PATCHOULI
"Hi." I greeted Titus Maxim when he opened the door of his room. Walang tao sa baba at pinapasok lang ako ng kanilang kasambahay. When I asked them where Titus is, they told me that he was in his room.
It had been a week since we went back from Siargao. He didn't talk to me and it's weird. Usually madaldal talaga siya at kapag nagagalit ako sa kaniya, kukulitin niya pa rin ako.
I don't know his problem. Clueless din ang mga kaibigan ko, or...not. I think Lyle knows something but he wouldn't tell because it's not his place to tell.
Pinalampas ko yung isang araw na hindi niya kami kinausap but then Titus Maxim somehow ruined the mood of our vacation. At wala akong alam kung may nagawa ba akong mali para magkaganoon siya.
And now, here I am, in front of his bedroom door. Ilang araw ko ring pinag-isipan ito at kung walang gagalaw sa aming dalawa, wala na talagang patutunguhan ito.
I bit my lower lip when Titus Maxim just stared at me. " Can we talk?" I nervously asked.
" I'm busy."
I almost rolled my eyes at the lack of enthusiasm in his voice. " Really? What are you doing? Wala namang pasok."
" It's none of your business." He turned his back on me but he stopped as if he remembered something.
Akala ko ay kakausapin niya ako pero isinara niya iyong pinto. Sa lakas ng pagkakasara ay parang nagising lahat ng natutulog sa bahay nila.
" Titus Maxim!" I angrily called his name. Naramdaman kong may lumapit sa akin at dinilapan iyong paa ko. I hissed and when I looked down, I saw Calci, Titus Maxim's cute dog.
" Aw, hello baby Calci! Mommy's here!" doon na natuon ang atensyon ko. I heard a low chuckle and when I raised my head, I saw Wolfram.
He was eating an apple in his hand. " Good morning!" bati ko sa kaniya.
" Morning. I didn't know you're Calci's mother?" kunot ang noo niya.
" Haha, funny." I told him sarcastically. Wolfe laughed a little and then he pointed at Titus Maxim's door.
" He still won't talk to me ." I whispered. Baka kasi marinig ng asungot. Gago pa naman iyon.
" Let's go downstairs? Hindi iyan lalabas. He's been in a foul mood. It's nothing new." Wolfram shrugged. Bumuntong-hininga ako pagkatapos ay sumunod kay Wolfram pababa ng hagdan.
Noong isang araw lang kasama ko si Wolfe sa mall pero talagang nawalan din ako ng gana. The feeling was different with Wolfe. It was like I am shopping together with just a friend. At normal ang pakiramdam na iyon.
It was different when I am shopping with Titus. Basta iba. At galit ako kasi hindi ko iyon mahanap ulit kay Wolfe.
What is wrong with me?
Dumiretso sa kusina si Wolfe kaya sumunod na din ako. I am still pouting. How dare that asshole! Akala niya ba pupunta pa ako ulit dito? I swallowed my damn pride pagkatapos ganoon lang ang gagawin niya? Huh, guess what? It's a one time thing. Hindi na ulit ako pupunta dito.
" Sloane," I heard Titus Maxim's voice from behind when I was about to sit on the high chair. Napalingon kaming dalawa ni Wolfe sa kaniya sa gulat.
He cocked his head to the side while his eyes were all on me. " Let's go upstairs." aniya at tumalikod na.
I looked back at Wolfe. He was chuckling but then he gestured me to follow his twin. " Go." he mouthed.
I was left with no choice but to follow the jerk named Titus Maxim de Ayala.
