"Choices made by fate,so we're here!"
Hoseok said dramatically while smiling brightly and proudly.
I frowned and looked at the place he brought me to and then back at him.
"Are you sure that being here is the choice of fate and not the choice of Jung Hoseok?"I asked,still frowning.
Hoseok kept smiling under his mask,proudly.
And then I stared back at the place 'fate' brought me to.It was a beautiful four story building with wooden decorations and glass door in the front.The inside of the building could be seen.That was beautiful too with expensive marble flooring and stuff.And on top of the glass door it was written "Sungho Music Academy".
I sighed.
Two months passed by really quickly and the date if BTS's Tour was fixed and it was next week.Hoseok wouldn't be able to spend anytime with me this whole week so he decided to that we should hang out this evening and make the most out of it.He said that we should take a walk around the streets of Seoul and see the beauty of it without actually having a destination in mind.Just wander around.I really like the idea.The streets of Seoul are really pretty at night.And I won't be seeing him for months after so I didn't want to miss out on this opportunity.I ended my shift early at the cafe somehow and took a day off from the bar.And we started wandering aroundat 6 pm.The streets were really pretty.We walked in some of the busiest streets of Seoul.It was really fun to see so many different kinds of people .I was having so much fun with him.
And somehow after wandering around for about an hour we landed in front of a music academy.And he's saying fate brought us here.
I just thought we were wandering without destination but this little bitch had planned this,hadn't he?
He was still smiling brightly under his mask.
"Hoseok-ah,didn't I tell you I will think about piano and then give you an answer.Stop being so childish,"I said.
"Come on.It has been almost 9 months since you said that.I couldn't possibly wait for more.You are wasting your talent."
"No,Hoseok.I'm not ready,"I said while looking away.
"Oh,you so are but you are just scared.Piano is associated with a lot of painful memories of yours.I know that you don't want to relive those memories.But Eunji-ah..you need to do this.And you want to do this.You know that,don't you?"
"I know but it's just.."I stopped,I don't know what to say.
"Trust me when I say this,my dance chased away all my demons.Your piano will too.By this you can know how important and precious you are.The memories you are running away from won't haunt you anymore.You will learn to love yourself.So give it a try."
"Hoseok-ah.."
"And this Academy is my sister's friend's.They would treat you amazing here."
"Well..good but.."
Hoseok held my shoulders and turned me to look right in to his eyes,"Eunji-ah?Please give it a try."
I didn't reply.
"For your sake?"Hoseok asked.
I still didn't reply.
"Fine then,for my sake?"He asked.
I still didn't say anything.
"If you ever valued me and our friendship you will get admitted here,"Hoseok said very seriously,"And start playing piano again."
I narrowed my eyes.
Geez,why's he so dramatic?
But I sighed looking at his serious eyes.
"Fine,Hoseok-ah.I would give it try,"I said and his eyes immediately lit up.
"But.."I said,"Not now.After a few day...."
I couldn't even finish my sentence before something very unexpected happened.
I was suddenly pushed into the glass door of the academy and was about to fall down but someone caught me.I turned to see a woman around my age.I quickly stood straight and looked at her.
She smiled,"Hello,Eunji-sshi.I am Elena.Your piano instructor."
I didn't reply and tried to fathom this situation.I'm currently in this fancy ass music academy.I am in front of a piano instructor.She knows my name.So That means she was already informed about me.I didn't come here on my free will.I was pushed by Hoseok.
I turned towards the glass door and say Hoseok standing outside proudly.He had an eye to eye smile.
This rascal planned all this beforehand?
I was about to run towards the door and kill Hoseok but I was caught by Elena.I turned to her and smiled,"I will be back in a minute."
She smiled,"I was instructed to not let you out and take you straight to the practice room.Even if you protest."
I was shocked at how much Hoseok had planned beforehand.
"I think there is a mistake.."
Elena shook her head and grabbed my hand tighter,"No,there's no mistake.Let's go to the practice."
"No,but.."
She didn't give me any chance to explain just started dragging me.I couldn't stop her because she turned out to be really strong and wouldn't let go even if o protested.
I was furious.I turned towards the glass door while being dragged and saw Hoseok standing there.When he saw me looking he even waved at me happily.
"I WILL KILL YOU!"I shouted while looking at him.
But he just started doing some silly victory dance and that made me more furious.The few people that were in the lobby minding their own business till now just turned to me curiously.
Elena brought me to a huge ass room on the second floor.There was a single grand piano in the room.And the room was beautiful and fancy.There was air conditioner,marble flooring,expensive paintings and beautiful wall.Elena made me sit in front of the piano and went put some music sheets in front of me.
She smiled,"Let's start the lesson,shall we?"
Well...do I have another option?
No,right?
One and a half hour passed by way earlier than I thought.Elena was an amazing teacher and I wasn't doing as bad as I thought I would.Elena praised me a lot and to be honest I wasn't minding the experience.The painful memories didn't come flooding into my mind like I thought they would.Perhaps because I wasn't alone now.
I was really hesitant at first but Elena helped me and as time went by I became less scared.It was fun.I loved playing it after such a long time.
I rediscovered my love for piano and music.This felt important and I felt happy.Really happy.Hoseok was right.
Our lesson was about to end.I was playing for the last time tonight.Elena said that we should start by practicing like beginners.So I was playing a beginner's practicing song Swan lake theme by Tchaikovsky.Even if it was for beginners I was really having fun playing it.I was so engrossed in the music that I had my eyes closed.So I failed to notice Hoseok entering the room.
At one point of playing I opened my eyes and my eyes immediately landed on Hoseok.Who was leaning against the closed door and enjoying the music.He was crossing his arms on his chest.He wasn't wearing his bucket hat or mask now.He smiled when he saw me looking at him.
Why is he looking so handsome suddenly?
I continued playing and frowned at him.
"I hate you,"I mouthed while playing.
As soon as I did that both me and Hoseok let out a laugh and then we smiled at each other.
We both knew it was a lie.
