Caitlin's house~
Caitlin's POV~
As the timer went off in the kitchen; which jerked my attention over to the stove. I went to go check on the pasta cooking on the stove. The smells of the penne pasta filled the entire kitchen; with warmth and a mouthwatering taste on your taste buds. The cooking of the pasta brought a real homey feeling to the atmosphere to my home. As I placed turned off the flame with a simple turn of the knob below. I then let the pasta cool while the breadsticks were still baking in the oven. While the garlic buttery breadsticks were toasting in the oven; I decided to change into something else besides an apron!
Once, I finished getting ready for my second date with Barry tonight! I told him that tonight was my night to pick our date so I decided on a dinner and movie night. As I walked back into the kitchen to go and take a look at the breadsticks in the oven. Once, I opened the oven door all of the scrumptious smells filled my nose with delight. I then began to take them out of the oven to let them cool; once I placed them on a cooling rack I heard the doorbell chiming throughout my ears. I rushed to go retrieve the doorknob; but before I did I made sure I looked okay; once I opened the door it opened to a handsome Barry Allen standing with another single rose in his hand.
3rd person POV~
"Hey Beautiful" Barry said with a golden smile plastered across his face while he gently handed Caitlin the single rose.
"Hey Barry, aww thank you so much!" Caitlin said with a blushing smile as she sniffed the rose in her hands.
"Of course," Barry said while blushing at her smile
"Come on in, I made us dinner!" Caitlin said as she let Barry inside
"Thank you" Barry began as he entered Caitlin's home and witnessed all of the amazing smells around him. "Wow, it smells amazing in here; I didn't know you knew how to cook?" Barry said in amazement
"Thank you, well they're a lot of things you don't know about me Barry Allen," Caitlin said while winking at Barry; which made Barry softly smile at her
"So, shall we?" Caitlin asked directing them both over to the sitting area
"Yes, we shall," Barry said as Caitlin served both of their dishes; "Thank you," Barry said as he sat down across from Caitlin in her dining area
"Your welcome" Caitlin said as she sat down as well
Barry and Caitlin then both began eating the delicious meal that Caitlin had planned; "This is amazing, Cait is there anything you can't do?!" Barry said in awe at her talents and knowing that Caitlin was perfect in every way; shape and form!
"Thank you so much, Barry you are too perfect; I knew that pasta was your favorite" Caitlin said with a sweet smile
"How did you know that?" Barry asked while raising an eyebrow
"Your mom may or may not have told me..." Caitlin biting her lower lip in a playful way
"Oh I see now," Barry said with a teasing laugh
As the dinner went on with amazing food filling their stomachs; and their deep memorable conversations filling the night. Caitlin then realized that it was time for a movie; "Okay, Barry are you ready to watch one of the most cringiest movies of all time?" Caitlin asked while raising an eyebrow with a bright smile on her face
"Cringe movies?" Barry asked while raising his eyebrow
"Yes, you will love it and hate at the same time; it will be so much fun!" Caitlin said while dragging him to the couch
"Okay, okay let's do it!" Barry said as he sat on the couch
"Great!" Caitlin said as she pushed play on the movie
Moments later~
An hour or so into the terrible movie, Caitlin got a need for some buttery popcorn. "Barry?" Caitlin asked perking her head up from the pillow against her.
"Yes?" Barry asked turning his attention away from the movie to Caitlin
"Do you want some popcorn?" Caitlin said with a sly look on her face
"Sure, I would love some; but I can get it if you want me too?" Barry asked while sitting up
"No, I got it silly," Caitlin said as she stood up from the couch and walked over to the microwave. Caitlin then began to place the unmicrowaved popcorn into the microwave. As she waited for the popcorn to finish popping she grabbed a metallic bowl out of the cabinet. Once, the hot popcorn was finished; Caitlin then dumped the popcorn into the bowl to be served. Caitlin then made her way over to the couch where Barry was sitting at. As Caitlin sat down on the couch with the popcorn bowl in her hands.
"Can I have some please?" Barry asked with a playful look on his face and puppy dog eyes began to form. Caitlin then placed the bowl on top of her head, and a bright smile formed across her face.
"You're going to have to come and get it?" Caitlin said with a goofy look on her face
"You are adorable you know that, right?" Barry said in all honesty
"Now Mr. Allen, your charm isn't going to fool me twice?" Caitlin said with a gentle smile as she placed the bowl in her lap
"Really? It's not I wouldn't be too sure about that Dr. Snow..." Barry said with a mischievous smile across his face
"Hey... you can have the popcorn," Caitlin said while raising an eyebrow
"What if I don't want the popcorn?" Barry said with a playful look on his face
"Oh-" Caitlin began but she got interrupted by Barry leaning over her while only being inches apart from her face, and their lips grazed upon each other. While Barry formed a sly smile; and began to whisper something in her ear.
"You know, .... the popcorn... tastes amazing right now only if you could have some...." Barry said while he backed up from Caitlin and snatched the bowl, sitting in her lap. Barry then began to eat the popcorn.
"You tricked me, that's not funny," Caitlin said while hitting him with a pillow
"You said that 'my charm isn't going to fool you twice' well it did. I also got what I wanted too!" Barry said while eating the buttery popcorn
"You are such an- " Caitlin said while staring Barry down
"I'm what? Go on say it" Barry said while in the pure joy of himself
"You are an ass!" Caitlin said with a laughing smile
"Well, I'm an ass with charm," Barry said while hitting her with a pillow
"Sureeeee, I see how it's going to be," Caitlin said while beginning the pillow fight
Barry and Caitlin then began the pillow fight; feathers flew in the air as the fight went on. Smiles and laughs filled each other with true happiness; as playful hits with the pillows went on.
Caitlin then made her way to sitting on her knees on the couch; "Okay, okay I surrender you win" Caitlin exclaimed with her hands in the air as laughs escaped her breath.
"You sure? Any last words, Caitlin Rose Snow..." Barry said with a bright smile illuminating his facial features
"That I will never let your charm ever defeat me ever again!" Caitlin said with a blushing smile
"That's not going to happen; you can't resist my charm," Barry said as he gently kissed Caitlin on the lips not teasing her at all; once the gentle kiss ended sparks flew between one another's eyes. Love was in the air and either one of them could deny it!
An hour later~
As another cringy movie was about halfway in or so; Barry and Caitlin began to snuggle while watching this terrible movie. Barry had wrapped his arms around Caitlin's shoulders which made them both feel a sense of warmth and love against each other. Just being in each other's arms brought a feeling that either one of them wanted to let go. As the movie kept playing, Barry started to use his thumb to rub against Caitlin's upper arm. Which made Caitlin blush uncontrollably by the thought of a simple gesture having so much meaning into it! Barry's touch made Caitlin's heart start to beat at a rapid pace; they both never wanted to let go of this feeling for one another. It was perfect some might say timeless...
