"You carried me to my house?" Taehyung practically yelled, eyes full of disbelief.

"Yes now shhh so people don't stare at us," Hoseok scolded in a hushed voice, latching his arm around Taehyung's shoulder to drag him further away from the houses on their block.

The cool morning air bit at their skin, leaving tiny goose bumps on their arms as the two attempted at warming themselves up with  sweater paws. It was only in the fifties, yet fall was nearing so the temperatures were slowly  dropping each day.

"Why didn't you guys just wake us up?"

"We tried that, but y'all are stubborn."

"Hmph," Taehyung pouted, crossing his arms in front of his chest protectively.

Yet, in the time span of about twenty seconds, Taehyung's furrowed eyebrows soon quirked up, a mischievous grin replacing his pout.

Hoseok stared at him questionably, "Oh god what are you thinking now?"

"Soo who did you drop off last?" Taehyung inquired nonchalantly, as to make it seem like a casual question.

"Yoongiiii," Hoseok hesitantly dragged out the last few letters.

"Ah," Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows, earning a playful shove from Hoseok.

"The f*ck is wrong with you?"

"You love me," Taehyung pecked Hoseok's cheek, before collapsing into a fit of giggles.

Clearly unamused, Hoseok just rolled his eyes, "Yeah, you're lucky I do," he mumbled under his breath, before pulling Taehyung along the sidewalk.

"Hey I was just kidding, I didn't even say anything!" Taehyung defended himself.

"I didn't need words to get what you were applying to, you weirdo."

A chain of laughter from Taehyung followed after those words, causing Hoseok having to basically pull him the entire way to school.

Their shoes crunched under the new fallen red, orange, and yellow leaves, as they skidded along the sidewalk with their younger sisters following behind.

Fall had always been Hoseok's favorite season, with the brisk morning air pricking at your skin, yet not to an uncomfortable point as to getting numb or frost bitten.

It was perfect.

Leaves floated down from trees in a graceful and picturesque way, as the former greens soon turned to an ombré at the tips. It was like existing in a painting, as human eyes often couldn't comprehend the actual beauty of nature before them.

Before Taehyung and Hoseok walked to their morning class with Jimin together, the two decided to stop by their lockers first to pick up a few things, by Taehyung's petty requests.

Fighting through the morning rush of students, the pair eventually made it to their awaited destination, a hall filled with rows and rows of tall blue lockers.

"Okayyyy I just needa get- oh do you think we'll need our book today?" Taehyung asked, shoving his hand into the jumbled mess inside his locker, tongue sticking out in frustration.

"Just take it in case," Hoseok sided with, barely sparing the younger a look as he scrolled through his Twitter feed.

Taehyung jumped up from his crouched position on the floor, popping up like a weasel in front of Hoseok, "Okie, I'm ready!"

"Ah don't do that!" Hoseok screeched, eyes widened from his friend's sudden appearance next to him, as nearly all his breath had been sucked out of his lungs.

Giggling like a maniac, Taehyung just wrapped his arm around the elder's shoulder before the two started to head their way to class.

Almost succeeding.

Until they were interrupted.

"Oh, hey guys! You walking to class?" Lee Chul randomly butted in, scaring them both.

A faint blush coated Hoseok's cheeks as Chul made quick eye contact with him, his light brown hazel eyes staring into his.

Not wanting to sound rude, Hoseok managed out a stuttered, "U-uhh y-yeah."

Ah f*ck get a hold of yourself

Although it didn't help when Chul walked alongside Hoseok, their close proximity making the brunet nearly faint.

Sh*t he looks so good today, Hoseok thought, slyly side eyeing his outfit. Realizing what he was doing and thinking, Hoseok quickly snapped out of the fantasizing daydream and scolded himself for basically checking Chul out.

Which Taehyung glared daggers into him for.

Feeling very threatened and small under Taehyung's intimidating stare, he just shamefully hung his head low and towards the ground, eyes admiring the marbled floor patterns.

"You guys are friends with Yoongi and Jungkook, right?" Chul curiously asked.

Feeling very creeped out by this, Taehyung sassily retorted, "How do you know that?"

Chul casually shrugged, "I see you guys sitting at lunch together."

"O," was all Taehyung could get out for sounding dumb.

Answering their prayers, the period bell rang, putting an end to the uncomfortable and uneasy atmosphere hanging over the three's heads, to which Hoseok and Taehyung were extremely grateful for.

Even though, that didn't matter since they all had first period together.

Yet Taehyung still took this chance to grab Hoseok's hand in his and dash off to class. Which left Chul standing alone in the crowd behind them like a lost puppy.

"Phew," Taehyung dramatically wiped off fake sweat, "thought we'd never lose him."

"Lose who?" Jimin interrupted, sitting next to Taehyung.

"Chul," Hoseok mumbled under his breath, cheeks heating up at the name.

"Hey why are you blushing?" Jimin whisper shouted, lightly slapping Hoseok on the wrist.

"I'm not trying to," Hoseok muttered with pursed lips.

Rolling his eyes, Taehyung nonchalantly stated, "This b*tch still has the hots for Chul."

Cheeks becoming even pinker, if that was still even possible at this point, Hoseok frantically slapped his hand over Taehyung's mouth to shut him up, "Ack don't stay that out loud!"

"So it is true?" Jimin perked his eyebrow up in curiosity, eyeing Hoseok suspiciously.

