Alexis's P.O.V:
It's already August and i'm beginning to doubt that Philip will ever propose to me. I barely see him around after the interview. Apparently he's been discussing some things with the king that i'm not suppose to know about.
I was walking down the hall when i saw David coming towards me. Carp! What am i going to do? Who knows what he's planning? I decided to just calm down and walked towards him. He smiled when he saw me.
"You were pretty good last night Alex." he said coolly. I nodded, "thanks." He shuffled his foot awkwardly, "listen i know that we've haven't talk since the day i told you i liked you but there's no need to be awkward anymore." I nodded for him to continue, "well i met this girl. Her name's Lisa and she came here for the competition but everyone knows you won."
So that was the girl that was with David that day. I have to meet this Lisa for myself. "I cleared my throat, "well good. Now we both have somebody. I guess i should go now." He touched my wrist and i jumped back in surprised. He pulled back his hand, "i'm sorry i just wanted to tell you something and i didn't want you to go."
I sighed, "what is it?" He rubbed his neck, "well it's just that i don't want you to get hurt you know. I mean he's a prince and you're just a girl. You look like you love him a lot and it'll be sad when he breaks up with you."
I crossed my arms, "and how do you know that he will break up with me? I mean we're thinking about getting married." He nodded, "i'm just giving you a heads up." I looked at him confused, "give me a heads up for what?"
He shook his head, "you know what just forget it it was just something i overheard. Probably nothing. Just be careful ok." He touched my arm and this time i didn't budge. He cleared his throat, "i'm alway open if you need someone to comfort you."
I nodded and watched as he left. What was that all about? Could he know something about what the king and Philip are talking about? I decided to shake it off. This could be another way to split me and Philip up and i'm not going to fall for it. Now on to finding out who this Lisa is.
I walked and sat by Jenny. None of the other girls really noticed me walking in. I whispered to Jenny, "hey do you know a girl name Lisa?" She nodded, "yeah and why are you whispering?" I sighed, "i'll tell you later now tell me where she is."
Jenny pointed to a black haired girl with blue eyes. She was wearing a black dress that reached her thigh. It was strapless and she was wearing high heels. Why would David date a girl like her? Apparently every girl had their eyes on her. What is she saying anyways?
I walked over to her. She glared at me when i sat down next to her. i held out my hand nicely and forced a smile, "hi i'm Alex. You must be Lisa." She rolled her eyes, "Does it look like i care?" All the other girls laughed like that was suppose to be funny.All these girls remind me of Samantha. All i know is that that voice was definitely the one i heard the other day with David.
I took back my hand, "i heard you were dating David." She smirked, "jealous much?" I shook my head, "i was just wondering casue you know he used to be my friend. She rolled her eyes, "yeah before you broke his heart by choosing a prince over him. What do you even want anyways?"
I sighed, "Well never mind i should probably get going." I stood up and grabbed Jenny. We rushed out of there. "What was that?" She asked when we were far enough away from them. "Follow me." I said. I lead her to my room and closed the door.
"Ok do you remember the David who told me he liked me?" She nodded. I sighed, "well the other day i heard him talking about splitting Philip and me up. But there was also a girl with him. And that girl was definitly Lisa." She looked at me shocked, "why would someone try to split you and Philip up? You guys are perfect together."
I blushed, "thanks Jenny." We sat there dicussing some things that we could do. Since i couldn't be around all the time, Jenny said she would watch Lisa to see if there were anything. Then something popped up in my head, "crap what about your cancer? I forgot to talk to the king for you and now i don't even know where he or Philip is."
She sighed, "it's ok i'm sure it'll work when i return home. There's no need to rush." I looked at her shocked. She was going to sit here knowing that there could be a cure out there. "Listen i'll look around this whole palace and look for Philip and the king." She laughed, "do you know how big the palace is?" I shrugged, "it can't be that bad."
Jenny and i looked around the palace trying to find them. Turns out she was right. This place was huge. I'm pretty sure my legs are about to give up and i'm going to colapse. Then we got to the wing of the palace that neither of us had gone to. I looked at Jenny to see that her face was horrified and she was clutching my hand tightly.
