It was Thursday at 9 in the morning, you've woken up to the sound of what could have been a dozen or less pair of feet shuffling around and voices whisper-yelling at each other. Rubbing off the sleep from your eyes, you yawned as you carefully moved the comforter away from half of your body. Not having any memory of lifting it over your body made you guessed it was Billie who did it.

Smiling to yourself, you went out of the room and you were right, there were bunch of people scrambling in and out of the hotel room. A ring light and portable vanity were positioned in the living room area occupying much of the space and of course there was the one and only Billie Dean Howard.

Sore from last night you took your steps slow and discreet, quickly your eyes settled over the reflection of the older woman. Everyone around her stopped: the hairdresser, the make-up artist, the one who was applying new set of pressed on nails. They looked at the woman who signaled for them to give her a minute, they nod and left.

Stuck at where you were with no intention of moving, Billie decided to rose up from the seat, fixed the rose gold silken robe she had on and sauntered over with a smile held on her lips. Her make-up was barely done and yet Billie already looked so lively and sublime. "You slept like a baby, didn't you?" Your cheeks were like glowing embers, with a brief eye connection you nodded bashfully.

You had this feeling like everybody knew what the two of you had done last night and so you couldn't help but keep a distance between you and her and kept seeing imaginative dirt on your hands. Why everything had to be so wrongful and yet doing it made your heart flutter and so fulfilled, you felt the happiest with her.

Billie closed the small gap, "Nobody knows what we did and what we really are to each other." she whispered assuring you while cradling your cheek within her soft palm. Tilting your head up, she met your gaze and the warm tone of your cheeks. Billie smiled. "I made you breakfast, you mustn't have noticed the tray on the bedside table." With your eyes going wide, your ears warmed with your cheeks. Lips parting to say a word but your mind wouldn't produce any.

Billie's eyes quickly roamed the room, everyone was busy. You watched her, the next thing you knew was Billie's lips had left a kiss on your forehead with her hand cupping the back of your head. "Eat up, sweetheart. I've got a work to do."

You were left alone in the massive hotel room until the sun set down and from the balcony you saw the black rental car pulling over. She was half an early earlier than she promised she would pick you up for dinner in town. There was this jolt of happiness at the sight of the blonde exiting the car. As you were about to stand up your phone rang, it was your sister: Alice...

"Alice, hey." It was plainly said with a lesser effort to sound joyous to finally hear from your sister again.

"I went to your apartment and you're not there. I asked around and no one knows where you are. Papa and I are getting worried." You could have wished it was true but you knew all too well that when they said they missed you, it meant money.

It took everything from you not to scoff audibly, you swallowed the anger the bubbled, balled your hand to a fist and breathed out calm as you could.

"I'm with a friend. She offered me to do her thesis in exchange for cash because she knew I'm financially short. It isn't that big but it's enough. Once I get back I'll drop by at pops and give him some."

"Could you lend me some too, it's for your niece's maintenance."

"I—sure."

"When could you possibly coming home?" more like when could you possibly give the money?

You shrugged as if Alice was only across the room, "I don't know yet but soon. Don't worry if I can't make at the end of the week I'll deposit the money to mama's bank account. You still remember it, do you?"

"Of course, sis. Alright, I'll get off your hair. Stay safe."

"Tell Julie I miss...her" but the line had already ended.

Billie stood behind the kitchen wall, the woman was slick thanks to her light footsteps. When the sound of your feet heavily thudding against the floor she busied herself, took a cigarette from her purse and light it up, the shiny metal case snapped closed leaving it over the countertop next to her purse before she opened the refrigerator that was only occupied with wines and left over foods.

Stopping on your tracks at the sound of the cork being pulled from the bottle with the distinct popping sound, your breath had left you. "Billie?" you called out tiptoeing around the corner. Billie cleared her throat and continued on, collectively pouring herself some wine, "Yes, sweetheart?"

With wide eyes, you looked over your shoulder and mentally measured the distance from the balcony to the kitchen, it wasn't that far and due to the open space there was a chance the conversation could have been heard from where Billie was.

