"We gotta get out of here Kai, we getting our ass beat and stabbed damn near everyday," I expressed as I laid on the top bunk.
I heard him sigh, "how.. we looking at 25 to life nigga. We literally mutilated cuz." He spoke, referring to Fredo.
"Ain't like he didn't deserve it, he killed my unborn and my wife."
"I know nigga .. we should've killed him sooner though and just maybe we wouldn't be up in here. Our kids is grown ups .. and we in this bitch rotting." Kai said, I could hear the sadness in his voice.
He's right, we been in here for six years already. My twin girls are both 15, my boys are 17. Lolo is 18, and Tylin is 10.. he's gotten so big last I saw him. I sighed thinking back on my unborn, who would've been 6 .. if she had survived.
But after AJ bled out, the baby lost oxygen and suffocated. I just wish shit could've been different.
"MURPHY!" An officer called my name, I jumped down from my bunk and mugged him, once I seen it was Kellam.
This nigga been in my ass since I got here, beating me, tasing me and everything. Ion know where all the unknown animosity was coming from... but shit was ridiculous.

"You got a visitor."
Kai stood up, "who?"
"I don't know, I'll let you know what happens when I'm back." I waited until the officer unlocked the gates and let me out. He pushed me roughly and I was trying everything in my power to stay calm.
He was too damn old to be acting like this. Officers get a lul badge and swear they untouchable. I'm already looking at life, I would've broke this mans neck already if I have a possibility of parole.
"Who out there?"
"Some girl." He told me.
I waited until I was cleared to go through and went to sit at the chairs, I scrunched up my face seeing Lolo sitting across from me.
I picked up the phone and she grabbed hers.
"Lotus, why are you here? I told you I didn't want you coming here." I explained, looking straight at her.
"Daddy, I gotta tell you something. But promise me you won't get mad."
I sucked my teeth, now watch me get mad.
"Whats going on?"
"My ex, Armani ... uhm he was beating on me and he shot at my car when I was leaving." She explained, making me scrunch up my faces.

"I need all his information, I know what I gotta do."
She wiped her eyes, "no dad.. I don't want you to do that, please don't do that."
"And why not?"
"Cause .. I'm pregnant."
I froze.... memories of AJ flashing in my mind, the blood, my blurry vision.
Pregnancy has been by far the one thing I wasn't prepared for with my girls.
"I - uh.." I sighed, unable to get my words out.
"I don't think I'll keep it.. I can't give my time to a baby." She expressed.
I sat back in my chair and just looked at her. She reminded me so much of AJ. Dealing with a dude who didn't care about her and losing a baby she wasn't fortunate to have.
"Do what you think is best, I can't decided what you should do baby girl, but if I'm being honest.. I don't know what Armani's future holds." I spoke as discreetly as possible. She knew exactly what I meant.
"Don't... if I decide to keep it, my baby needs a father."
"Times up!" Kellam yelled.
I placed my hand on the glass and Lolo smiled and raised hers too, "I love you dad."
"I love you."
I hung the phone up and waited until she walked off before standing to my feet.
"You didn't tell me Lotus was your daughter," Kellam spoke up making me scrunch my face up.
"Why would that matter?" I mugged him.
"Dasani, my daughter and her are good friends. Sani said they moves in together recently." He explained.
"Oh.. alright cool."
He unlocked my cell and let me in.
"What happened?" Kai jumped up.
"Lolo had an abusive boyfriend and she's pregnant now, she don't want me to do nothing.. but my trigger finger already itching."
"Lets kill him, a headshot is all we need to do." Kai expressed, "is she keeping it?"
"Ion know, I hope not." I spoke truthfully. I just didn't want her carrying her abusers child. He abuses her, just imagine what he would do to the kid.
I leaned back on my bunk.
"I'll let you know."
