Author's POV
The sun rays entered the room where taarey were sleeping in each other's arms peacefully. Since the day Rey sneaked in her room to ask the reason of her anger it's been their routine to spent the night together talking till late hours of night. Sharon would sneak out of the room to meet Swayam and Rey to meet Taani.
Coming to the days, they were filled with fun, all they did was talk, roam around and explore Suryagarh's farms, monuments, markets and other places. All of them would have small trips to the market for more shopping, then camp nights in the backyard with whole gang and Rey's cousins bonding more. They were closer than ever.
Suryagarh had a lake sight too which was well planned by the boys who decided to surprise the girls and take them to a picnic. They did Safari along with more horse riding and shooting, which Rey came to know later that Taani was a pro at, she being a princess was trained in shooting. Her aims and stance was pitch perfect, she had many competitions with the boys too who tried to beat her but none could.
All in all their trip was going amazing and it would turn more phenomenal as from today their marriage functions are going to start. But both bride and groom were dozed off forgetting about their own pre-wedding functions because of their late night endeavours. As usual Rey has snuck out of his room and came to hers when passion took over their senses but before things could lead to a kiss Rey stopped himself as always. After that they chatted only god knows what till dawn.
The sun rays must have managed to irritate his sleep as Rey woke up with a grunt, shielding his eyes he yawned tiredly before his eyes caught her sight who was sleeping with his arm under head as a pillow and clutching his hand in hers. Pushing his hairs to a side he kissed her head, then tried to remove his arm from under hers hoping her sleep would not be disturbed. After he successfully too his arm out of her grasp, he put a pillow there so that she can hld something close to her, his eyes moved towards the wall clock and he hurried out remembering that today was their first pre-wedding function, Ganpati Puja and ha have to get ready. He came out of the room and saw Sharon coming from opposite direction looking sleepy, they both smiled cheekily at each other knowingly.
"So, pehla ritual, excited?" Sharon asked him who looked over cloud nine at the moment,
"You have no idea how much!"
He could only manage to say that, his face reflecting his happiness when he remembered about the time,
"Sharon, I didn't wake Taani up, tum utha dena, ritual ka time hone hi wala hai!"
Sharon assuringly replied to him,
"Don't worry best friend, aap jake ready ho, aapki dulhaniya hum le aayenge!"
He left not before hugging her, his best friend who has always been with him through every thick and thin, supporting him no matter what. Sharon entered the room and woke Taani up before they both started getting ready. Soon all the girls were in her room helping her as well as each other.
Downstairs Avantika and Ragini were already dressed and were now instructing all the butlers for the arrangements, décor and food preparations going frantic with Jhanvi trying to calm them down. Both the ladies were high on happiness as their kids were soon going to get married and just like every mother in this entire world, they wanted everything to be the best. The boys were helping them while Ranvijay and Rishi were with the priest discussing about the ritual when Rey came downstairs dressed up in his traditional attire for the puja along with Swayam. And the sight they witnessed was spell bounding.
The hall was decorated with long marigold flower garlands with red roses popping out in between the. There were huge pots placed in the hall along with fower and color rangoli. A big vessel probably for the havan was placed in the middle with three small chairs around and small stools surrounding it for all of them to sit. There were different thalis, one filled with sweets, while the other with fruits, one with puja samgri (ingredients) and the one with rice. One had flower petals in them and the last one was covered for some reasons. And last but not the least a huge Ganpati idol was there along with preparations of aarti.
"Wow guys, all this is just amazing!" Rey exclaimed coming to all of them, when Avantika saw him she smiled brightly going up to him,
"Rey, you look so good!" He kissed her forehead lovingly before greeting everyone,
"Kya Maasi, hume to pehle jesa hi lag raha hai, joker." Viren said slapping him on the back of his head causing him to whine,
"Bhai! Aaj to chod do."
All laughed at his puppy face when suddenly the hall went quite, Rey noticed everyone's gazes stuck somewhere and they have stopped reacting, not even blinking, he turned around to see what caught their attention or rather who??
And his breath knocked out of him seeing her coming downstairs along with the girls who were flanking her from all sides as bridemaids. Taani looked ethereal in the silk golden and pink printed saree, her long hairs open while the only piece of jewellry she adorned was a heavy necklace and a maang tika. Her beauty was truly out of the world that he found it very difficlut to look away from her. He had saw her before in a saree too in college days but she had grown so beautiful over the years that she looked like Aphrodite walking towards him. He saw her nervously fidgeting with her fingers and looked around him to see all the eyes were stuck on her probably the reason for her anxiousness. He just looked at her and passed a smile making her take a relieved breath.
Taani's look

"Taani, relax, don't be nervous girl, you look amazing." Sharon said in her ears giving her some confidence.
