The Turquoise Lizard

The wind whistles through the trees
And i sit here watching him move with ease
He slithers through the fallen leaves
Senses riveted on his prey
He stops and observes,
His mind plotting.
Then faster than you blink
His deadly tongue strikes
The hunted is dead.
He notices me watching,
And nods his head.

Yes i just wrote a poem about a lizard and no i don't know why :)
