"GET AWAY FROM MY GODSON!" Sirius Black yelled and punched Lucius Malfoy in the nose and he flew back the prophecy leaving his hand, shattering into pieces. Lucius looked scared at the pieces on the ground.
Other lights came into the room revealing some order members; Lupin, Moody, Tonks, Kingsley, and Authur. They flew off hitting the death eaters that were holding the kid's hostage. The children ran to grab their wands again. Luna still hurt passed out on the ground once she grabbed her wand. Hermione summoned her wand where she stood and joined the fight against the death eaters.
Spells were going everywhere and it was hard to know where and which point to shoot a spell. Hermione was battling two death eaters, the one who was holding her and the one who had Luna before she passed out.
The Slytherins were half-heartedly firing spells at the death eaters because they didn't know who would be behind the mask, maybe even family.
Harry and Sirius were both battle Lucius who was ready to kill for failing his mission.
Moody, Tonks, and Kingsley were easily battling the most with their Auror training. The other children were just trying to help where they could.
Daphne was next to Luna trying her best to keep her wound from spreading further while casting spells at those who got to close.
Authur was with his children battling those who came at them.
"AFTER THIS! I'M BUYING YOU TWO DRINKS!" Authur yelled at Fred and George.
"WHY?!" George asked yelling as they continued throwing spells.
"LIKE I DIDN'T NOTICE THE NEW STORE AT DIAGON ALLEY! YOU BOYS NEVER WERE THE TYPE FOR EDUCATION AND A DESK JOB!"
"THOUGHT WE WERE BEING SNEAKY!"
"MOM WON'T BE HAPPY THAT YOU WOULD BUY US DRINKS!"
"YOU'RE OF AGE! WANT SHE DOESN'T KNOW WON'T HURT HER!" Authur yelled and grinned at the boys.
"WICKED DAD! YOU'RE THE BEST!" Fred grinned back and they focused again on the fighting.
Hermione was finished dealing with the two knocked out death eaters and found her new target Bellatrix and they started firing spells at each other. Bellatrix tried to get to her by taunting, but it really didn't bother Hermione as she easily blocked the spells and sent one's slightly darker back.
Over where Harry and Sirius were they were battling Lucius hard noticing he was getting weaker in his spell casting. Harry threw a cutting jinx at Lucius that hit his arm which was now bleeding as he hissed in pain.
"NICE ONE JAMES!" Sirius yelled and Harry grinned a little. The Weasley's finished with knocking out their targets and moved to be by them helping. Lucius now was only defending with so many spells being sent at him. Sirius finally saw a break in the shields and sent a final spell successfully knocking him out. Once he was down they turned to get the rest of the remaining death eaters.
Bellatrix noticed Lucius fall and knew that this girl wasn't going to go down by her, so taking the opportunity smirked at Hermione and apparated on top of one of the large stones looked down at the large group of fighting order members and pointed at them.
"Avada Kedavra!"
The green light flashed across the room. There was no time to react to anyone. It, all to quickly, found its target as the man turned around. The force of the spell hit him directly in his heart. The red-haired man looked at his children for the last time and fell to the floor. Everyone watched his soul leave and disappear into the stone veil.
The world was deafened to everyone who watched. Ginny screamed and holding her head in pure shock and fear as Sirius grabbed her. Fred and George collapsed by by the body telling him to wake up. Ron couldn't move and couldn't think. Everyone shocked and stunned just stared.
Bellatrix waited for the reactions slowly saw Potter look at her. She giggled and smiled a sickly wide smile.
Anger is all Harry felt as he watched Bellatrix turn and run out of the room. Harry ran after her.
"HARRY DON'T!" Sirius tried to stop him, he didn't listen and disappeared beyond the door. Hermione quickly followed as Sirius tried to follow too, but holding a screaming Ginny it was impossible.
Harry ran after her and they were back in the large Atrium. Bellatrix was taunting, "I KILLED A WEASLEY...I KILLED A WEASLEY! HE'S COMING TO GET ME!"
Harry raised his wand, "CRUCIO!"
While it didn't hurt the force of the spell knocked her down. Bellatrix smirked, "Oh...does baby Potter not have it in him to do it properly."
Suddenly Bellatrix was screaming withering on the ground in pain. Harry confused turned around to see Hermione.
"You have to mean it for it to work and Harry and I don't ever want you to be able to properly do it..." Hermione spoke and stopped the spell. Bellatrix was now whimpering and trying to back up in fear. "You'll lose part of yourself if you do it...so don't..."