Gulping, you anxiously licked your bottom lip, "How long have you been here? I didn't hear you opening the door."

"Just right now. Would you like some?" she eyed the wine and you shook your head.

"I'm going to change my dress. I'll be quick."

Billie could have stopped you by saying, "No, you're dress is fine. I love it." but she let it slip passed her tongue; unsaid. She could hear your brittle voice hiding something. Patiently she waited, downing slowly the half full glass of red wine. Eyes blankly stared at the rim where her glossy lipstick had left a stain. It was delicate and perfect on the thin glass like how it would exactly look on the surface of your skin.

Billie might not have heard the whole length of the conversation but she surely caught on the part where you had to lie about where you were and what you were doing and about sending them money. Billie wasn't one to put her nose into other people's business but when it came to you, you were the golden exception.

"I'm ready." you said with a smile, twirling around to show off the bright yellow sundress. The woman's train of thoughts faded, she eyed you and motioned with her index finger for you to do another twirl. You giggled, complying with her request. Billie eyes twinkled at the sight of you. She walked around the island counter and pulled you by the waist. Two hearts beat in sync, world faded in the background.

"My angel, you're too delicate for this world." She mumbled to herself, bringing her hand up to clear out the strands of hair from your face. Stunned, you watched Billie as she gradually lean over until her lips were touching yours, locking in a soft motion and just enjoying the burst of flames in your chest. Her lips smelled sweet, it was the perfect combo of the wine and her berry scented lipstick. Her tongue pushed through and your lips parted automatically.

Billie's grasp was getting rough on your waist and her other hand crawled from the side of your torso up to your jaw to your curls, yanking softly on your hair that guaranteed her a string of muffled moans.

As you two breathed for air there were knocks on the door, "I'm tagging along with Todd. See you at the restaurant, Billie." Quickly she was familiarized with the voice. "We'll shortly be there I just need to change."

"Liar" you whispered smirking at the woman and staring on the pink smudge on the corner of her lips. Billie squinted her eyes before pinning you to the wall.

At the restaurant, Claire, Todd and some other crew were there occupying two booths that faced each other. When you two walked in some conversations died down and focused on you. Claire saved some space but only for Billie, unintentionally forgetting about her boss' company. The poor lady cursed quietly as she squeezed shut her eyes. She hated when she forget some certain things she knew might upset her boss so Claire stood up, she was going to give her spot to you without thinking twice when a man beside Todd stood up at the same time.

Billie's eyes shot up to Noah who was clearly starstruck with you. Through out the entire time your mind kept drifting off, thinking of ways you could earn some money. The best choice you had was doing Stacey's project that she asked you in exchange for money, you hadn't turned it down but either accepted it and now you wish she hadn't changed her mind yet.

"(y/n)?" you looked up from your plate to Billie, "You haven't touched your food. Don't you like it? we can—,"

"No. Um... it's fine I just. I have to make a phone call. Excuse me." Billie watched you get up holding tightly on your phone, she could say a thousand thoughts were bombarding you.

You walked a few meters away from the entrance as you searched for Stacey's number in your contacts, "Stacey, hey it's (y/n)... when's your project's due date again? Ahuh if you haven't changed your mind about it I'm taking it. I'll do it in exchange of cash of course..."

The money you had in you wasn't that much but it was enough, but having enough wasn't working anymore. You had to have more, to earn more than you do with doing other students' projects and tutoring. You knew you had to have a job. You had to try again, you swore you would stop relying on Billie, that you would stop taking her offerings but was life giving you any other choice? No, so that was why you had to take it.

"Great! Consider it done by Saturday! Thank you so much, Stacey! And oh if you could, recommend me to some of your friends having troubles with the project! Thank you again!"

The amount of joy when Stacey told you she hadn't even started was beyond your expectation. Stacey was a mayor's kid, she had all the privilege in the world, money wasn't a problem.

But as you solved the problem another one popped out and that was how to get back in L.A