Sneha who was beside her too said,
"Haan agar zyada nervous ho to just look in Rey's eyes, trust me ye trick humesha work karti hai mere sath."
"Rey ki eyes me dekhna?" Rinni asked Sneha making the others slap her forehead while Jeevika exclaimed to her sweetly,
"Nahi, she meant Shakti ki eyes me dekhna uske liye work karta hai."
When Anika said supporting them,
"Haan apne hone vale husband ko dekhogi na to nervousness chidiya ki tarah udd jayegi." She mad a gesture with her hand as a bird was flying making all the girls laugh and Taani too did.
"Yeh hui na baat Taani." Neha said hugging her sideways and they all finally reached downstairs where the boys were still staring their respective girls in awe. Avantika, Ragini and Jhanvi came forward and complimented Taani, Avantika put a small dot of kohl behind her ear,
"May god protect you from all the evil eyes."
Ragini was speechless seeing her daughter grown so much so she just hugged her when Jhanvi said,
"Haan bacha, aaj sach me tum bahot khubsoorat lag rahi ho."
Taani smiled at them thankfully before her eyes finally met his who was standing with the boys smiling at her when Bharat called him out,
"Arre bhai, bas or kitna ghurega Taani ko, teri hi biwi banne wali hai, baad me ghur liyo."
Everyone burst out laughing at his statement while Taarey flushed to the deep shades of red in embarrassment , Rey quickly defended himself,
"I wasn't staring!"
Om looked at him rolling his eyes,
"Bro, pata hai hume, We saw."
Avantika quickly stepped him saving her son from their endless teasing,
"Achha bacho ab ye sab masti baad me, Puja ka time ho gaya hai."
Taarey heaved a sigh of relief before they move towards the seats around the havan and settled down, when Rey turned to his parents,
"Mom Dad aap log bataenge hume karna kya hai, you see we are totally clueless about this Puja."
"Ohho tumhe kuch nahi karna bas follow what the priest says, bas after havan tum dono ko aarti karni hai and at last logo me sweets and clothes distribute karne hai."
Both of them nodded in understanding when the priest finally came and sat down, the others too took their seats around them. Priest started the havan saying reciting some incantations for taarey's blissful married life ahead while they both too prayed for the same along with all their family and friends. After the havan ended everyone stood up infront of the Ganpati idol for the aarti, the priest put vermillion on both of their foreheads and tied a red thread around their wrists. He handed Rey a copper lamp which was already lighten up, Taani put her hand on his and together they started with the aarti.

Rey looked at her who was standing beside him with her eyes closed during the aarti, he looked at the idol with a smile praying in his mind,Ganpati Bappa, aaj tak bahot kuch galat hua hai mere or Taani ke relation me, most of the times meri wajah se. Please iss bar mat hone dena, give me the strength of being the best husband in this world. Taani ki jitni bhi expectations hai unn sabko pura kar saku and ye jo chance Taani ne mujhe diya hai usse waste na jane du. App to jante hai na, if I need something in this life to live vo bas Taani hai, koi or kuch or ho ya na ho bas vo mere sath hai to sab achha hai.
He closed his eyes wishing silently when Taani opened her eyes and looked at him with a smile.

She again closed her eyes and turned towards the idol prayed too, Ganpati bappa, mene kabhi nahi socha tha I will be back in Mumbai or meri shaadi Rey se hogi. Aapko to pata hai na kisi par trust karne se ab mujhe kitna darr lagta hai, but mai kar rahi hu coz sab ek second chance deserve karte hai. Please bappa, iss bar kuch aisa mat hone dena ki mai ye chance regret karu, I trust you Bappa aap jo karenge achha karenge. Hamari married life bhi bas aise hi happy rakhiyega. She smiled after saying her prayer and looked at the beautiful idol in front of them and she could feel as if he was giving them his blessings.

After the aarti ended bothe bowed down in front of the idol seeking blessings when the priest gave them Prasad, he passed the thali which was covered in cloth to taani who was first confused of what it is when Ragini told her,
"Taani beta, this is your wedding dupatta, shaadi se pehle god ki blessings lete hai or phir bride ko diya jata hai."
She removed the cloth from the thali and found a red bridal chunri along with her vermillion box, a set of bangles, her wedding chain in it.
Sharon took it from her and went to keep it in the room when Gauri said to all of them,
"Bahar sari arrangements ho gayi, chale!"
They all move out where taarey distributed the sweets and clothes to all the people, who blessed both of them and prayed for them to be together. Finally after everything was done all of them had their lunch with lots of chit-chat when Avantika said to taarey,
"Taani Rey lunch ke baad you both take rest okay, tomorrow is a very special day, your engagement, all the guests will come and you won't be able to take rest then."
They nodded and after having their food went to their rooms where Rey as usual changed his path and followed Taani to hers making her shake her head at him.
