[Y/N L/N] remembers nothing about her childhood.
Nothing, except that she was taken in by the Sound Dragon, Isychia, that she was taught Sound Dragon Slayer Magic, and that at some point in her youth she was implanted with a Sound Dragon Slayer lacrima in order to enhance her abilities.
It has been two weeks since the core members of Fairy Tail have made their return from Tenroujima, also known as Tenrou Island.
Throughout the continent of Fiore, rumours of their return have spread like wildfire. As expected, Sorcerer Weekly rushed in quickly to get the scoop on all of the juicy details.
As if to make up for the seven years the favoured members lost, everybody has partied their hearts out every single day. Everybody is here now - that's true happiness.
[Y/N] sat at a table with Romeo, as well as the recently returned members Natsu, Lucy, Gray, and Wendy. Erza stood behind Lucy's chair, and Bisca and Alzack watched them from afar with their daughter, Asuka, and Gajeel's Exceed, Panther Lily. Wendy's Exceed, Carla, stood on the table beside aforementioned girl. Happy also stood on the table in between Natsu and Lucy. Kuschel had made herself at home on [Y/N]'s head, nestled among her [H/L], [H/C] locks.
"Sabertooth?" Natsu asked in a questioning tone. [Y/N] nodded with a grim expression, eliciting a noise of surprise from Kuschel, who clung on, desperate not to fall from her perch.
"A tiger with sabers for teeth.. Sabertooth, get it?" Gray said. Romeo held up a finger.
"Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale even disregard them... they're currently the strongest mage guild in all of Fiore." he said.
"I've never heard of them." Gray mumbled, crossing his arms over.
"Yeah, they weren't anything special seven years ago." [Y/N] agreed with the Ice-Make mage.
"You're saying they grew suddenly over the last seven years?" he quirked a brow. Max leaned back in his chair from another table.
"It started when their guild master recruited five very strange, but very capable mages." the sand mage answered.
"Five people alone made that difference?" Lucy asked, awed.
"Ohh? I like his style!" Natsu grinned. [Y/N] punched his shoulder in a friendly manner, his contagious smile making its way to her face.
"So... what rank does that leave our guild in now?" Wendy asked quietly.
"You really wanna know?!" Happy exclaimed, round eyes bulging.
"You haven't heard yet?" Carla added, with a slightly ticked expression.
[Y/N] howled and slumped in her seat, earning a few wary stares. It had been a while since Fairy Tail had been so loud - seven years, precisely.
"We're absolutely last place." Romeo said, shoulders slacking.
"A super tiny, weak little guild!" Alzack agreed.
"The weakest guild in Fiore." Bisca added.
"Very helpful, you two." [Y/N] folded her arms lazily.
"Wahhh! I'm sorry for asking!" Wendy yelped apologetically.
Natsu jumped up, slamming a sandalled foot down onto the wood of the table top. Lucy leant to the side to look curiously around his leg.
The pink-haired pyro started laughing maniacally.
"Heh! Sounds great! How interesting!" he chortled.
"Wha?" Gray looked at him like he was a madman - which he was. "interesting for you, yeah..."
"You don't get it, do you?!" Natsu yelled. "I'm looking forward to the chance to try and climb our way higher! How many opportunities like that do you get?! I'm getting all fired up now!"
"Ah, geez..." the ice wizard groaned. Lucy laughed nervously.
"Natsu is just the same as ever..." Romeo said with a joyful grin.
"Yeah, I'm excited too." Wendy added, balling her little fist in front of her.
"And now that you're all back here, we can finally win take back our crown!" [Y/N] cheered. "Seriously, these past Grand Magic Games have had Fairy Tail too dependant on me... I didn't even freakin' participate in 'em, either!"
The card mage, Cana Alberona, appeared on the scene suddenly.
"Hey, have you guys seen Gildarts?" she asked, waving a hand. Her two bracelets on her right wrist clacked together.
"What now? Are you lonely you aren't next to your daddy for a second?" Gray said with a cheeky smile.
"Jerk!" Cana glared, nodded slightly towards Lucy.
