?"

Yoongi's heart immediately softened at the sweet gesture, but quickly shook his head back and forth as he couldn't, really, without Hoseok accusing himself.

"Okay," Hoseok sighed, "let's get to class, Yoonie," a small smile lacing his pink tinted lips.

A rosy blush once again found its way to Yoongi's baby-soft cheeks, since the adorable nickname still had an effect on him and took some getting used to.

His heart fluttered as he looked up to be met with Hoseok's bright and hopeful smile, immediately washing away all recollections of the incident with Chul earlier as if it had never even happened.