"Can we pleaseee not talk about this now?" Hoseok whisper shouted at the two, causing both to put their hands up in surrender at the elder's rare and cold tone.

Out of the corner of his eye, the said boy who had been the topic of their conversation came strolling into the classroom, holding a confident stance as if he owned the place. But, completely switching the attitude to balance it with some humbleness, Chul immediately greeted the teacher with a bright smile before sitting down at his desk.

Not even noticing that he was full on goo goo-eyeing Chul, Hoseok's cheeks turned a full on red when he turned around and made eye contact for a millisecond, his hazel eyes once again piercing into his soul.

Eyes as wide as saucers, Hoseok gulped and looked down towards his desk right away in order to hide his flustered expression. Both Taehyung and Jimin, somehow, completely oblivious to this.

☺︎︎☺︎︎☺︎︎

"Whatever you do, please please pleeaaasseeee do not mention Chul at the lunch table today," Hoseok begged his two friends.

"Hm fine, but only 'cause you're my favorite," Taehyung teased, earning a scoff from Jimin.

"You little hoe, what about us? Uh Soulmates??"

A smirk plastered on Taehyung's lips, he just playfully shrugged to mess with his friend's head before walking off towards his next class.

"I cannot cant believe this b*tch," Jimin muttered, before catching up with him.

Which left Hoseok standing there, gazing off towards his friends in the distance. Letting out a sigh, Hoseok just continued walking to his next class, feeling nothing but defeated.

It was if he was back at square one again, like in the first few weeks of the school year. All that progress of forgetting about his stupid crush came falling back down upon him, just with one interaction.

And to say that Hoseok was doing well at completely blocking out any thoughts regarding the incredibly tall and fit boy would now be a total lie.

Because one slip up, would only cause a dozen more afterwards.

Like dominos.

As soon as one falls, so do the rest.

All the progress Hoseok had been making was wasted, lost, and useless. He didn't even know as to why or how Chul enticed him so much; after all, all Hoseok really knew about him was that he played basketball and that he was hot.

Nothing near his ideal type.

That part still confused Hoseok immensely, sending the boy into a whirlpool of overthinking and deep analyzing the entire day, his mind clouded with pure frustration and self-blame.

With any other crush, Hoseok would just accept the suffering and deal with it.

But Chul wasn't any other crush.

Even though Hoseok has never witnessed or experienced this feared side of Chul, he heard many stories and experiences from his friends.

Especially Yoongi.

Apparently, Chul was impolite, selfish, and not to mention the incredibly rude behavior towards Jungkook and Yoongi for no reason at all. So why would a sweet, kind-hearted, little fluff ball like Hoseok fall for someone like that?

It was all a trap.

Like fish bait or a spider's web, being lured in with treats or a false perception and then having to deal with consequences later. Hoseok didn't want to be so sucked in to have to experience the manipulating, or real, side of Chul.

He needed to escape before it was too late.

☺︎︎☺︎︎☺︎︎

"Yoongi!"

Turning around to meet a panting brunet, squatting down before him to catch his breath, Yoongi snickered out a response, "What's so important that you need to run-"

"Tell me the sh*tty stories about Chul, please," Hoseok barely breathed out, as he was completely exhausted from running across the entire school to meet Yoongi in front of his last period classroom.

"Uh- why?" Yoongi responded, voice turning into stone.

"Because," Hoseok panted, "Um- well actually I don't really wanna explain I just need to know what he's really like. Not the general stuff, like what he's done to you and Kook specifically."

"That's oddly specific, are you sure you're okay?," Yoongi chuckled.

Snapping his head up to meet Yoongi's dark brown eyes, Hoseok dumbly looked at the boy in front of him, "Do I look okay?"

"Well, no- actually I'm not gonna answer that," Yoongi stopped himself mid-sentence, a sheepish smile forming on his lips.

Rolling his eyes, Hoseok pulled Yoongi by the wrist quite harshly, his finger nails accidentally digging into it. Light hand marks started forming on Yoongi's pale skin from the tight grasp, sounding a horrored gasp from Hoseok at the impact.

"Oh crap, I'm so sorry, did I hurt you?" Hoseok apologized, sorry clear in his eyes and genuine tone. Instantly,  he let go of Yoongi wrist after realizing just how hard he was unnecessarily gripping them.

"It's fine don't worry," Yoongi reassured as to not worry the younger, though continued rubbing them behind his back.

Not buying it, Hoseok took Yoongi's hand in his from behind the elder's back, gently massaging them as a parent would do, still obviously feeling guilty. No words were spoken between the two at the action, though it did catch Yoongi off guard.

Blushing at the contact, Yoongi decided to break the silence with an ice breaker, "Umm don't you usually walk home with Tae?"

"Already texted him," Hoseok blatantly responded, continuing to rub the part where he had gripped Yoongi's wrists too harshly.

Nodding in response, Yoongi blindly followed Hoseok's lead to wherever the f*ck he was leading him.

"Um, where are we going?"

"Café, I'll buy you something to make up for that," Hoseok nervously giggled.

"It's fine, you really don't have to-"

"Shh," Hoseok interrupted him, hovering a finger above Yoongi's lips, "my minds already made up."

Awkwardly nodding at the younger's demands, Yoongi just trusted that Hoseok wasn't kidnapping him and followed along the paved sidewalk, blush dusting his already rosy and frosted cheeks.
