TAMING THE WILD WAVES: WAVE NINE
Tiningnan ko ang babaeng tinawag ni Dark na mama. Beside her is a man who just exactly looks like Dark.
He has this smirk on his face while looking at the both of us. Nabaling muli ang aking atensiyon sa mama ni Dark nang magsalita ito.
"Who's this woman right here Dark?" She asked, raising her eyebrows at me. Napakagat naman ako sa labi.
Nakakaramdam ng hiya lalo na dahil umalis si Dark sa tabi ko upang lumapit sa kanila. He kiss his mother's cheek and just nodded at his father.
Pagkatapos ay ngumiti sa akin si Dark kaya pilit rin akong ngumiti. Lumapit siya sa akin at pinalupot ang kanyang braso sa aking bewang.
I saw how her mother's eye drop it's look on it. "Well she's Zyreen Dela Costa mama, my girlfriend." napangiti ako sa tono ng pananalita niya.
Pakiramdam ko ay sobrang niya akong ipinagmamalaki. "Well not bad..." his father commented kaya agad na nakatanggap ng masamang tingin mula sa magandang asawa.
She really looks young, mukhang mag kumare nga lang kami e.
"Sorry Mi. I'm just proud of our boy." he wrapped his arms around her kaya magkakapareho na kami ngayon ng posisyon.
"Take a sit mama and papa. Kakain pa lang kami." sabi ni Dark. Hindi naman nagrereklamo ang kanyang mga magulang at sinaluhan kami sa hapag kainan.
Pagkatapos namin kumain ay ramdam kong muli ang mga titig ng mama niya. "So... you're the reason why my son's so excited to come back here." she said as she sip on her drinks.
I look at Dark. He held my hand under the table squeezing it. "Fatima...you're scaring the lady." her husband chuckled.
Nakita kong may binulong ito sa asawa at napailing nalang ang lalaki pagkatapos non. His father cleared his throat.
"My name is Cole by the way. You can call me tito." he said while smiling at me. I smiled back at him.
"And this lovely woman right here is my wife, ofcourse. Her name is Fatima Reign Rivera." I smiled at his mother but I just received a small smile.
Well at least she smiled.
Dark clears his throat. "Anyway ma, kakarating ko lang rito. Hindi ko alam na susundan niyo agad ako." he said.
"Why? did we disturb you?" tanong nito kaya napailing si Dark at ang tatay niya. Mag ama nga talaga.
"Sorry for your mother son. You know she's just overprotective at you because you're her baby boy." I bit my lower lip to stop myself from laughing so much.
Laughtrip din 'tong tatay ni Dark e.
Dark rolled his eyes at me. Ay hala siya? Attitude ka?
"Okay fine! I'm sorry about my attitude at you iha, hay nako kapag naging ina ka rin maiintindihan mo ako." nagulat ako sa inasta ng kanyang ina.
Nakanguso pa ito habang sinasabi 'yon. "I'm really sorry iha. Sa lahat yata ng naging kasintahan ng anak ko ay ganito ako-" Dark cut her words.
"Ma they're just my flings. Plus kaya mo lang sila nakikilala dahil lagi mo akong pinapasundan then you'll invite us over at our house." iling iling na sabi ni Dark.
"But still Dark! Sana naman this time you're serious about her. Nagulat ako dahil siya lang ang babaeng kusa mong pinakilala." she smirk while looking at his son.
Pinamulahan naman ako ng pisnge.
"Well kung hindi mo naitatanong mama, I'm already planning our wedding." he smirk and look at me.
Halos masamid naman ako sa sinabi niyang iyon. His mother's eyes widen while his father is chuckling.
"T-that soon? Kailan mo pa siya kilala? Halos isang buwan ka pa lang nandito anak. Why too soon?" his mother pouted again.
"Because I want her to lock inside my own house forever, baka maagaw pa mahirap na." tinaasan ko siya ng kilay dahil roon.
"As if naman hahayaan kitang gawin iyon. Remember I am still a human and I have rights to complain about what I want even if I became your wife." I said while crossing my arms.
Parang sa mga sandaling 'yon ay nakalimutan ko na nasa harap nga pala namin ang mga magulang niya.
Napayuko ako ng biglang tumawa panandalian sila Tito. I thought they're going to insult me pero hindi.
"Dark...remember when your mother said that you'll find the woman who can tame you?" his father said glancing at me.
