"Do you want to hangout with us? We're going to a party." I ask Maxi as Jesse and him push the trailer with the signs and flags in the tunnel. Then Jesse slides the door down and locks it.
"Yeah we're going to a party with some mates want to come?" Jesse asks
"Uh sure. I don't have any plans"
"Great!" I smile, "It'll be fun!" I beam hooking my arm in his and my brother's. "Let's go!" I skip excited, I love parties. Not because of the grogs (Booze) and getting pissed (drunk) more for meeting more people in the bundle and just hanging out in my favourite spot of the beach, plus I couldn't drink tonight I had a Trainee Test tomorrow which means I won't be staying up until the sun rises.

First we grab something quick to eat at McDonald's that's right by the beach before leaving to get to our beach.
When we get to Maroubra, and stop at a small beach, Jesse driving and Maxi in the front and me in the back, we head into the beach where a boom fire was being lit at the moment we stepped on the beach.
"Is this Legal?" Maxi asks
I laugh, "Yes, the guy who owns this beach is the guy who's lighting it." I tell him pointing at Daren one of the members of the Bra Boys.
The people around it cheer, "Yew!" A couple of them shout.
"Oh okay." I see him let out a breath he's been holding. "Never been o a beach party before."
"Well it's loads of fun, just don't be one of those guys who starts a fight for no apparent reason or purpose. K?" I smile patting his back.
"Their all friendlies to new people so don't worry." Jesse reassures him.
"Oh okay."
Jesse slaps my arm behind Maxi's back and gives me a look saying 'stop saying stuff that hardly happens.' "Ow! Okay." I whisper frowning.
"Well those hardly happen anyways." Jesse chuckles giving me a look again.
"What?" I mouth then roll my eyes.
I watch as some guys run into the water surfing a couple of waves before the sun fully sets.
"Hey Tim mate!" Jesse calls he looks back at us, "Be back in a few minutes."
"Okay." I smile
Someone turns the music on and turns it to the max. Upbeat rap plays through.
"So what do you want to do?" Maxi shouts but the music is to loud as we are closer to the boom fire.
"Pardon me!" I shout putting my ear closer to him to hear.
"What do you want to do?" He asks again this time I hear him.
"Oh I don't know. You want to grab a drink or something and hangout somewhere a little quieter?" I shout a little as Maxi leans in to hear me.
He pulls his head away getting the message, "Yeah sure sounds like a great idea!"
We go over to the table that has been set up on the beach and I grab a water bottle while Maxi takes a beer from the ice box and opens it taking a sip.
"Follow me!" I shout and he nods.
I walk to my favourite spot of the beach far enough from the music that it's in the distance loud not but not loud enough for that you can't here yourself think or other so talk to you. I hike up the small hill.
I sit on the patch of trimed grass. "Come sit." I tell him patting on the grass beside me as I look up at his tall figure.
He sits down, "It's nice over here." He tells me
"Yeah, I love to go over here and just take everything in. Perfect place for if you need a break." I tell him looking out to the red and orange tranquil sunset as it reflexes it's orange tinge on the clouds above. "I love to watch the sunsets here." I tell him with awe in my voice. I turn to Maxi to see him turn his head from looking at me to look at the sunset as well. "Don't you?"
"Yeah love it, it's the best spot that's for sure."
"So Maxi tell me abou—"
"Amy hey." I look up to see my best friend
"Hey Brook!" I smile
"Who's this handsome fellow?" She ask, "New boyfriend?"
My eyes widen and I blush from the thought, "What? No! He's one of Jesse's friends from work."
"Oh good! Cuz we need two more singles." She pauses, "Your single right?" She asks Maxi
"Yeah."
What?! Him? Single? No waaaaay!
"Why do you need two more singles? What ya up to now?"
"Oh gurl you don't have to worry!"
When she says that then I worry because usually it's something to worry about.
I squint my eyes questioningly. She playfully slaps my arm and laughs, "Me and a couple of friends are taking it back old school and we gonna play some spin the bottle."
Okay this time is wasn't bad.
"Uh...I don't know if Maxi and I are up to that.." I tell her
"You okay with it?" She asks him
"Uh I guess." He says rubbing the back of his neck.
"Okay then let's go." She grabs both of our arms
"Do I get a day in this?!" I ask as we're dragged down the hill.
"Nope, your my friend I'm not supposed to ask."
I look at her back opened mouth scrunching my nose and furrow my eyebrows, I look at Maxi and he chuckles.
"What! How does that even make any sense?!" I ask I take a step and the sand collapses under my foot. I fall back but Maxi catches me with his free arm.
My cheeks flush, "Thanks."
"No problem." He smile
We get to a small group of three that sits on the sand with a beer bottle on a piece of cardboard.
I remember doing this game when we were in middle school grade 8 my crush being one of the people in the group and it didn't turn out so well. Yes we kissed but my heart got broken as he later one said how horrible it was.
"Brooklyn you know that I hate this game...remember what happened with Tyler back in grade 8."
"Oh I know. But we're going to get you to like it or at least gain something happy from it." I roll my eyes
Maxi quirks his eyebrow, "What happened?"
I go to speak but Brooklyn answers letting go of our arms. "Her ass wipe of a crush said that it was horrible kissing her was after the game to one of his friends and she happened to be...behind then when he said it, she was actually going to go ask him out because she thought that he—"
"Okay that's good enough." I tell her cutting her off.
"Okay." She says, "Don't have to get salty."
"I'm not salty." I sulk, ugh I am salty. Why am I salty about something that happened 10 years ago?
"Well that was a douche move of him." Maxi says
"It sure was, she cried for days! oh boy not to mention the ass of a boyfriend she had a few months ago Jesse best his aurse up for what he did to—"
"Brook stop please." I tell her sighing not wanting to think of him right now.
"Okay, okay."
I sigh tucking my hair behind my ears as I join the small group sitting on the cold sand. The music got quieter as someone probably asked if they can turn it down. Maxi sits beside me.
I look around for Jesse but he's no where to been seen, wow Jess ditch friend much.
Brooklyn claps her hands, "Okay! Time to play some spin the bottle!" She shouts excitingly.