I gotta say it did look horrifying especially when the sun was about to go down. "Maybe we should go back and look somewhere else," Jenny whispered beside me. I shook my head, "what if they're here?"
Suddenly and arm went around my waist and i screamed as loud as i could. Jenny screamed too and a hand went over my mouth muffling the screams. I kicked and struggled out of the person's reach. Who was it? Then i heard someone familiar laugh. I stopped screaming and struggling realizing that the person that was laughing was Samual.
I turned around to see Philip smirking. I hit him in the chest, "it's not funny." Samual cracks up louder, "that was so funny." I looked at Jenny and she looked like she had seen a ghost. Suddenly she fainted and fell to the ground. Philip caught her and rushed her to a room. Samual call the doctor.
I held her hand the whole time. She can't just die now. Not when she was so close to finding a cure. Her face was getting paler and the doctor was injecting something in her. I started tearing up and Philip held me in his arms. Samual walked over to me and patted my shoulder, "it's going to be ok she's going to be fine." Philip whispered beside me.
I looked up at him, "Philip where's King Francis?" He sighed, "he's just in another room. Why? Do you want me to call him?" I nodded and Philip motioned for Samual to go get him. When Samual returned the king was with him.
"What is going on here?" he asked. I sighed, "King Francis do you think you could just let Jenny go back to Germany?" He looked at Jenny who was on the bed. The doctor had said that she would be ok for now but wouldn't be able to get up. The king sighed, "ok prepare a plane and have the girl fly back."
With that he left without saying another word. I looked up at Philip's eyes, "do you think he's mad at me?" He shook his head and pushed some hair out of my face, "no he's just stressed out these couple of days." I waited hoping he'd continue but he didn't.
Then i turned to Samual, "do you thing you could help her go back to Germany? And stay with her for a couple of days. You know just so i know she's going to be ok." He nodded, "sure Alex. What's her name again?" I sighed, "Jenny."
He walked out of the room to prepare the plane and to tell her family she would be coming home. Philip sighed, "did you miss me?" I nodded, "yeah and i found out who the girl that was with David is. Her name is Lisa and they're dating or so they say. She doesn't really seem interested in you but who knows."
Philip nodded, "i'll check her out and keep a lookout. Now why don't we go back to your room and you can eat and get some rest. You're probably tired after all the exploring you and Jenny did today. I looked up at him, "how did you know we were exploring?" He shrugged, "Let's just say that this wing of the palace isn't that very popluar."
He smirked a nd i blushed knowing that he knew i was looking for him. He picked me up bridal style and carried me out of the room and into my room. He set me on a chair and sat beside me. The maid had brought me my dinner and already left.
"So what did you and the king talk about?" I asked.
He shrugged, "it's kind of complicated. how about i tell you later."
I nodded, "ok fine."
"What's bothering you Alex?" He asked.
I sighed, "i just kind of thought you'd propse by now."
He smiled, "just be patient ok Alex. I just want you to be surprised when i propose."
I nodded and finished eating. After that i was so tired that Philip actually made me a bubble bath. Call me crazy but i felt like that was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me. When i walked in i was stunned. There were candles everywhere and the tub was filled with water that smelled like strawberries and all kinds of flowers.
Philip turned away while i took off my clothes. He turned back to look at me when i was in the tub. "Oh my gosh Philip i could sleep here tonight." He laughed, "i'm guessing you like it?" I nodded, "very much."
We spent the whole night talking about random stuff. I learned that Philip's first love cheated on him. I felt bad for the guy but was glad that she had cheated on him becasue who knew what might've happened if she didn't.
I told Philip about my other brother. The brother who was dead. He was driving me to this audition for an electric guitar player. We got in a car accident and i've always blamed myself for the accident. I always thought i should've been the one that was suppose to die not him. He was kind and smart and sweet and any girl would be lucky to have him as a brother. I took it for granted though.
After that i changed into my pajamas and climbed into bed with Philip. It was so comfortable laying in bed with Philip. I've missed him so much. He wrapped his arms around my waist and i heard the sound of the plane. I prayed that Jenny will be ok and drifted off to sleep.