"Yeah...what about that?" he replied. "You found it. You already have her." Dark's father added and wink at me afterwards.
Mas lalo akong nahiya. At kaba na kanina ay naramdaman ko noong una ko silang makita ay nawala.
Unti-unti akong naging komportable. We spend half of our time talking there. His mother is so talkative and I like it.
Hanggang sa nagtanong si Tita Fatima kay Dark about him leaving so late at night. "I think you already know the answer to that mama." he said.
He wrapped around his arms on my shoulders. "Yeah sure but son. Alam mo naman na the company needs you. Malapit na kaming pumunta sa ibang bansa to run our company there. Hindi sa tutol ako sa relasyon ninyong dalawa ha? Totally I really like you na agad iha, ang point ko lang is...Dark can't focus on our company when he is always here." I smiled at her.
"I understand po, well...ayos lang naman po sa akin na maging madalang ang pagpunta-" Dark immediately cut me.
"No way. Uuwi ako rito araw araw. End of discussion." Dark said with finality. Nanlaki ang mata ko sa inasta niya.
Now he's being ruthless and persistent again.
"No Dark. Sobrang nakakapagod 'yon. Aba baka kapag kakarating mo lang rito e aalis ka na ulit dahil umaga na. So Dark no...end of discussion." I said.
Dark was about to open his mouth again when his mother interrupt. "Ah sige wait. Umm iha what is your work here?" tanong niya.
"I'm a teacher here. Pero sa tuwing wala pong masyadong ginagawa or bakanteng araw sumasama po ako sa pangingisda." proud kong sabi.
Shock is evident on her face. "O-oh so you can catch fish?" she asked while stuttering. "Yes po." sagot kong muli.
A little bit insulted.
"Don't get me wrong ha. Hindi ako nandidiri sa'yo. Kung alam mo lang dati noong dalaga ako simple lang rin ang buhay namin." nakangiti niyang sabi.
"No, I'm not thinking that way tita." sabi ko ng may ngiti rin sa labi. That's a little bit of lie, though. Buong akala ko kasi lahat ng mayayaman may pinipiling papakisamahan, mali pala ako.
Napabalik ako sa wisyo nang magsalita ang tatay ni Dark. "I'm going to suggest something, this might help you out from your problems. Bakit hindi ka nalang sa Manila mag trabaho?" nawala panandalian ang ngiti ko.
Dark gently caress my shoulder. Tiningnan ko siya and his face is asking me if I'm still okay, I just nodded at him.
"That would be nice pero...hindi ko po kasi kayang iwanan ang mama at papa ko rito sa Zambales. Especially when my mother is suffering from her unknown disease." I said and flash them a soft smile.
"Oh...what is your mother's sick?" tanong ni Tito Cole. "Hindi pa po namin alam dahil hindi pa po kami nagpapatingin sa doctor. Pero once na makuha ko na po ang unang sahod ko 'yon po agad ang aasikasuhin ko." sabi ko.
"Saka isa pa papa, I already asked her too dahil ang sabi niya her dream job is architecture and I'm willing to take her in Manila. Pag aaralin ko siya but she refused." singit ni Dark.
"Mas lalo mo lang akong ineenganyong magustuhan ka iha. Pero about nga sa company...kailangan talaga si Dark madalas sa Manila." his mother said.
I understand her pero hindi ko rin yata kaya na mawalay kay Dark ng matagal. "I understand po. I-it's okay with me." I look at Dark.
He is already looking at me with a frown on his face. "But it's not with me." mariing sabi niya.
"You have to Dark. Magkikita parin naman tayo." pangungumbinsi ko sa kanya. He look away and shake his head in disagreement.
He suddenly stand up leaving me to nowhere I don't know. I sigh and force a smile at his parents.
"Sorry about him." nahihiyang sabi ko. Letche, ako pa talaga ang nag so-sorry sa katigasan ng ulo ni Dark!
"No, kami dapat ang mag sorry." sabi ng tatay niya na kalaunan ay biglang tumayo. "I'll just talk to him, you know some man to man talk." he said after kissing his wife's cheek.
Ang sweet.
Pagka alis ni Tito Cole ay kaming dalawa nalang ni Tita Fatima. "I'm so glad na ikaw na ang napili ng anak ko." nakangiting sabi nito.
"Salamat po." nahihiyang sabi ko. "Siguro kilala mo si Tanya right?" I nodded at her. "Noong bumalik sila sa Manila galing rito aba ang batang 'yon bigla bigla nalang pumapasok sa opisina ko and did you know what she's up to that time?" I shook my head, ang daldal rin ng mama ni Dark.
