Jeongguk opened his eyes to the beautiful girl sleeping soundly beside him. Parts of her cheeks glows in pink, with the sun shining on them. Her bangs parted sideways, revealing the smooth skin of her forehead. His eyes are studying and capturing her every detail - from her long eyelashes to her cute nose, down to her sexy plump lips that can't seem to stop calling for him...to her neck.

That damn hot collarbones - he recalled making a mental note last night about how that will be his favourite place on Earth from then on. No...actually his most favourite is just whenever she's in his arms. Every inch of her is his favourite! Jeongguk chuckled at his own childish thoughts.

It's his first time sleeping with a girl. His heart felt full and happy - and that empty pocket is nowhere to be seen. Fine, he's completely whipped for this girl! She stirred a little when he touched her chin, and he had to suppress his laugh when she muttered non-sensical words in her sleep before switching her position away from him. How can she be so adorable even in her fucking sleep?!

This is the same girl who had been gloriously hot last night! The image of her perfect body on the bed...her intense gaze underneath him showing just how much she needs his pleasure...her melodic whimpers and moans all throughout the 3 times...the shine and smirk on her lips as she licked them after she'd given possibly the most amazing experience he had ever received from a girl's mouth -

The doorbell rang, followed by a few knocks on it. Aish...he could sue whoever behind that door! Of course he forgot to hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign for the housekeepers - the girl of his dreams just showed up out of the blue! He sighed and slowly got out of bed, not wanting to wake her up. She must be so tired after all the making-outs and making-love last night - yes, he's gonna call it 'making love' even if it sounds cheesy as fuck -

3 men in black suits stood straight like towers in front of him. He knew them but what the fuck are they doing here?! Jeongguk steps out a little, worried that the sounds might stir up his girl.

"Jeongguk-ssi, your father requests your presence back home,"

"Hwang hyung, how did -"

"We've been searching for you. Your parents knew you're coming back and Mrs Jeon called your friend. Do you have a baggage?"

His father's head of security said with such a straight face, it intimidates him a little. The elder had been taking care of his father since he was a teenager. Jeongguk considered him as one of the family by now and some days when they do meet, they would joke around with each other. But clearly, now is not the time.

"I have a friend inside," Jeongguk muttered and blocked when Hwang stretched his neck to peek inside the room. He has to think fast! He wanted so much to bring Lalisa back with him - but the guys would definitely tell his father about this. He didn't want his parents to have a bad impression on her - especially on their first meet! What if they ended up insulting the girl?

"Give me a second," He went back in - leaving the door only slightly ajar - and knelt down to the side of the bed where Lalisa is facing, still fast asleep.

"Baby...I'll come back okay? Wait for me," He whispered and kissed her forehead. Then he wrapped the duvet tidily around her.

Next, he went into the bathroom and cleaned himself up as fast as he could. He can shower properly later at home. Damn, this is so not how he expected this morning to be! Taehyung's so gonna get it -

When he came back out, Hwang is standing in the room - facing the bed and the girl on it. Jeongguk tried calming his heart beat.

He taps onto Hwang's shoulder and signalled him to wait outside before gathering his stuff - leaving only his shopping bag from last night so she'd know he's coming back. Within a few minutes, he closed the door of the room behind him. He looks up to Hwang, who's still wearing his poker face. Jeongguk straightened up his shoulders. Fine...if everyone's playing their roles, he'll play his as well.

"Hwang-ssi. As far as my parents' concerns, I was alone in that room. Is that clear?"

Hwang stared at him with a hint of smile, then bowed a nod.

...

"Guk! I was so worried!" Mrs Jeon ran and gave her son a hug as he walked into the big hall of the house. Worried? Weren't they upset with him - why is she worried? Jeongguk frowns in confusion but hugs his mother back nevertheless.

He never noticed how quiet the mansion is...even more now that everyone's so serious - the maids and butlers standing still as if a funeral is taking place. What's wrong with everyone - are they doing this because they're getting ready to bid him farewell??

"Mom, I'm okay...where's dad?"

"He's in his office. Have you eaten anything? Jun-ah, prepare some breakfast -"

"Mom, don't worry too much, you'll get wrinkles," He chuckled.

"I already have wrinkles -"

"Really? Where?? I don't see it - where?" His playful manner kicks in - grabbing his mother's small face and acting all cute trying to study it.