Harry wasn't paying attention instead a voice was heard in his head, "Can't even do the spell, Harry. You can do it...you just have to mean it...like that friend...don't you want to prove you can be better than her..."
Harry turned to point his wand behind him now and Bellatrix was now laughing knowing who was nowhere.
"DO IT HARRY! DO IT NOW!"
Harry pointed his wand at Voldemort but he raised his hand and knocked the wand out of Harry's hand as Bellatrix flooed away.
"SO WEAK!"
"Yeah, I don't think so..." Hermione said and summoned Harry wand back to her hand and handed it back to him with her free hand.
"You always seem to get in the way girl don't you."
"Says the one who loves monologing for too long instead to taking care of business. In reality, it's mostly your fault there," Hermione raised her wand.
"You know you didn't get to far last time we fought and now I have had more time to practice more...I doubt you would get far again." Hermione said and raised her wand higher pulling Harry behind her.
"I'll just dispose of you two quickly then."
"NOT TODAY TOM!" a voice softly spoken entered from the fireplaces, Dumbledore.
"AHHH! THE GREAT ALBUS DUMBLEDORE DECIDED TO..."
"There he goes monologing again..." Hermione sighed and Voldemorts red eyes glared at her as she rolled them.
Voldemort took action now firing a spell at Dumbledore and now the fight broke out. Harry was just trying to not fall under the pressure of the spells being thrown while Hermione looked in wonder as the glorious fight. A chance to see Dumbledore go out was a wonderful thing to see and learn from.
Voldemort summoned a large flamed snake to attack them.
"Really...so original!" Hermione yelled sarcastically and Voldemort's concentration was broken again giving enough time for Dumbledore to summon a large amount of water from the fountain and swipe up the fire snake and Voldemort which was trapped in it.
Harry finally got up and was walking to Dumbledore and before Hermione could stop him it broke Dumbledore's concentration as he pushed both students back and the ball of water fell to the floor with Voldemort landing and screamed breaking all the glass in the room and it fell to the floor.
He raised his wand and the glass shot at them Dumbledore threw a spell up and it transfigured all the glass into sand. They covered their eyes from the sand. Voldemort suddenly stopped and disappeared. Dumbledore and Hermione looked at each other for a second and suddenly Harry was bent over in pain. He was in Harry's head. It seemed that he was going through Harry's memories trying to destroy him.
"You lost old man!" Harry said in Voldemort's voice.
"Potter. Tell the bastard to get out of your head," Hermione said wishing she could kick him for the message to sink in, but didn't.
Harry screamed in pain again.
"TO KILL ME YOU HAVE TO KILL THE BOY!" Voldemort yelled out of Harry's mouth.
"Gross..." Hermione said and Harry's/Voldemort's red eye's flashed to her.
"Harry it's not all the things you are like him...it's the things you are NOT!" Dumbledore said softly and Harry stopped moving. Voldemort was out of Harry now and stood above him and spoke to him.
Suddenly around them, people started showing up threw the floos. Everyone looked and saw Voldemort there. The Minister of Magic froze looking at the monster before them all. Voldemort hissed his plan ruined and disapparated away.
With trembling lips, the Minister spoke, "He's back!"
"About time you got your head out of your arse," Hermione rolled her eyes at him.
You would think that after everything they went through it would be over. No, they had to stay get statements done. Arrest the death eaters that were there. And worst of all call the rest of the Weasley's to say goodbye and claim the body of Arthur Weasley.
No one could ever forget the painful screams of Mrs. Weasley as she saw her husband there. Couldn't forget the way the family cried and grieved over the man who would never again talk, walk, smile at them. The heartbreak was almost too much for anyone to witness. No one knew what to do, what to say, so they stood there, a silent way to say we were there for them.
Hours later it was decided the Weasley family was to go home and figure things out while the rest were to return to Hogwarts and get some rest if they could.
Once they arrived back the Harry, Neville, and Luna just left in a daze. The Slytherin's just silently walked to their common room and sat down. Daphne buried her face on Theo's side. Theo and Draco lost in thought knowing their fathers were going to Azkaban as they spoke. Blaze just thing as he never knew what he was going to witness that night and morning. Hermoine just sat there not knowing what to even think, just trying to process everything.
The silence just stretched on and for once it was a silence of sorrow, of pain, of just confusing, and of fear. It felt as if the world was nothing but silence.
