—(Y/n) POV—
Catra has been teaching me to use the staff she gave me and I know I'll never use it but I don't know what Catra will do if I refuse to learn. Some times Catra will get distracted and play with my hair
"Catra why do you want to teach me how to use this thing?" I ask
"Because I want to" Catra asks
A note drops on Catras head
"Hey what the fuck" Catra says
"What does it say?" I ask
I feel my pocket and my note to Catra and Adora is still there.....oh fuck what happened to Adora!? I hope she's alive
"It's from Entrapta and she wants us to come to her lab" Catra says
"Where did that come from?" I ask
Catra and I look up
"It must have come from the air vents" Catra says
I put the staff in my pocket and we exit Catras room and we walk to Entraptas lab and I'm happy that Catra isn't dragging me anymore so hopefully my arms can heal
"Why is Entrapta so weird" Catra says
We enter Entraptas room/holding area
"Hey Entrapta" I say
"Okay, I--what is going on here?" Catra asks
Emily and Scorpia were building stuff and Entrapta comes through the air vent
"Catra! (Y/n)! You got my note" Entrapta says
"The one you dropped on my head from the air vent that says, 'Come to my lab'?" Catra says and throws the piece of paper
"You could have just come and got us" I laugh
"Yes, that's the one. I've made great strides in analyzing the data from the First Ones data crystal you brought me, Look!" Entrapta says
We see the room filled with a bunch of tech and screens
"Woah this is so cool" I say
"Where did all of this come from?" Catra questions and walks over to Entrapta
"Oh, you know. Here and there...rooms" Entrapta says
"Wow you can get around quick you have to teach me how to get through the air vents" I jokingly say and Catra lightly elbows me
"Were there people in these rooms?" Catra asks and plays with Entraptas hair
"Well, not when I went back to take the stuff" Entrapta says and I laugh
"You definitely belong here with us" Catra says
'You don't belong here Entrapta you'll do horrible things' I think to myself
"So! The data!" Entrapta says happily and puts the crystal thingy in something
The tv lights up and the crystal is on the screen and I'm confused
"Haha wow whoa" Scorpia says and scribbles on a note pad
"Look at these readings. It's incredible, this seems to confirm my theories about the techno-organic nature of First Ones machinery resulting in thaumaturlogical compatibility between magic and science!" Entrapta says and laughs like crazy
"So magic can mix with science and tech" I whisper
"I'm going to need you to try again, but this time, talk like a normal person" Catra says and boops Entraptas nose
"Magic and tech can mix?" I ask but no one heard me
"Scorpia seems like she understands" Entrapta says
"Scorpia is drawing stick figures holding hands" Catra says
"She is?" I giggle
"I call it 'Super Pal quad'! This is me, this is Catra and (Y/n), and I think it's clear, come on. I mean, I'm a bit of an artist" Scorpia says
Catra shakes her head
"It's looks great Scorpia" I smile and give her a thumbs up and Catra glares at me
"I looked at the rock, which is a crys-tal, and used math...wait, do I have to explain math to you?" Entrapta says
I laugh and Catra elbows me hard and groans
"Yes or no, did the crystal give you enough data to upgrade our weapons?" Catra ask
'Oh god Entrapta you've given the horde an advantage how how how could you just betray the princesses like that? I wish I could have just went with Adora when she asked me to join the rebellion' I think to myself
"Weapons? HA! This is so much bigger than weapons. This could change everything. Etheria's not just a planet. Whatever the First Ones did to it, it went deep" Entrapta says
"Deep? Like in the centre of the earth?" I ask
Catra groans in annoyance and pulls me closer to her since I was like five feet away from her
"You're asking me about my theories? I've waited years for someone to ask me about my theories! Hang on, I made a model!" Entrapta says
Entrapta drags us by her hair to some round thing with lights and string
"Woah this is cool" I say
"Behold! Etheria. The First Ones didn't just settle on the surface of Etheria, their technology runs throughout the planet's core. This whole planet it's--it's all First Ones' tech" Entrapta says
Catra and I look shocked
"And what are these supposed to be?" Catra asks while pointing at green lights
"Runestones. From the data I've managed to extract, they regulate the planet through the princesses. They're directly connected to each other and to the planet's power grid in a delicate balance" Entrapta says