"Nagsusumbong siya sa akin about Dark defending some cheap woman daw here in Zambales. That Dark is taking the woman's side than her." she said while rolling her eyes.
I chuckled because of that at alam ko rin na ang tinutukoy ni Tanya na babae is ako. "Pagpasensiyahan mo na 'yon iha, she's so spoiled by her parents! Plus her mother is a brat like her. Actually her mother and I used to be enemies before." she said while smiling.
I think this woman infront of me had the best memories ever. I can see it on her face. She was about to open her mouth again when someone interrupt us.
"Oh shut up Trayvon! Will you!?" nanggagalaiting sigaw ng babaeng hindi ko alam kung sino.
As they're foot landed on the dining room. I saw a beautiful girl wearing her high waisted pants and some tank top shirt.
Para siyang modelo.
"Make me Star, I want you to shut me up using your mouth." Trayvon said. Ang lalaking ito kahit kailan.
Napailing ako at nagpatuloy lang sila sa bangayan. Hindi yata nila kami nakikita rito. I look at Tita Fatima and I saw this smirk on her lips.
Bago pa makalapit muli si Trayvon sa magandang babae Tita Fatima stand up. "Enough! You two, come here." sabi ni tita Fatima.
Halatang nagulat ang dalawa sa presensiya namin. The girl makes her way towards tita Fatima.
She kiss her cheek and turn to me. "Oh who is this lovely girl mama?" tanong nito kay tita Fatima. So this is Dark's sister?
I blush when she called me lovely.
"She's Zyreen. Your kuya's girlfriend." nanlaki ang mata ng babae. "OMG!! For real? I mean kaya pala ayaw na ni kuya umalis rito! Because look at her! She can be a model too!" lumapit ito sa akin at niyakap ako.
Mag kasing tangkad lang kami, amputcha mas lalo tuloy akong nanliit. "Hi ate Zy! I'm Star Shine Rivera! Your boyfriend's lil sis!" she said still hugging me.
"Ang arte talaga." rinig kong sabi ni Tray. Agad namang umalis si Star sa pagkaka yakap sa akin at nakahalukipkip na humarap kay Tray.
"What did you just say!?" inis na sigaw nito. Tita Fatima rolled her eyes. "Me? I didn't say anything." Trayvon said as he smirked.
"Argh! Nakaka irita ka talaga! We'll talk later please just go away muna from now!" ani nito kaya mas lalong napalaki ang ngiti ni Trayvon bago umalis sa dining room.
She turned to me again with a smile. "Hi ate! So what's your job here?" tanong nito sa akin at kumapit muli sa aking braso.
"I'm a teacher Star." nakangiti kong sabi. She pouted as soon as she heard what I say. "Do you really love that job of yours?" she asked still pouting.
I was about to answer her but tita Fatima interrupt. "Don't push her to be a model Star, at isa pa kung iiwan man niya ang pagiging teacher, architecture ang kukuhanin niya." Tita Fatima smiled at me.
"Aww...sayang talaga! Pero ate may I ask you?" tanong niya and I immediately nodded at her.
"Are you perhaps related to my bestfriend name Penelope? She's a Suarez. Napansin ko lang kasi na may hawig ka sa kanya, look mama oh!" iniharap pa niya ako kay Tita Fatima.
"Oh my God...you are right Star. Bakit hindi ko ito napansin." They both come near me as they examining my face.
"Ah baka po nagkataon lang. Dela Costa po ang apilido ko." sabi ko rito. Lumayos silang mag ina at nakapangalumbaba para bang nag iisip pa.
Wow. Kung si Dark nakuha ang detalye ng kanyang ama ito namang si Star sa kaniyang ina.
Well medyo lang siguro dahil napansin kong hindi gaanong maarte si tita Fatima.
Pagkatapos ng halos kalahating oras na pag uusap ng mag ama ay bumalik na sila sa amin.
Dark back hug me na parang wala ang kanyang mga pamilya. Tita and Tito happily chatting together and last but not the least, si Tray at si Star nag aasaran pa rin.
I never imagined myself to meet the family like this.
I felt Dark kissing my neck kaya hindi ko mapigilan ang mapahagikgik. Nakikiliti kaya ako!
"Tame me Zyreen cause I can't stop this wildness of mine..." He trailed off.
