Fraternizing with the Enemy
Chapter Thirty
Reed Archer
Saturday morning, ten o'clock (13th)

I yawn and pull the body hugging mine closer. It groans in response, so I shush it. I nuzzle into his neck and sigh, falling back to sleep only for an arm to elbow me in the eye.

"Ow," I groan, rolling away from him.

"Shit, sorry Reed." Justice whispers. "We gotta get up though."

"Why?" I growl.

"Because my parents are up and we have to figure out a way to sneak you out. We're lucking they didn't walk in on us."

"Fuck," I roll back over to face Justice. "Do you have to go anywhere today?"

"No, I don't think so." He says, blinking repeatedly at me.

"Good, so I can just stay all day and we can sneak me out tonight. Or tomorrow. Anytime except for now." I reason then roll back over to go back to sleep.

"That would work, if tomorrow wasn't a weekday. Either way we still have to get up."

"Why?" I groan, rolling once again to face him.

"A. we have to shower, B. I have to go downstairs so my parents don't get suspicious which leads up to C. You have to be up in case anyone comes in here while I'm down there." Fuck when did he get so smart?

"Ugh, you're right." I say, sitting up and looking at him.

"Good. Now we need to brush our teeth. And then I'll head downstairs and bring breakfast up for, well, at least you. I don't know if my parents will let me eat up here. We usually eat breakfast together on Sundays." Justice says, helping me to the bathroom.

"Damn," I laugh. "Y'all are a typical white picket fence family, aren't ya?"

"Yeah, I guess." He shrugs. We paused our conversation so we could brush our teeth.

"Hm," I mumble.

"What? Did you say something?" Justice asks, looking at me as he helps me move back to his bed. He sits me down on there.

"Nah, just remember-"

"You love bacon and hate eggs. You like a tiny amount of syrup and a lot of butter but only on pancakes." Justice says, rolling his eyes. "Yes, yes, Reedy, I know."

"Reedy?" I laugh.

"Well, you have like a dozen nicknames for me, and I barely have one for you. I need another one. You don't like Reedy?" He batts his eyes.

"Fuck no." I laugh.

"Well what the hell am I supposed to call you, then? Reed is not an easy name to make a nickname for." Justice complains.

"Then call me Reed."

"No."

"Yes."

"No." He crosses his arms and glares at me. "What if I call you Archer? No, that's weird."

"Call me, oh, I don't know, Reed."

"Ugh, this is not over." He says quietly as he leaves the room. I lay back on the bed and blow out a breath of air in boredom.

I look over at Justice's dresser and see nothing interesting on there. I look at the other dresser beside his bed and see nothing on there either. I sit and look around. This boy had nothing in his room. I could play one of his games but I didn't really feel like it. I lay back again and roll over on his bed.

"Hey, Just, do you have any toothpaste in your bathroom?" I hear someone call.

"Uh yeah, hold on I'll grab it." Justice calls.

"No, it's okay, I'm already up here!"

Shit. I quickly stand up and look around worriedly. I make the split second decision to hobble into his closet. I make it there just in time for the door knob to start to turn. I collapse on the chairs in Justices closet and try to breathe as quietly as I could. Shit, I'm pretty sure Justice's brother goes to high school. He'd know who I was and who I was supposed to be to Justice.

"Ryan, did you find it?" Justice's voice was a lot louder so I assumed he'd entered his bedroom.

"Yeah, bro. Calm down. Jeez, if I didn't know any better I'd say you were hiding something." Justice's brother, Ryan, laughs. He sounded a lot like Justice.

"Nah, just haven't cleaned." Justice laughs.

"You and your cleanliness. God, we're literally related. I've seen everything about you. I know you can be disgusting. I have to accept that." They both laugh.

"Ok, well, I need to take a piss, so I'll see you down there." Justice says.

"Ok, don't be too long. You know how mom gets." They both laugh again. I listen as a set of footsteps leave the room.

"Reed?" I hear Justice whisper.

"In here." I whisper back.

He enters the closet and looks at me. We both laugh.

"That was fucking close." I whisper.

"Yeah, sorry. I didn't know he was gonna come in here." Justice whispers back.

"It's cool." He just stands there for a second. "While you're up here, c'mere."

He walks closer to me. "What?"

"Come closer." I say again.

He gets closer, his knees touching mine. I grab his hips and pull him down so he was sitting on my lap. With one hand on his hip and the other around the back of his neck, I pull his head down to mine and kiss him. He smiles into the kiss and kisses back.

"If you wanted a kiss all you had to do was ask." Justice whispers against my lips. "I would have given you a kiss, gladly."

"Mm, where's the fun in that? This way I got a kiss and you on my lap. Makes it even better when I can do this." I smirk as I grind into him. He moans and lets his head fall to my shoulder. I grind into him again, bringing his lips to mine again. He moans again then breaks our kiss.

"I gotta go back down there." He huffs. I groan.

"You sure?" I ask.

"Yes, but I'll be back as soon as I can and we can finish this."

"Fine, but am I supposed to hide in here all morning?" I groan.

"Well no, just if you hear someone coming." He says.

"What is there to do in your room?" I complain. "I can't find anything."

"I don't know, play video games? Watch TV, I don't care." Justice says, getting off of me.

"Well at least help me to your bed." I say. He rolls his eyes but does help me. He places me on his bed and I watch silently as he leaves.

I look around eyeing his dresser. What else to do other than snoop. Justice really shouldn't have left me in here alone. I roll over and open the drawer. Condoms, lube, more condoms, flavored condoms. Is that glow in the dark condoms? Shit, this boy is freaky. I do wanna try those glow in the dark one.

I close that drawer and move on to the one below it. There were two drawers on this table. I opened it and it was mostly empty. There were only a couple of photos of him in there. I pull out the photos and lay down on my back. The top one was of him and a couple of guys I know are one the team. They were at camp. I look at the next photo. It was one of him and his brother and it looked like they were camping. I flip to the next one. This was one of just him. He was standing in ankle deep water in just swimming trunks, with a pair of presumably expensive sunglasses. He was smiling. I shove that one into the pocket of my pants and look at the next one. That one was one of him and Trish. They were at the county fair and Justice looked completely uncomfortable. I flip to the last photo. It was one of him and who I'm assuming is Hayden as little boys. They were in super hero costumes. I chuckle then roll over and put the photos back into the drawer. The only other things in there were a couple of things he ordered with his football pictures on it.

I roll over and look in the other dresser. I opened the top bunk and there was some loose cash thrown around, a flashlight and a pocket knife. A few papers were thrown around too but nothing that looked of any importance. I close that drawer and open the one below it. Inside that one he had a bunch of Southern Living and MotorTrend magazines. I lift those up and smirk. That dirty boy. Underneath those magazines, he had tissues, playboy magazines and lotion. I cover the items back up and close the drawer. The door opens, and I stare wide eyed at the face that steps through.

Justice laughs. "You look like you just saw a ghost."

"Fuck, I didn't know who was going to come through that door."

"You're a loser, Reed." Justice laughs again, jumping into bed with me. "So, my parents are buying a hot tub today."

"Really?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"Yup." He smirks back.