"Woah" I say pretending to know what Entrapta says
"Which means?" Catra asks slightly annoyed
"Which means they're our best access point to hack the planet" Entrapta says
"Do what to the planet?" I ask
"Hack the planet?" Catra asks
"Hypothetically, but it's not so simple. There's only a handful of Runestones in the whole world" Entrapta says
"Those things the princesses have?" I say
"Runestone? You mean like the Black Garnet? Because, we have the Black Garnet" Scorpia says
'Scorpia NO PLEASE NO' I think to myself
"The Black Garnet? You have a Runestone? The Fright Zone has a Runestone?" Entrapta says
"I mean that's where shadow weaver gets her powers from" I say
"Uh, duh. It was my family's. But when the Horde landed, we gave it to Hordak, who then gave it to Shadow Weaver, who--you know, you tell a friend, he tells a friend, it's like, it's kind of one of those things" Scorpia says
"Those things?" I ask
Entrapta jumps on Scorpia and Catra pulls me closer to her
"Where is it?! Can I see it, can I touch it?!" Entrapta yells excitedly
Catra pulls Entrapta off of Scorpia
"Okay, calm down. What exactly are you planning on doing to the Black Garnet?" Catra asks
"If we hack the Runestone grid, we could boost the Garnet's power and use it for...well, anything. As a power source, as-" Entrapta says
"A weapon?!" Catra says
"Potentially! But if it's like my other experiments, the results will be explosive" Entrapta says
"Other experiments?" I dumbly ask
"I don't think Shadow Weaver will like that" Scorpia says
"Yeah so let's not do it" I nervously say
"Scorpia's right. Shadow Weaver won't like it. ...So, I will absolutely get you the Black Garnet. Leave it all to me" Catra says and walks off and I follow her because I'll be dragged along if I don't
"Is shadow weaver finds out which she will, we'll be pu-punished really badly" I say nervously
Catra puts her hands on my shoulders
"Shadow weaver is in trouble now I doubt she'd do anything" Catra reassures me
——3rd person POV——
Light hope shows Adora her guilt memories
Glimmer and Bow on the ground
Glimmer struggling in her restraints
Catra walking away
(Y/n) being dragged away by Catra against her will with blood on her face
Catra and (Y/n) being tortured by shadow weaver
Entrapta
"You feel guilt at these memories. It is as you said, your friends are endangered by your presence. It is better to let go now" light hope says
(Just wanted to add that Adora feels guilt towards (Y/n) and still wants her to be her friend but I'll spoil if I say too much)
——(Y/n) POV——
"C-Catra are you really gonna risk getting punished by shadow weaver for a weapon" I say
"Shadow weaver can't hurt me and I'm not scared of her and neither should you" Catra says
"But I-" I try to say
"I have to see hordak stay outside and don't you even think of escaping" Catra says
"I won't I pr-I swear" I say
"Good" Catra says
We head to hordaks sanctum and Catra heads inside and I wait nervously and a few minutes later Catra comes back out
"Hordak gave us permission to do this" Catra says and grabs my right arm and drags me to tell the others
"Why do you drag me? It leaves bruises and it hurts a lot" I ask and Catra loosens her grip a bit
"So you don't escape" Catra says
"I'm not going to Catra" I say but I want to escape but I have no where to go to
Catra growls and and we enter Entraptas room thing
"We have hordaks permission to do this so Entrapta do it and Scorpia help her set up" Catra says
I gulp in fear, I'm scared of what Catra will do and what shadow weaver will say and do
"Let's do this" Entrapta says and leaves her room and Scorpia follows
Catra puts her arm around my shoulder and pushes me forward to walk with her and we enter the black garnet chamber
"Ok I just need machines to hook up to the rune stone" Entrapta says
Entrapta leaves to get machines and after a few minutes she comes back and starts hooking them up
"I have some things to check on, Scorpia watch Entrapta" Catra says
I follow Catra out of the chamber and we go to her room
"Why are we in here?" I ask
Catra grabs more bandages from her drawer
"You need to change the bandage everyday shorty" Catra says
Catra unties the bandage and puts a new one on
"Thank you Catra" I say
Catra smiles and she is about to hug me but she grabs my hand and pulls me out of the room and lets go and we head back to the black garnet chamber
"Hey guys" I cheerfully say
"Alright, hurry it up, those machines aren't going to hook up themselves" Catra says
"Why are we hurrying I thought you said you weren't scared of shadow weaver anymore" I whisper into Catras ear