"Ahh! Sorry!" Gray exclaimed.
"No, it's fine, don't worry!" Lucy smiled. [Y/N] backed up slightly at the sight of Juvia glaring from the request board. If looks could kill... the water mage's grip sure could. She sent cracks right through the wooden border.
"I wish my darling Gray would consider my feelings that way..." she whispered.
"If you're looking for Gildarts then Master... uh, I guess I have to call him Makarov now..." Erza started.
"I think Master is fine." Lucy chimed in.
"He went with Master to the old Fairy Tail building." [Y/N] finished for Erza.
"Alright! I'd better take this chance to go do my work!" Cana exclaimed, speeding away.
"Cana's devotion towards Gildarts is really amazing, isn't it?" Happy observed.
"That's the most powerful strength of this guild." Carla nodded, her paws crossing.
"What about your devotion to Carla?" Kuschel chirped, hopping down from [Y/N]'s head and landing between Carla and Happy.
Happy started spluttering wildly, blue face flushed bright red.

"S-seriously?!" Natsu yelled.
"You see, Natsu?" Max smirked, giving a halfhearted gallic shrug. "The past seven years has meant a lot to us, despite our core members being gone... we've tried hard to grow up."
"Natsu..." Wendy started.
"Lost to Max?" Lucy finished with a gasp.
"Let's go again!" Natsu roared, leaping at him.
Max stood face-to-face with him, dodging every punch he threw your way.
"Sand Rebellion!" Max cried, sweeping Natsu up with his Sand Magic.
"Burn!" he yelled, setting the sand ablaze.
"Go ahead, Natsu!" Happy cheered.
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"
"Sand Wall!"
Max blocked his attack with his own.
"Yeah! Go, Natsu!" you cheered. "Heh... you can try too, Max!"
"Aha... I'm not the man you knew seven years ago anymore, Natsu!" Max laughed.
"Unbelievable!" Vijeeter threw his arms in the air.
"Max's overpowering Natsu?!" Warren gasped.
"Then maybe we can, too!" Nab added.
Max and Natsu pushed forces against one another, sand versus fire. His grinned and his eyes met the former's hazel ones. He wasn't smiling.
"Lightning Flame Dragon Mode!" he screeched. "Lightning Flame Dragon's..."
"What's that?!" Max said, smile dropping.
"Roar!"
The attack missed his body, thankfully. Yet he stumbled anyway, and when the inferno of lightning dissipated, he stood, stunned.
"M-Max!" Kuschel exclaimed, flailing in Lucy's arms.
"Damn! It's not as powerful as I thought!" Natsu cursed.
"S-since when can you do that?!" Lucy gaped.
"Just now!" Natsu replied.
"Wow..." Wendy said.
"I-I wouldn't normally... give in." Max trailed off. "but... that was one heck of an attack."
"Woo! Yeah, Natsu! That's what I'm talkin' about!" you yelled.
"Now... who's next?!" Natsu grinned, his head snapping towards Vijeeter, Warren and Nab. All of them shrieked, making hurried excuses for themselves.
Natsu began laughing like a maniac again, baring his doglike teeth, before falling to the ground.
"It really costs too much magic power to use this..." Lucy sighed.
"Natsu, you'd better not fight with this in real combat." Happy agreed.
"I think it was awesome!" you yelled, punching the air.
"I agree!" your Exceed squealed happily.
"Well, Max did marvellous too!" Wendy said.
"Aw, you flatter me, Wendy." Max scratched his nape sheepishly.
"You're strong enough to fight Twilight Ogre." Carla said, once again with her ticked off expression. "why didn't you beat them and shut them up? I'm looking at you too, [Y/N]."
"Well, you're right, but we owed them a lot of money..." you frowned.
"Yeah! [Y/N] over here told us all that it couldn't be solved with violence." Warren said. "she's a true leader!"
"I did not! You had to lock me under the bar whenever those bastards came over here!" you yelled. "I would've kicked their asses!"
"Guys!" Gray called from on top of a rock. "We've got another huge problem on our hands."
