I laid in bed staring at the ceiling. Today was the day I been dreading. It was my older brother's birthday. Nick died when I was 15. His car got shot up at a red light.
I reached over grabbing my phone checking my notifications. My parents still didn't text me. Either they forgot what today was or they didn't care.
I went to the groupchat.
Nene: Ren you wanna have a movie night?
Me: I thought y'all wanted to go to the block party?
D'Asia: Fuck that party. We can do whatever you wanna do.
Me: Actually I think I wanna go out tonight. I wanna get drunk
Nene: You wanna get drunk or drunk drunk? 🤣
D'Asia: *makes way to the liquor store*
Me: DRUNK DRUNK
Nene: Oh say less 🥳
D'Asia: Y'all be ready at 8 !!

"This bitch look so innocent" Nene said taking my picture.
"I am innocent" I defended.
"When you wanna be" D'Asia said.
"Ok, we know the real" Nene laughed.
"Ain't shit that funny" Tj said.
Tj and Nene were always going at it. They fooled around a couple times in the past. I guess it was a love/hate situation.
"Don't start with me Tyrone" Nene said pointing her finger in his face.
"I'll break yo' fucking finger" he said licking the gar.
"Why you ain't lick me like that?" she asked making me and D'Asia laugh.
"Wilding" Quez laughed.
"Hey Quez" I said noticing him.
"Wassup lil nigga" he said.
"And why you out here in lingerie?" Tj asked.
"Not too much on her" D'Asia said.
"Exactly she grown" Nene said.
"Just because y'all some hoes don't mean she gone be one too" Tj said.
"I'm a hoe but you still want me" Nene said.
"Oh I thought a bitch that sucked my dick said some" Tj said.
Quez screamed making me laugh too.
"And you ate my ass" Nene said.
"Y'all so nasty" D'Asia said.
"Nathy nathy" Quez said.
D'Asia passed me the Hennessy bottle. I started downing it feeling my throat and chest burn.
"Whew" I said holding my chest.
"Done turned my bestfriend into a damn alcoholic" Tj said shaking his head.
"As she should" Nene said.
"I'm not even gonna drink that much" I said.

"Y'all I am drunkkkkk" I said staggering.
"Where's Nene?" I pouted.
"Probably fucking Tj" Quez said.
"This bitch can't even hang" I said looking at D'Asia sleeping in the chair.
"You needa drink some damn water" Ty'Shawn said.
"Don't tell me what to do" I said.
"Oop" Quez laughed.
"Ren" Ty said.
"Shawn" I replied.
"Come on let's get you some water" he said.
"I said no!" I said pulling back.
"Aight whatever" he said.
Quez passed me the blunt and Ty'Shawn shook his head.
"You smoking now too?" he asked.
"Why are you s-so worried about me?" I asked.
"Nevermind, you wanna be grown. Be grown then" he said walking away.
"Let him cool off" Quez said.
I ignored Quez as I followed Ty'Shawn. I didn't like when him and Tj were mad at me.
"Ren" I heard Quez call.
I kept following Ty until I bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry" I slurred.
"You good ma" the guy said.
I tried to walk past him, but he grabbed my waist.
"Leaving so fast?" he asked.
"I'm looking for someone. Wait, where'd he go?" I said looking around for Ty.
"I can help you find 'em" the guy said.
I smiled.
"You are so sweet" I said.
We were walking down the Avenue until we reached the end of the road where everyone was parked.
"He probably left" I sighed.
Once I turned to the guy he kissed me.
"I-I'm sorry. I don't even know you" i said.
"Get to know me" the guy said grabbing me.
He kissed me again and I tried pulling away. He slammed my back against a car as he pulled my straps down. He roughly gripped my breasts making me yell out in pain.
"Shutup bitch" he said putting his hand over my mouth.
"Aye, you good?" I heard.
I snapped my head seeing a dark figure approaching us.
"We good bruh" the guy said to the figure.
"I wasn't talking to you" the figure said coming closer to us.
As the street light hit him I seen it was Satan. Once the guy dropped his hand from my mouth I yelled.
"PLEASE HELP ME" I begged.
"Stupid bit-" the guy started.
A couple gunshots let off and the guy's limp body leaned against mine before slowly falling down. I was too shocked to even scream. I just stood there with his blood all over me.
"Yo, you deaf? I said let's fucking go" Satan said to me.
I snapped back into reality. I looked down at the guy's lifeless body before running to Satan. I followed him to his car and got in the passenger seat. He sped out of the neighborhood.
"Thank you" I said lowly.
He just turned the music up ignoring me.
Just when I thought today couldn't get any worse. I can't believe I was assaulted and almost raped. I pulled my phone out seeing it was dead.
"I live in the grove" I said.
He didn't respond as usual. I sighed looking out the window. Before I know it, I fell asleep.

I woke up to someone beating on a door. I looked around taking in my surroundings. Where was I? Suddenly lastnight's events came rushing back and I began panicking. I looked down seeing I was still in my clothes.
I stood up going to the door. I peeked out hearing a woman's voice.
"So you ain't been seeing me call you, Satan?" the woman asked.
"I seen" he said nonchalantly.
So he does talk.
"You couldn't answer? What if it was about your son? If you don't wanna be in his life just say that, and I'll gladly put you on child support" she said.
"You ain't calling about my son. You would've texted if something was wrong. You want some dick and ion got it on me. As for that child support shit, take me to court if you want to. I'll beat yo' ass in front of the judge. You know I just got out don't play with me on no police ass shit" he threatened.
"Yo' ass should've stayed in jail!" she spat.
The door accidentally creaked open more catching their attention.
"Is that a bitch? Really Satan? That's why you can't answer and check on your son? You a sad excuse for a father. I can't wait to see you in court hoe" she said pointing in his face.
"Fuck out my house Chrissy" he said pushing her to the door.
I heard the door slam and I nervously walked out.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know where I was" I explained.
"Yo' phone on the table" he said.
I walked to the kitchen and seen my phone on the charger. I unplugged it seeing I had missed calls and texts.
Tj: Wya
Tj: WYA REN
Tj: Yo on my unborn child if you don't text me back I'm running in yo shit deadass
Me: I fell asleep, sorry. I'm good 💙
I clicked out of his messages going to the groupchat.
D'Asia: Ren where are you?
D'Asia: Hello???
Nene: Bitch please text us back 😭
Nene: I'm sorry for leaving y'all. On god I'll never sneak away for dick again
D'Asia: I'm sorry for falling asleep on you. Just tell us you're ok. Somebody started shooting and we just needa know you're ok!
Me: I'm ok. I fell asleep. I'm sorry y'all 💙
I seen Quez had called me 7 times. Lord, he's gonna kill me if Tj doesn't first.
Me: I'm ok Quez! My phone had died, I'm sorry 💙
I didn't even open Ty'Shawn's messages because I seen he was cussing. I didn't have time for his shit. It was too early.
"I ain't know where you live and you wasn't waking up so I just brought you here" Satan spoke up.
"Why you ain't ask Tj?" I asked.
"He was gonna ask too many questions and it ain't my place to tell him what happened" he explained.
I nodded.
"Thank you" I said.
He didn't respond.
"Why do you do that?" I asked.
"What?" he asked.
"You don't respond a lot " I said.
"Ion be having shit to say" he answered.
"Can you take me home?" I asked.
"Yeah" he said.
I went back to the room putting my shoes on.
"You ready?" he asked.
I nodded following him out.