"They won't be hooked up at all!" Shadow weaver yells
I back away and I hide behind Catra like the coward I am
"Shadow Weaver! Uh---We just, uh--" Scorpia tries to say in fear
"Silence! Did you really think you could invade my inner sanctum without me noticing? I never thought you were so bold as to openly rebel, but it will be my pleasure to put you back in your place!" Shadow weaver says
I try to back away but Catra pulls me beside her and I feel safe for some weird reason
"Oh, Shadow Weaver. I can do whatever I want with this hunk of rock" Catra says
'Don't show her your afraid (Y/n)' I think to myself and I take a deep breath and I match Catras smirk
"Absurd, by whose authority?" Shadow weaver says
"By mine" Hordak says
The TVs turn on around the room
Catra bows and I do to because I'm scared as fuck
"Lord Hordak! I don't understand" shadow weaver says
"Catra and Entrapta have been working on a way to meld this strange First Ones tech with our machines to weaponize it. I found out...and was intrigued. I gave Force Captain Catra and her team my blessing to go ahead,So, understand, Shadow Weaver. I am displeased with your interruption" Hordak says
Catra looks at me with a smirk and I smile back
"My Lord, you're really going to let this--this princess tinker with my Runestone?!" Shadow weaver yells
Entrapta gets scared and clings to Emily and I want to cling to someone to but Catra will kill me and Scorpia is too far away and Catra would get mad
"Her tinkering has increased the firepower of every weapon she's touched. So yes, she gets to tinker with whatever she wants. Including the Black Garnet, which is mine to give or take, as I see fit" Hordak says
'Uh it's not really yours' I think to myself
"You can't... You can't do this! I alone have learned how to draw power from it, a feat no sorceress has done before! I have unlocked its potential!" Shadow weaver says and tries to defend herself
"And you wasted it on parlor tricks. Force Captain Catra, proceed. The Garnet is yours" Hordak says and Catra and I stop bowing and we turn to face shadow weaver and we have smirks on our faces
"Yes, Lord Hordak" Catra says
"NO!" Shadow weaver says
Shadow weaver explodes with shadowy anger and Catra pushes me out of the way and leaps away and I run to Scorpia
"Stop her! Don't let her touch the-" Catra says and I get my staff out but it's too late
"You will not take what is mine!" Shadow weaver says
"It was never yours BITCH" I yell
Scorpia lunges towards shadow weaver and gets paralyzed along with me and Entrapta but four years of being paralyzed by this....I'm used to it and I don't show shadow weaver I'm scared I keep a straight face but on the inside I'm scared
"Catra...?" I whisper
Catra dodges all of shadow weavers strikes
"That's right, run away. It's the only thing you've ever been good at! You have always been a disappointment. You've learned nothing from me!" Shadow weaver yells
"Oh, no. I've learned everything from you. How to predict when you'll strike, how to dodge, how to resist. You thought you were punishing me all these years? Wrong. You were training me for this day!" Catra yells back
Catra claws Shadow weavers face breaking the gem that was in there freeing us
"NOOOO!!" Shadow weaver yells
I'm set free and collapse on my knees and Catra helps me up
"You didn't show you were scared" Catra whispers
I smile and stand next to her...no longer scared of shadow weaver
"Come back...Come back to me! Come back to me!" Shadow weaver desperately says
"Scorpia, restrain the sorceress. We won't have to worry about her any longer. Entrapta, if you would." Catra says
Entrapta goes over to some computers and puts her goggles on
"Alright, everyone. Let's get weird" Entrapta says
The Black Garnet rock thing has a bunch of electricity surround it
"Look" Scorpia says
The shadows in the chamber collect at the rune stone and a blast of energy shoots up through the roof of the chamber
"Amazing! The Garnet is siphoning energy at a near exponential rate. Yet the output is still building!" Entrapta says
"What!?" I ask scared
"What does that mean?" Catra asks
"It means things are getting interesting" Entrapta says
"I'm confused" I say
"Let's check it out" Catra says and grabs my hand and we head outside and Scorpia follows
It's lighting everywhere and it's crazy
"Wow...What do you think it's doing?" Scorpia asks
"I don't know. But I can work with this" Catra says
Scorpia heads inside and I stay outside with Catra looking at what she has done and I'm scared I don't know what to do or what will happen
I just hope Adora is ok