"Yahh stop!!" Mrs Jeon slaps lightly on the son's shoulder. "Why are you suddenly so cheerful? Let's go see your father. Both of you need to talk,"

And his nerves are back. Okay...he can do this. He can face whatever wrath his father has on him. He will calmly explain himself. He will convince his father that his days of fooling around are over and that he's taking himself and the family's reputation seriously. He's 70% confident that he can make his father listen.

He will then tell about his plans to expand and venture into the new business - just like Lalisa advised him to. She will be proud of him...the thought is warming his heart and gave him another 10% boost! Briefly he wondered how lively this house would be with her laughter echoing around but perhaps it's too soon to be thinking about it.

He knocks on the wooden door and opens it. His father is sitting at his usual desk - with a newspaper in hand and his reading glasses on, looking like the powerful and intimidating tycoon he always had been. Jeongguk felt a nudge on his elbow and walks in.

Behind him is his mother, followed by Hwang - who closed the door shut and stood with his face and shoulders straight. His father studies him up and down before placing the newspaper on the desk.

"Are you well?"

Jeongguk clears his throat. "Yes dad,"

"Did you see anything unusual?" Jeongguk turns to whom his father was asking to.

"No, sir. He was alone. No signs of anyone standing by or following us,"

Huh? Who would 'stand by and follow them'?

"Good. Perhaps they have solved it from their end,"

"What - what's going on? What are you talking about?"

Mr Jeon stares at his clueless son - who's looking back and forth between him, his mother and the bodyguard.

"We received a threat. Shortly after the so-called 'news' broke out. It's from the Chous. That's why I sent the security team there to keep you safe,"

"A threat? What kind of threat?"

"They took it as it is. That you have somehow ruined their daughter's...well...purity,"

Jeongguk can't help but rolled his eyes with a  sarcastic laugh.

"I'm sorry but if she's so pure, she wouldn't even show up at Jackson's party - and looking like she's about to do a show in Vegas -" His sarcasm was clearly not being understood by his parents. "Sorry," He muttered.

"As I was saying, we were worried that they might be serious with their threat. But we received a call from the girl - their daughter - she apologised about the news and explained the truth,"

"The...truth..."

"That you were with your friends, and nothing more happened,"

Jeongguk turns to his mother, who's looking at him with a knowing look but didn't say anything.

"Uh...yeah...I wanted to explain that um..." He asked Tzuyu to lie to HER parents - not his! But his father hadn't shouted yet...so maybe it's a good thing? "Did you asked everyone to not answer my calls and froze my cards too?"

"Yes, if you weren't so impulsive all the time, I wouldn't have done it -"

"If I weren't - well, if you weren't stubborn and scary all the time, I could've told you -"

"Okay, both of you need to stop!" Mrs Jeon suddenly shouts, earning all eyes on her. "I'm tired of this - I'm too old for this, and you too!" She stares angrily towards her husband. "We've talked about this and you promised!"

It's Jeongguk's first time seeing this side of his mother - and his father too as he sighed and looked down in resigned to the marbled floor.

"I'm sorry. For being too harsh on you yesterday,"

Woah...an apology...from his dad?? This is a once-in-a-lifetime, straight-out-of-fiction - wait, are they playing tricks on him?! Jeongguk shifts awkwardly from one foot to the other, not sure of how to respond to this. There's another nudge from his mother...

"Um...it's um...it's okay dad. I'm sorry too - don't um...damn can we just move on?" He laughed nervously.

"Yes, let's move on," Clearly, the elder feels uncomfortable as well!

So all the worry yesterday...was for nothing? He wasn't kicked out of the family? They were just trying to protect him - and he kept thinking of the worse! Lalisa was right...in a nutshell, he was selfish. All he thought about was himself. They were worried for his life, and all he could think was how petty the whole thing was.

He stares at the old man before him, who now looked as if he's aged more since the last time. He cared...his father really cared for him more than he thought. All this while, Jeongguk had been so self-absorbed that he didn't even looked twice on everything his father did. His father even knew that he would be 'impulsive' and do something about it!

If only he'd been more aware, he wouldn't have worried them like this. His mother wouldn't have cried on those phone calls. He could've handled in a more calmly way...like staying put, or being honest and talk to his parents about it...maybe they would trust him more. A wave of regrets hit him like a wrecking ball.

But if he hadn't been impulsive, he wouldn't have met Lalisa. So maybe this is the way for him to realise it all...and to learn from his mistakes. Crazy how the universe works!