"Rey, mumma ne kaha hai apne rooms me rest karne ko."
"So, main apne room mein hi to jaa raha hoon."
He replied walking behind her when she turned raising her eyebrows,
"Apka room piche gaya, ye mera room hai."
He took two steps standing close to her and caught her waist catching her by surprise, he pulled her closer making her conscious,
"Rey kya kar rahe hai, we are in the hallway, koi bhi aa sakta hai."
She said trying to making him lose his hold on her but he just tightened his grip,
"Aane do, my house, my hallway and most importantly my wife, koi kya kar lega!"
He told her winking and then continued, "And about your room to you know na I can't sleep without you now, mujhe neend nahi aati jab tak tum meri arms mein nahi hoti."
Narrowing her eyes she dabbed her one finger at his chest saying,
"First, would be wife, not wife yet and second, aren't you becoming too cheesy."
He smirked more pulling her closer, "You haven't seen my cheesiness yet jaan, abhi se cheesy lagta hu to pure life kya karogi."
Passing a sarcastic smile to him, then later she whined, "Puri life ka baad mein sochenge, abhi leave me na, someone might come."
As soon as she said this someone cleared his throat saying,
"Sir? Mam?"
They turned to look at the butler standing there with some stuff in his hands, Taani immediately got out of his hold making Rey scowl and then he turned to the butler irritated at him for disturbing them.
"What?"
"Sir ye Avantika Mam sent this, for Taani mam, kahan rakhu."
Rey clenched his jaw in anger trying to calm himself down but spat sarcastically,
"Mere sar par."
Taani hit his arm slightly for scaring the butler who literally looked stared right now and turning to the man she asked him politely to keep the stuff in her room, as soon as the butler left Rey whined saying,
"Yar mere sath hi kyu aisa hota hai, logo ka romance unke families or friends disturb karte hai, or mera romance yeh butlers. Truly I am going to give all of them a week holiday after the wedding."
Taani laughed at his words, she literally had tears with his antics when she finally said controlling herself,
"Sure, do that or fir sara ghar ka kaam aap or main karenge, right?"
He imagined that literally and sighed, then chose to not give them a week off as interrupted romance sounded better than no romance and cleaning their huge mansion whole week.
"Fine!"
Saying this he started going towards his room making her frown,
"Rey, where are you going? You were going to take rest with me."
"Haan jaan, bas change karke aata hun, you too make yourself comfortable till then." He told her, she smiled at him in understanding before entering her own room and slumped down on the sofa tiredly. In no time her eyes closed and she drifted into slumber. Rey entered her room after freshening up and closed the door behind him locking it. He glanced at her who was sleeping peacefully on the sofa, she hadn't changed her clothes too. Her head was on the headrest, her legs up while she clutched a cushion to her chest. A smile formed on his lips automatically at seeing her, however he could see she was not comfortable but did not have the heart to wake her up. He moved to her sat beside her on the sofa, a couple of hair locks were coming on her face which was disturbing her sleep, raising his hand he brushed them to the side. His gaze fell on the necklace she was wearing, it must leave marks if she slept with it one so hesitatingle he put her head on his shoulder, brushed her hair away from the back of her neck. His throat went dry seein her neck bared in front of him but he controlled himself as she was asleep and he wouldn't ever take advantage of her sleeping state. His fingers began opening the hook of the necklace and after many tries he managed to do it. Pulling it out of her neck he put it aside on the coffee table, then he pulled out the maang tika from her hairs. Hislooked at her outfit, the silk saree she was wearing, he knew it was very heavy and she would not be able to sleep in it but he had no choice, he could not change her clothes by himself so keeping it aside he decide to make her lay down on the bed. Standing up he took her in his arms while she clutched at his neck in her sleepy state making him smile.
Walking towards the bed he made her lay down, but her sleep broke when he started to adjust the pillows and her eyes opened. He cursed himself and looked at her apologetically,
"Sorry, didn't wanted to disturb your sleep but tum vaha bahot uncomfortable thi so.."
"It's okay, I can change now and then will have rest." She got up and found her jewellery on the side table beside the sofa, she looked at him knowing he did this but didn't try to change her clothes, the thought itself made her so happy and her respect for him grew. She stood beside him and held his hand, who was busy in doing something in his phone, making him look at her, leaning in she placed a soft kiss on his left cheek making him grin big,
"Thank you!"
His face immediately carried a look of confusion,
"For what?"
She just shook her head at his question saying nothing and went towards thedressing table and started arranging her jewellry, she removed her bangles tooand her anklets while he watched her sitting on the bed, admiring her. Takingher clothes from the wardrobe she changed into them before joinin Rey who wasalready lying down waiting for her to come. Snuggling closer they both slipped into slumber dreaming about their coming life.