You hummed and looked up at the ice mage.
"What is it, Gray?" you asked.
"Apart from the freakishly strong guys like Gildarts and Laxus, we're weak now." he said.
"You're right..." Lucy said, folding her arms over one another. "Even Natsu got a hard victory fighting with Max..."
"Wow! Were you really just flattering me?!" Max said gratefully.
"I wonder if there's a shortcut to make sure you get stronger, [Y/N]!" Kuschel chirped, toddling over to you. You picked her up and let her sit on your shoulder.

After distinguishing that the healer Porlyusica was, in fact, the Edolas counterpart of Grandeeney, you made your way back to the guildhall with your accomplices.
You arrived to father and son Macao and Romeo Conbolt arguing loudly.
"We're back!" Natsu called.
"Ah! Did you bring us back some magical pills?" Max asked.
"Max, you sound like an addict." you said, sweat-dropping.
"Just for Wendy." Lucy replied. The Sky Dragon Slayer gave a cute giggle.
Macao and Romeo were still yelling.
"What's the problem now?" Gray asked exasperatedly, putting his hands on his hips.
"Looks like a father-son dispute to me." Carla observed.
"Everyone for not participating, raise your hand!" Macao bellowed, raising his own hand. As well as him, Wakaba, Vijeeter, Warren and Nab did.
"Seriously, guys? Knock it off already..." Alzack said quietly, raising his hand slightly.
"I feel like I should be ashamed of this..." Bisca murmured, also raising her hand.
You tuned out, piecing together the bits of conversation you had heard.
'Participating... Macao doesn't want to...' you mused. 'The Grand Magic Games!'
"Fairy Tail will become the number one guild in Fiore again!"
"Yeah!"
"But... do you really think you can win with your magic power as it is now?" Makarov asked, stroking his chin.
"Yeah! Of course we do!" Macao yelled, suddenly having switched sides.
"If we win, the guild gets a thirty million jewel prize!" Romeo said dreamily.
"We're doing it!" Makarov shouted. Macao cried out in protest.
Jet, Droy and Warren all began protesting against the idea. Makarov reassured that they would be fine.
Natsu slung a lose arm around your shoulders, fire spewing from his mouth.
"I'm all fired up!" he said.
"Me too!" you chimed in.
"When is this even happening?" he balled a fist. You paused to count on your fingers.
"Three months from now!" you said.
"That's plenty of time to get ourselves in shape!" Natsu retracted his arm from you shoulders and pounded his fists together, one alight. "Fairy Tail's gonna be number one again!"
"Sounds great." Gray said with a smirk.
"Yeah! If we all work together..." Lucy smiled. You turned to Erza quickly.
"There's nothing we can't accomplish." she said.
"I've got to learn the magic Grandeeney gave me by then!" Wendy exclaimed cheerily.
"I'll help you, Wendy!" you grinned. "I'll show off my strength now that it's been seven years!"
"Wahh! You were way stronger than me already, though, [Y/N]!" Wendy's hands clapped to her cheeks.
"Don't worry! It's all one, huge battle festival!" you encouraged. "That we never win."
"Did you hear that?!" Happy called to Carla and Kuschel. "A festival!"
"This guild is a festival everyday, is it not?" Carla chuckled.
"I agree!" Kuschel smiled.
"Honour!" Elfman yelled. "Festivals are all about honour!!"
"Looks like Gildarts's wish might come true sooner than expected..." Cana smiled coyly.
"Seriously?" Droy groaned.
"Are we really gonna go?" Levy asked curiously.
"What's wrong with trying?" Jet tried.
"I... think it'd be best if we didn't." Alzack mumbled.
"Natsu, it's not exactly the battle festival you think it is." Bisca sweat-dropped.
"We've already decided we're going! Let's skip all the useless whining!" Makarov said. "Let's aim for that thirty million... ahem, I mean, let's aim for Fiore's number one!!"
"Team Fairy Tail!" every guild member screamed to the roof. "We're gonna take part in the Grand Magic Games!"
